This is what I like to call "jumping the gun". In all honestly, this is episode 2. Give it some time to get some more episodes under it's belt. Do you expect every anime to grab you completely the first two episodes? Obviously, you're still going to keep on watching because you are interested to see where it's going to go. So these last two episode have done its job. And I'm sorry, but all I can say to you is wait because it does get better. You're making assumptions that the characters will never get in depth details the entire series. And that's just false. The characters get tons of development. Sometimes shows take some time to settle in and build a base. It can't all be like Attack on Titan where the first episode is really groundbreaking. In my opinion, I think Akame ga Kill blows Attack on Titan out of the water when it comes to shock factor and fights (well for the mangas at least, we'll see how the AgK anime will handle the fights, but if this episode is an indicator, they should be awesome). It just comes a little later. |

| I was surprised to see so many negative comments for an anime on episode 2. It wasn't mindblowing but it was enjoyable for the most part. I haven't read the manga so I didn't notice much to nitpick on. I've seen much worse fanservice in other shows, so it's weird to see so many posts about it here. Now, if they still try to shove it in during more serious episodes, then it might become a flaw, but I won't complain about that unless it actually happens. |
| This episode is okay for me even though they cut some of the chapters in the manga. And their shipping Akame and Tatsumi already. I don't hate Akame, she's actually cute but I still prefer the Mine x Tatsumi ship. |

| Besides skipping the infiltration scene Which could be added on later, the episode was great. Animation during the fight scene was superb. Music was spot on. To everyone who said "omg! Why isn't Tatsumi grieving after his friends deaths!!!" LOL bros, he grieved for 3 days straight. What do you want from him? Cry 69 days? Ok then. When he does cry that much I bet people will only call him our generic pussy main male lead. Hypocritical much. To everyone who said "omg!! The fanservice tho! | Night Raid has got some interesting characters. Bulat totally reminds me of Knuckle from HxH. Tatsumi was real boss against Ogre. This show is getting quite good. |

| Thought the fight between Ogre and Tatsumi were gonna be good. The fight was pretty lackluster. Too much dialogue and still shots in the fight. Also the fanservice were distracting at times especially Leone. Well I still liked this episode. 3/5. |

| Well this episode pretty much sums up the reason why White Fox gave Akame a boobjob. Still pretty decent, adaptation was like 90% spot on this time. Hopefully though since the pacing is still good, and not much happened at the beginning and end of this episode, maybe they'll backtrack a little bit and cover a few bits they missed. At this point if they did that like right in the beginning of the next episode it probably wouldn't throw the plot out of whack. Everything would still happen in order. Especially since some of the later chaps get shorter and cover a bit less material, that'll leave them an opportunity to pick up some slack. |

You're a smart and logical person who states their opinion and points across making a fan like me question ''Is this Anime as good as I think it is?'' but still not enough to make me dislike it. I do respect your opinions and I have nothing to go against it, all humans differ and I wont make someone who dislikes the series to love it as I'm not a person to be considered a fan boy. Honestly, we're lacking FMAB anime, the best ones out there. P.S - Your comment about the art and tone was pretty illogical in my opinion. Good art and coloring doesn't make a good anime. (9/10) Decent fanservice for me. Tatsumi's fighting skills are pretty impressive imo. Although he still thinks about his two friends when he's gonna kill someone. |

I find it hilarious that in this ep there was the screen debut of one of the most hated villains and I mean truly hated and not hate love like Esdese :P |

In fact it's used as shock value to give you the illusion that this is grim and dark, when you're seeing vibrant colors everywhere along with the archetypical battle shounen characters. This goes for the manga as well, the fights are entertaining, but they don't have as much weight to them, let alone meaning and substance. |

| As one of the people who Really loved the manga to death and Was So hyped for the anime.I am disappointed. The art seems looks like a toned down quality of the Art in the manga,On some instances Mein or Akame looks dumb..The animation is good at best and I hoped for something more beautiful because its 2014. The transitions were horrible it was sudden and they didn't waste a single second to jump in to the next scene it was bad. The anime doesn't have the VIBE of the manga and The anime pretty much ruined the atmosphere in the manga.Maybe I'm just being cranky because I thoroughly enjoyed Tokyo ghoul Because Tokyo ghoul has an Amazing anime adaptation which is better than the manga and its Vice versa for Akame ga kill. I definitely recommend the Manga first because That's way more badass in a ton of ways and the Anime isn't really pulling my attention.In fact it tries too hard. I don't know why people are Overrating this because its 7-8/10 at Best,At this point I'm just waiting for the appearance of Esdese(Esdeath?) and Tatsumi gets a Hair style change ^^ Anyway I still watch it Every week but I'm not really that pumped up anymore. |

Shows like Steins; Gate, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika, Psycho Pass and many more in the top anime work this way and I have a feeling Akame ga Kill will be like this. Those shows didn't have pacing issues with sudden moodshifts. But still it would've been better if the fights in the first few episodes were a bit more awesome. |

| Sooo... Man Freedom of Speech can be disgusting. Character introductions were funny, although Najenda's was a bit abrupt. The dialogue during Tatsumi's integration into NR seemed a bit weird. First half seemed a bit fast paced. Didn't like that they skipped the bandits and the Teigu introduction, but it was probably for the better, and it will be if they integrate it later on. Looks like they took some of Mein's Oppai volume and added it to Akame. Well, not like she had much in the first place anyways. BRAHT IS BEST GUY! Rabac... sorry bro you're gonna have to wait a while to show your badassery. For now, you're just... an average perverted guy. Najenda used Rocket Grab! So some people like fanservice, and some people don't like it. Some people think 10 seconds is fine. It doesn't matter how long it is. The fact remains that it is there, and the anime would be better without White Fox overdoing it. Still don't like Mein's character. That's just me though. I don't understand why people complain about the lack of depth of the villain again in this episode. He was obviously just a stepping stone to greater goals. It's still Episode 2. None of us know how the anime will turn out 22 episodes later. I, for one, really hate waiting for the next episode, so I'll probably put it on hold for a while. Marathoning Anime is much more fun anyways. Freedom of speech is annoying. Freedom is annoying. Forums are annoying. People overhype. People complain. People do both at the same time.
