I liked the way they made the "vanished vag and nipples" censoring technique actually make sense within the anime. Yeah great fun.

Oh god. As if it isn't getting better than more than it already is..

Jibril is so hot *A* and I really like her voice too. So perfect. Really just as how I wanted her to be.

Lol'd so much when Jibril was shocked just as Sora offered 40k PDFs from another world.

Jibril's race seeks for knowledge so much now that they have to obey the ten pledges and murders are forbidden. I really liked when she said that the library is just like a life to her.

I liked how she was drooling over the tablet. XD It was funny.
That erotic voice from the VA's part when Sora was touching Jibril's wings. Damn. :3
I really wish that my curiosity towards knowledge were similar to Jibril's.

The animation sequence when Sora used Hydrogen Bomb was godly.
Holy shit, Sora is a genius and we get to see the lovely fanservice animated too. *drools*

Those intense dialogues of Jibril and Sora! Damn so friggin BA.

So much epicness, this was the best episode of NGNL so far. Over the top insane awesomeness, it really sets off my mood so good.

Really liked how Sora told her the 40k PDFs were bait and she can still use the library and his PDFs.

I can't wait for next episode now. :)

LOL so much at the end-credits though. "I used to be a gamer like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee..." XD Skyrim reference was a plus and this was totally a 6/5 episode.

Really fun ep, they had some good fanservice, it was kind of pseudo-clever, creative indeed :D, reminded me of my childhood, kind of when you make some Monster up and the other person makes another Monster up...after that you kind of fight which monster is stronger...oh well :D

For those who still not understanded, the rules was "whatever the player say cannot directly kill anyone" or "the appearing and dissapearing rule will not affect people's bodies". This has been confirmed when they said "oxygen",every O2 molecule in the area dissapear but not the oxygen in their body (if EVERY oxygen molecule dissappear, we will die for sure). Also when Sora said "atmosphere", all the air in the area dissappear but not the one in Jibril body, made the air Pressure in her body bigger than the 0 pressure outside that can make human body explode immediately. That is why Sora and Shiro breathed out so their bodies would be safe.
Anw, this episode was so awesome, especially when Sora manipulate physic's laws like pawn in his hand. I hope to see more epicness in this series, hope they can make another season. 10/10

Madhouse knows how to use image, sound, knowledge and motion to show how epic imagination, knowledge and power of words are. Words are mightier than anything in this game. No game no life! Madhouse rules!! Is this show can be more epic next week???

Agreed. It really is a shame it is only 12 episodes. I don't know much about the LN since I watch the anime but I hope that it has enough content for more seasons if it is popular enough. :)

Not while Hunter X Hunter still has material to adapt, though if that suffers because of this, it would be terrible.

Oh wow this episode was freaking amazing. That game was superb, best one yet in all aspects. Shiro and Sora really had to think with this one and their ever so clever strategy paid off. Jibril was funny, like her a lot. Poor Steph though, she went through the ringer. This show was fantastic before but it's stepped up another level, if the games can remain at this level we've got a real AOTY contender.

Question for those really knowledgeable about Japanese things: who did Sora think that Jibili was imitating? I know its a reference, pretty sure its an animation reference, and if so it's on the tip of my brain. Anyone have a guess?

It's most likely this guy:
http://english.yahoo.co.jp/event/lou_oshiba.html

That's because she summons a moth called ルーオオシ蛾 (ruu oshiga) = "ruu oshiba" (lou oshiba)

Thing is, the sub group probably wanted to translate as close to the original meaning as possible, while maintaining the chained words. Not an easy task

Subgroups should just translate the original meaning and add hiragana above so in whatever language the sub is, the game still works. We all knew the story was written in Japanese anyway.

well, I can read hiragana and katakana also simple kanji, so what I want is pronunciation of japan words and add meaning.

In this episode they can make thing appear or disappear by said a word. I got confuse when the thing that happen doesn't match the words they said.

i.e. they said asa (morning) but sub said Eos Lumo, I just, wtf is Eos Lumo. when the thing that happen is the sun disappear (morning disappear).

Fucking fantastic, amazing, brilliant. I am gonna run out of words to describe this show before the seasons over.

Sora is such a freakin badass. When he flipped the card over to reveal Columb's Force was amazing. I honestly didn't know how he was going to get out of that. You knew shit was about to go down when Hydrogen Bomb was the first term used.

Jibril is awesome. I love her voice.

Amazing show and episode. 10/10

Sora need to get the chess piece. Althrough Jibril is one of the 18 headmans in Flugel's Society if I remembered correctly.

Kind of a dumb episode and it's possible I might have actually enjoyed last weeks episode a little more. The whole patting erogenous zones thing at the start was pretty pointless and I honestly felt like skipping over it to the game. I'm guessing it was supposed to be the comedic portion of the episode, but it really just wasn't particularly funny to me if that was the goal. It's a shame cause I feel Madhouse really is trying to make something of these segments but it just...isn't funny no matter how hard they try to work in the visual gags and references.

The game is unfortunately all but incomprehensible to someone that doesn't speak the Japanese language thus again cementing how this show basically all but requires you to be part of a very niche audience living in Japan and understanding and subscribing to various sub-cultures in order to "get it". This show does not cross cultural borders or even sub-culture borders well at all I'm starting to notice. Fortunately I am somewhat familiar with the pseudo word linking game Shiritori and the materialization aspect was kind of amusing which made for a marginally better second half to the episode except for one crucial problem.

Where it got kind of bullshit again as the show is prone to do is when it became possible to use completely invented words that the show explains away as magic so that it could once again invent it's own rules as things went on in such a way that actually takes away from any sort of cleverness or strategy that could be applied or garnered out of this. After this point to it basically just devolves back into wacky fanservice comedy again and the episode just kind of fell apart for me. It's a pretty frustrating aspect of the show because it feels like the author designs these potentially interesting concepts that he apparently isn't actually clever enough to actually execute on so he then just goes the zany fantasy route on. The show actually could be a whole lot better were it not for this, but I'd be lying if I said I would have expected much better out of an LN story.

Probably giving this one a 2.5/5 since at least the resolution to the game was kind of good and I appreciated Yukari Tamura showing her range again as Jibril. Still the game aspects of this show just continue to rely on a lot of bullshit made up logic and rules that take away almost completely from it while the comedy and fanservice is just kind of typical stuff I've again seen in plenty of shows before (even some of the same jokes and nods) if given above average production values.

well this show is always really enjoyable. imo the exagerated a bit in the game ending (with that play sora did), but nothing that takes it's awesomeness away

and i don't know why there are people that hate fanservice.... i am not saying anime is all about fanservice, but it is a huge part of it, and true fans don't really care if they find a bit of it in a show

I'm thoroughly enjoying this anime.

I usually get annoyed with fanservice but I think the amount they put in is just enough before I'm bothered. I think they balance things well.
