This fantastic atmosphere returned, and with such a crisp and clear image quality. I'm addicted to this kind of episodes.

The new OP... too good. The lyrics are beautiful as well.

Great start. The art quality is pretty much the same, just a few notches up. The sound quality improved even more tho, I'm impressed.

Isaza!!! (the forest boy of season 1)

I thought i wouldn't see this character ever again, since mushishi does not have many secondary characters that show up on multiple episodes. Now i'm hopeful that this season will also show how Isaza's friend is dealing with protecting the mountain...and if they started to meet again.

Nice episode, beautiful OP as usual (:

Time to start season 2! I didn't like this episode as much as most of the S1 ones but it was good nonetheless, I liked how seeing the mushis makes him want to keep moving forward.

It takes a song so special as to make me immediately switch to YouTube when I'm already in the middle of watching a show, just so I could listen to the full version.

Oh, how I've missed this series <333333

It always gives a very nostalgic, sad, calming mood that I love so much.
The music is soothing and wonderful as well. Not to mention each story told and Ginko is the best C':

This was pretty different from the usual Mushishi episodes, I liked it. We got quite a lot of stuff on the Mushi-shi society, it was interesting. Sake that allows you to see Mushi, useful. I wonder why that collector-guy didn't get some of Kouki, he was pretty desperate about seeing Mushi from what I remember.

In truth, I was expecting a much more engaging start to the season, at least similar to that of the first season, anyway! I had to wait a long time, but finally I can also start this "Mushishi" season, yeah! The narrative perhaps lost too much on the technicalities and perhaps this did not benefit the involvement. The quality of the drawings has improved and even the backgrounds are much more participatory in history, these two things make me happy. The opening is catchy, but not as close as that of the first season, of the ending and the soundtrack impact. As a beginning it is not bad, however the visual, sound and narrative characteristics are typical of Mushishi.

Hmm pretty good for a first episode, not much happened but we got to see something the mushi-shi do together, and i noticed that this episode revolves around the gold sake like the very first mushishi episode from season one, well done.

wow i could never ask for a better start to the second season. Got the explaining part like what Mushi and Mushishi are out of the way, as well as seeing main man Ginko.
Must say these updated visuals and art is oooooow so good i can already tell this is gonna be a hella nice ride. Ginko looks hella better with the better art quality, love it.
can't wait for the rest of season 2!

New OP is absolutely blissful.

It astounds me how indifferent the atmosphere and visuals feel 8 years on, I adore it for that.

After watching S1 a few months back in preparation for S2, I decided to read the manga

The chapter they decided to use for the premiere is a fitting one when compared to the premiere for S1

Is it really going to be 12 eps only though? : (
@HybridMBL

Not only does this episode fit with the first episode of season 1, but also goes with the last episode (ep 26) as we see Isaza and his group again, the wandering group that gives info to Mushishi. We saw them in the final episode of Season 1 :)

The addition to lore was much appreciated and it was nice to see Isaza again. Really like the passion of the sake brewer.

Just brilliant choice IMO and I loved the episode so much. A+
