I... actually have no way to describe my feelings about this series, when it comes down to it. That was both the worst and best thing I've ever seen. So this is my first unscored anime. All in all, I give it a Samurai Flamenco/10.

D-Did I like this? I honestly don't know, I'm so conflicted right now. Goto's story actually made me close to tears. It's really sad how broken he became. I loved the beginning but I was fine with King Torture, the aliens made me roll my eyes though.

I might just follow in Kiniest's footsteps and make this unscored because I cannot accurately judge my feelings on this.
Everything is Flamenco.

I think I'm in agreement with the above posts. There's probably no way I can give this a proper score, actually the 2nd time I've done this. I can say this though, I had a good amount of fun watching this. It was one crazy ride and I like how it all came full circle.

I'm glad they stuck with it until the end. if it was a dream or something like that, i'd really be dissapointed.
Most episodes were garbage, but at least they weren't pointless garbage.

10/10 This is one of the anime shows that I would call "avant garde". It is so bad that it is so good. Definitely, one of the best in 2013. Love GotoXMasayoshi.

Yeah, I barely have anything to say. While watching that entire ending, it was unexpected as fuck (like all of Samurai Flamenco). My face was a mix between a retarded grin and a "what the fuck" face, because I had no idea what was happening. First, I thought Masayoshi was about to make out or have gay sex with Haiji, but then he asked Goto-san to marry him. Seriously, this whole scene was so bizarre, that I have no words.

The first half was alright though, I felt bad for Goto-san and what happened with his girlfriend. I'm actually more curious on how the bus driver and his girlfriend went missing then anything else.

The first half of this episode was great, watching Goto go crazy from grief managed to build up some emotions, and I really do feel for him. Plus, Haiji deleting the messages and trying to transform Samurai Flamenco was a brilliant move.

I also understand the reason why Masayoshi got naked, and said what he did. The marriage proposal seemed kind of odd, a bluff of sorts to try and get Goto to realize that his girlfriend wouldn't want him to be acting the way he was. (At least I think it was a bluff)

Then we get a nice epilogue scene, with a fantastic final few seconds, with the exception of Goto still texting himself...

This series was a wild ride. I really liked the first few episodes, then it went nuts, and while I was confused at first, it was still a really heartfelt, heartwarming show, that had a lot of interesting things to say about heroism. There were some definite flaws, but I enjoyed watching it all the way through to the end. I loved parts of every arc, and some arcs I loved the entirety of.

So I'll give the series an 8/10 (Plus it gets the added bonus of being an incredibly memorable anime!)

Damn it wanted a Gotou Mari at the end but there was nothing.

Cant really say i love this anime after the gorilla shit. The final arc had plot holes like how Haiji committed all the acts almost simultaneously.

At least both OP and ED were good. ED were great and MMM did a great job for both.

Final score 6/10. Dont want to remember this but i probably will considering how everything got whack.

Three cheers for GOTOYOSHI! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOOOORAAAAY!

No, seriously, proposing while naked? Gotoyoshi is the best thing to come out of this anime. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't like BL anime at all. But their friendship is so special. Yes, I ship them as the best of friends.

Ah, what an amazing ride this show was. Happiness, surprise, thrill, boredom, laughter, surrealism, everything!

Ah, so many of the gems from Fall 2013 are ending! I only have Yowamushi Pedal left. Winter was a disappointing season except for Noragami so here's hoping that Spring gives me a lot of shows to replace the Fall 2013 shows I've lost.

That beginning was unexpected, but nice yet somewhat disturbing.

Crazy switch flipped.

"Goto let's get married!" WTF XD

How many bakas was that?

That seemed super short for some reason.

Seemed like a bro ending to me, to bad Goto didn't lose his crazy :/ I really feel for the dude.

Well this was one hell of a ride and I enjoyed every minute of it :D

I don't think Masayoshi was gay. He just want to show Haji what love is but he himself doesn't know what love is so he just did something that he think on the spot, propose.

Although the super sentai arc did bore me out afterwards, the whole thing after it already made it up.

Would've been one of the best but was still sweet. Well, sweeter than some I'm still seeing right now and finishing. *cough cough* nearly every anime of Winter 2014

What in the fuck? Did Masayoshi and Gotou get together? O>O!! I fucking hope not but the last bit seemed to indicate that though O_O, so is Goto still nuts? Was hoping he would get together with Mari..
This finale was even more terrible than the retarded plot we had, and I was hoping we'll actually get to see what happened to Gotou's gf...

Show went from 9>7>5 and with the finale 4/10. Should actually give it 2 or 3 but the first half was brilliant T_T

Not only that, but we don't even get to know what really happened with Gotos girlfriend? Fuck you manglobe.

3/10 and a big fuck you

PEOPLE. LISTEN TO ME.

Before saying it was gay as hell or start shipping gotoxhazama, read this.

What should masayoshi do?
He had an enraged friend and a psychotic kid to deal with. How should he deal with what he doesn't understand. Love. What should he do? Being more crazy than them, of course.

What did Haiji expected?
Being part of Samurai Flamenco backstory, being killed by Goto and turning into a mental scar for Masayoshi.

What he got?
A naked Masayoshi trying to "love him" . "Man, this really isn't in my plans"

What did Goto expected?
Some speech about life, love, forgiviness. Masayoshi can't do that, he didn't had the same emotional burden to knew what goto was feeling. Remember, he didn't had a batman's past, he couldn't care about his parents because they died very early in his life.

What did he got?
A marriage proposal from a naked guy who had a gun pointed towards him. This is so ridiculous that you start see reason a bit.
Goto was able to see that killing the psycho kid would hurt masayoshi, even goto himself would be hurt by killing the guy. That won't bring his girlfriend back.

Why did Masayoshi do those stupid things?
He had to shown his feelings towards them. But in a way to really make them understand. Of course that Masayoshi loves Goto, as you love your best friend or brother. You care about them.

What i'm trying to say is: The scene itself isn't gay. Maybe Masayoshi will go out of the closet one day (maybe he really loves goto that way), but this scene isn't gay.

8/10.

good. shit.

I think this show has it's "phases" if you will where there are different ways we view what a hero is/should be, as well as how some may see what hero means to be. I think what pissed people off is the fact that while the plot revolved around the same people, the message kept changing, but it was always about heroes.

I think this show has glimmers of brilliance but ultimately it wasn't well executed enough to hold the attention of most people.

7.75 / 10 for me

THIS.

The only other problem it had was the excessive fujoshi baiting, specially in the end. Sure, it was not gay per se, but it could've been handled differently to achieve the same results. It was that way to lure the fujoshi, which is ok for me (they need to sell), but that was just too much and took the impact of the scene away.

For me what I watched was the producers trying to cater to an specific audience too much to sell. And for that specific audience was probably: OMG Gotoyoshi kyaa!

Even though the message itself was good. Secondary characters were also given too little thought and there was not much character development.

But I do like how Goto kept texting his girlfriend and she didn't show up. Even though there was a lot of fantasy, Samumenco pretty much was saying that heroes can't solve everything magically.

Not as good as I hoped, not as bad as most think and not as gay as it seems.

All in all I quite liked the show and really didn't mind the shifts. That said I think I would have liked it even more if we either didn't get the shift in ep 7 or we still got it but the stuff that happened was even darker and less random like the last 2 episodes were.

Anyway I learned a lot about love today:

Love is Patient
Love is Kind
Love is getting naked in front of your arch enemy and proposing marriage to your psychologically disturbed cop friend who is holding a gun.

Throw in an infinite of bakas, a couple of hentais and we have a beautiful Samurai Flamenco conclusion.

Lol to everything you just said. It is true though. I dealt with the same thing with Kill la Kill's conclusion when I mentioned a few things that could have been expanded on. However, annyone who says anything negative about Sam Flam gets an immediate rebuke from the fans - "you don't get this brilliant anime," "its a thinking person's anime," "you are all too blind to this work of art and its stellar writing." - I get it all the time.

This anime was filled with plot holes, plot twists, and seemed like the writers just threw a bunch of ideas into a hat and when they wanted to do next step they just went to the hat and pulled out the idea.

Granted, there were some excellent themes about growth, reality vs. fiction, heroes in the real world, being blinded by ambitions, psychosis...however, the people who attack people for having a negative opinion on this show are just ridiculous.
