Running away like a forbidden couple was even more hilarious
Is narcolepsy not convenient enough to occur now?

Never said anything about Clannad or Fuuko on the comment
Its the staff from refrain subs that was jabbing personally

I judge what I see and not from the VN/Manga crap knowledge most of you have
LB just didn't excite me at all till now and I'm not the only one on this
Many viewers have already dropped or lowered the scores without even finishing it
(May it not be the favorite Studio or just crappy adaption in their eyes)

What does Key or Jun Maeda have to do with my opinion?
Sounds like your a huge fanboy yourself
I liked Kanon 2006 and Clannad, so what?

It's going to end like Angel Beats if only the final episode miraculously explains everything

Several other shows are much better so far like Golden Time and Nagi no Asakura
A good runaway that was done is ToraDora

Golden Time and Nagi no Asakura has a lot much forced drama... I don't know what you're trying to say here.
I honestly feel a lot from this show.

I will like to add before I tell you this that I am not a fan of this adaption at all, HOWEVER I will tell you that you are doing something similar to rating an anime on MAL before it finishes. People give reviews, or give numbers to anime that aren't finished yet and sometimes you wonder why. WELL by not letting the anime explain itself at least till the end you are making yourself look stupid to those WHO KNOW that the anime infact will explain itself.

The girl from last season appeared. He has a very close relationship with her and seeing her appear so suddenly destroyed his concentration. He blames Kyousuke for this.

The reason for Kengo missing will be explained much later in Refrain. It's actually quite possible that the anime will explain that specific part even better than the VN did.

And yea, Kengo had all the reasons in the world to react the way he did.
Kyousuke did something really really bad there...
...look forward to the revelation ^^

I always rate anime while watching and rarely drop a show,
unless it's something like Blood C or the new Hayate
The score changes when the show is finished if that's the case

Stupid? Probably those making reviews already with a score on it when it's not finished at all

Episode is mostly like I expected (cramming the escape in the ED); which makes this episode rushed like hell (except Cheap Tricks which was still amazing); but it's for the great good for giving Refrain an additional episode. Though would have liked to hear "A world where nothing happened" after the ED when the police came.

With Miyuki already appearing; it seems we won't be getting the flashbacks in Kengo's route; which is to be expected since it wouldn't be possible if it's only 1 episode.

Now waiting painfully again for one week before Refrain really starts.

Cheap Tricks was almost perfect for me if they didn't change Kyouske's called game portrait. Instead of that serious face, they should've retained that smirk. That evil fucking smirk that looks down on you that will make you feel like a dirt.

About the Miyuki part, I think it was alright. In the vn, when Kengo suddenly began rampaging, I was lost like hell. At least here in the anime, we've got a slight idea why he acted that way. Not that it revealed anything big anyway.

As expected, the runaway was rushed, but I didn't expect it to be THAT rush lol. All the buildup and tension was lost because of that. In all regards, I think that was a necessary evil to give way to Refrain.

I'll always pick Refrain over Rin anytime of the day.

Good episode, could've been executed better, but I'm already satisfied. Refrain starts next week~

Been watching the argument for awhile, and just thought I'd say this if you've came to that conclusion:

The execution is fine, it is NOT SUPPOSE to make sense. The drama is not suppose to make sense to you yet you still have to feel something out of it despite all the confusion. It'll only affect those who only know the secret. This is that type of setting. If you dislike animes that reveals everything near the end then this anime isn't for you. ~

Congratulations, you like good animation characters crying for entire episodes over melodramatic love triangles where people can't admit their feelings, and drama over people breaking their toenails. I'm sorry that Jun Maeda didn't write about that for you in Rin's route.

And Angel Beats didn't miraculously explain everything in the last episode. From the first few episodes of the show, it was shown that every character was being reborn. The only reveal in the last episode was Kanade having Otonashi's heart, and that being her last regret.

The Secret of the World is explained throughout the Refrain arc, and they'll go back to a lot of previous points in the show so that people understand.
I just want it to air already so people can get a clue at what's going on.

Haha, please. Golden Time hardly has great execution. It's score also seems to agree. Not only that, but Golden Time is hardly a difficult story to adapt. It's in no way as deep and complex as Little Busters. Another thing to add, is an anime that I also believe to be great, but is also problematic, Clannad.

Yep, many people don't have the capability to keep the curiosity of the secret of the world. And they didn't pay attention to those weird stuff and assume it's just a messed-up moe-blob show too.
So what? Do their opinion really support what you think to Little Busters? Probably not, these only show you're the same with those people who don't use their brains.

Little Busters! met similar situation when people haven't get into the very core of Refrain route yet. People doubted Little Busters! VN why it's so popular and many of people in Japan praise this work. They didn't know until the end of the Refrain, they know they were wrong about Little Busters! VN. They admit Little Busters! is truly masterpiece as same level as other Key works.

Got it?

And you think I'm stupid that I assume LB anime will tell the secret. Oh you think not, hah. Probably the hilarious thinking of the year. Yeah, I've read Clannad VN thoroughly and I couldn't hype about the after story of Clannad while you didn't know about shit and dare to doubt Clannad could be even greater. ROFL I mean, the story was there 6 years ago! Wake up, kid.

There are pretty much 4 main groups of anime-only watchers:

1.)Some people are actually trying to understand it and follow the character motives and catch the hints, and are enjoying the series.
2.)Some people are oblivious and just enjoying the series.
3.) Some people are understanding the Secret too well and don't think it's even going to be a good reveal in the end.
4.) And others don't know about the Secret, don't even try to make guesses, and don't enjoy the anime, follow the face value details and plot details too closely rather than enjoying the character motives.

I don't want to give any names, but there are a bunch of people in this category. Honestly, the guys who aren't catching the hints and aren't enjoying the series are the people I'm most interested in seeing their reactions to come Refrain.

Also, here's a fun Kyousuke pic:

For some reason I think JC Staff executed rins route pretty well. Even if the grandparents scene were only like 3 minutes, I enjoyed those few minutes. At least they didnt waste valuable refrain time and animate 10 minutes of riki picking up vegetables.

Yep, then the same haters will whine about "Ahh, another tell-you-nothing episode again. Such a miserable execution and Little Busters! is a confirmed terrible anime" :P

IMO, this part of Rin route could be longer and more detailed. Nevertheless it's 13 episodes totally and JC staff kinda concluded it well by one classic song Hanabi and the scenes.

I pretty much liked condensing the runaway scene into 4-5 minutes. Hanabi's lyrics gives a very good insight into Riki and Rin's states, it's not as important as CHEAP TRICKS, and I prefer it over reducing Refrain episode by one because of the limited episodes.

I was just to ask You about Ep. 6 subbed, but I can see You´ve uploaded it while I was writing my critical request. I had to watch Ep.6 with spanish subs and it was literally a pain in the ass.

ACCORDING TO SPANISH SUBBERS:

"CHEAP TRICKS" = "ESTO ES UNA BURLA!" ("THAT´S A MOCKERY!")

And I was like :areyoufuckingkiddingme?:

This is how it all begins.

EPIC. Nothing to declare. Kengo> Rest

This ost of LIA killed me, seriously, Riki carrying Rin was the most beautiful thing that ever happened until now, animation above the JC, give congratulations to the team, great job, but why not put at least ONE episode just to show the life of Riki and Rin together? Only a few minutes? The only annoying thing a spectacular episode. But hopefully in time to Riki and Rin x Masato they put at least one whole episode, for me will be the best damn time prior to closing and the miracle.

That was a good episode! I'm glad they cut out the less important things (Riki FISHING AND PICKING VEGETABLES), and focused more on CHEAP TRICKSSSS! I was really looking forward to the original music they had in the VN for that scene, but the new music was pretty suitable too. Can't complain.

Masato finally got to be cool! This was the Masato I was waiting for all season.

Did NOT like that ED song...I think a piece from the OST would've been more fitting.

Can't believe they didn't end with "I will become stronger" against a black background, though...

KYOUSUKEEEEE!!!! Man, that yell sent a chill down my spine. That scene gets me every time.

Looks like they put the runaway stuff into the credits. It was a nice quick summary, didn't miss anything important. Can't wait for Refrain route to start next week!

Slight spoilers on what's to come.

Oh my, wrong thread o_o; Since I've posted something, might as well comment on the episode. I felt it was good, though I kept eyeing the time to see how they'd handle the escape. They did do a montage as some people predicted, and I felt it wasn't very impactful. It lacked the oomph and the 'oh shit' feeling when Riki and Rin got found out by the police IMO. However, it's still nicely done for something they had to cram and I have no major complaints. OST was nice too. :D Oh and of course the cheap tricks scene. Do agree with most Kyousuke could've looked a bit more... badass and menacing.

Great episode! I was looking forward to it, and the part was nicely done as well. The moment where Kengo just yells "Cheap tricks!" and "KYOUSUKE!" was one of the most turning moments in the VN, and for me, Kengo was easily the favorite character for me in the show, and I'm quite happy to see that the anime is doing a great job on his character.

The episode ended with one of Lia's song called Hanabi, which is an interesting choice to it, and to think they crammed rest of Rin2 into the ED, which was something around 2 to 3 hours worth content in the VN. They didn't miss much, but some of the moments would have been real good to show how Riki had developed has a person towards Rin during their time in that house, and the heart breaking moment when Rin gets taken away while she is scared to her mind off could have been more dramatic in the anime, as it would make more sense in the next coming episodes, but I guess its all worth for Refrain, as it looks like JC Staff will take their time on that, as its by the far the most important part of LB, and this is where the real challenge comes for them to adapt it really well and not messing it up.

Overall a great episode and from next week on its all Refrain, this is where it the beginning of the end starts...

I know Kyousuke's doing it for the best but I can't help myself from siding with Riki.

Thanks to Refrain Subs for the great quality of their subs.
GTFO, Friki no Fansub, You`re a disgrace to Spanish subs.

Ok, let´s going to talk about the chapter:

CHEAP TRICKS.
Personally I found this episode as the best in this season. I mean, the most important parts of Rin 2 were adapted, and very well. That, and good animation + the plot twist + CHEAP TRICKS= Hands down. I find OK they summarized Rin´s ED, I can´t find too much material worth of being adapted in that part, only the crucial parts to the story.

Next week, it begins, the greatest beginning of the end of our times...

Yeah it was clear his plan failed but he still stubbornly wanted to follow it.

There will be a 2nd Opening?

http://vgmdb.net/album/41396

"M-02 - TV Anime "Little Busters! ~Refrain~" 2nd Opening Theme"

I CALL IT

Second opening will be Mezameta Asa ni wa Kimi ga Tonari ni starting with the Refrain arc or somewhere in it. This isn't very "usual" for a 1 cour anime, but hey, why not?

There is only one video with the TV Size, but its quality isn't too good, so I'll post my own for reference on what I'm about to say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttR1rOPits8 (314 kbps audio if Youtube didn't screw it up)

Why else would there be a TV Size in the album? If you listen to both versions, you'll notice that the TV Size version's chorus cuts to the last chorus in the full song, which includes the big pause before it. (it cuts into the last chorus at 1:10)
Full song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkVoHJfArHw
(The last chorus is at 3:32. Notice the pause, like in the TV Size.
I think they put the last chorus in there because it sounds more "powerful" and "dramatic" than the other 2 choruses. Not to mention the background voices during that is really kicking it up a notch too. People have been saying that the song doesn't really "fit", but I think otherwise. You can easily put some scenes full of suffering and it would work because of how "up in your face" the last chorus is.

Also, after the chorus, it goes into this slow part, like how it does in Boys be Smile. It's a nice way to "co-reside" with the first OP.
(1:28 in song)

Not only that, the OP on the album is 1 minute and 48 seconds, which is 18 seconds longer than the average OP.

On the second Refrain album, it has this song called: Namida-iro no tsubasa. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LomY7edVCjI
There's no TV Size of it, so there probably won't be a new ED. (of course, that doesn't include songs already existing, etc: Song for Friends)

I'm excited to see if they'll change the opening animations, and maybe have some more quality animation like what we saw in Kurugaya's route for some Refrain arc parts.
I can't see the original OP animations working with Mezameta Asa ni wa Kimi ga Tonari ni, and seeing as the other Little Busters won't be much involved, I think a change could be goodbut we'll see.

At first I thought Mezameta would be EX OP song. It looks like I was wrong...

How accurate is that site?

I'd actually love to see it as an opening but, nearly everything points to it being a one time ED.

The official little busters website still lists that its an ending.

"第8話 ノンテロップED"

Episode 8 creditless ED

well i guess we'll see next episode.
