Damn, a tie and no belt for Aoki. So he stays belt-less as his old mate Kimura. The train of the champions (Takamura & Ippo) has left once again. They share an ups and downs never ending career.
Wondering when Kimura is going to have his second chance.
The outcome was expected, but I still feel disappointed... Aoki really deserved to win. But oh well, it was a fun fight nonetheless. Why can't they make Ippo's fights as entertaining?
Maybe my taste in women is deteriorating, but I actually think Sachiko looks really attractive. That nose looks super cute and she's very pretty when she smiles!
But dang, this fight was an emotional rollercoaster. I really would've loved to see Aoki taking the belt. However, the point came across without him winning.

Man, Aoki was so close to getting his own championship belt but it ended up being out of reach by less than a hair's length. In a way, I suppose that the draw actually proved that he's already champion material in addition to him being a very entertaining fighter.
Besides, it looks like his real prize was his goddess giving him the special treatment for the entirety of the evening!
Yeah I mean I'm pretty sure Aoki and Kimura are never going to win any important match in the series so I'm not really surprised. A draw is a pretty lame way to do it. I'm this is how it works in a real boxing as well but it's pretty stupid that judges can draw a belt match and nothing else is required of the champ
I thought this was a pretty good fight. But I'm not surprised that Aoki didn't win. While I did admire his strategizing in certain aspects of this fight, he was pretty much getting through by the skin of his teeth. And when comparing his level of dedication and seriousness towards the sport as Imae, it would've been unfair for Imae to lose the belt to Aoki. Although rejecting and blaming his girlfriend for his lack of success was extreme.
damn i really wish aoki had won, even tho i don't think he could defend the title for long, he deserved it.
but i'm glad imae realized what's important to him and why he began boxing, despite the draw he actually won.
