Just finished the Greg Keyes books ( can't wait for the last one in series, should be very rewarding ), and now I remembered I bought this some time ago and actually left it somewhere on a shelf. The last book in the Prince of nothing series. I think I haven't read something that intelligent since Frank Herbert, and maybe some Orson Scott Card. Not heavy, with lots of philosophy and metaphysical stuff; as the main character exhibits incredible powers of prediction and persuasion, which are derived from the stillness of the mind and a deep understanding of causal relations.
