The episode was somewhat boring for me, as I didn't care about Dio and all his talk. Casshern needs to man up and dissect the guy.
And poor Friender gets beaten all the time...

Oh fuck, Dio can break Casshern's berserker mode. Maybe he isn't immortal...

Dio was a tad boring but other than that was a pretty solid ep. We now know that he's not really immortal, since Luna was killed too.

So Lyuze has a 'vegeta complex' or something? Saves Casshern so that she can kill herself? Seems that she's conflicted..
Also that Oji-san seems to know about a lot. Who knows, maybe he know the mechanism of Casshern's body?
A good episode.

That fight with Dio was infinitely much better than the fight with another Dio I know of.

I just love how this show still manages to be filled with great action scenes despite having this ghastly atmosphere and relatively slow pace.

There were more questions than answers to this episode. Every episode thus far have been small steps in tackling the larger mysteries of the world, but this was a hefty episode that introduced even more mysteries. Because of this though, I'm finding a lot less to say for each episode, as I can do is wait until answers are revealed. Each episode isn't exactly formulaic, but the general atmosphere remains consistent. On top of that, there's not much as far as events. Just more build up to something beyond the horizon, and I can only guess at where this show is headed towards.

Great animation during the fight. Dio is already taken as a name, wish he was called something different.

So far I'm not exactly the show, it's like a mix between Mega Man X, Fallout and Texhnolyze, but only borrows the worst aspects from each:

Mega Man X = The constant "why does everything have to be this way" reminiscent of X is easily the thing that annoys me most about the games, and Casshern really draws a lot from this.

Fallout = I love Fallout for the atmosphere, interesting story and cool battles. Casshern Sins instead prefers to show the ugly side of things, and that everything is decaying, which is exactly what I dislike about Fallout.

Texhnolyze = Texhnolyze is intense, because the story is interesting, the atmosphere is awesome and since the MC is mortal, unlike Casshern, it's very exciting to watch. Instead, Casshern is unable to be killed (so far at least), which makes the fights really boring, the show doesn't really have a story, and it moves even slower than Texhnolyze (which wasn't even a problem in Texhnolyze).

If it won't get any more intense, atmospheric or story-oriented I'll probably end up giving it a 3/10 or a 4/10.

You really need to go along with it, and face this one without comparing it to other things you've seen. This isn't something to be taken at face value. The fights are one thing... They look nice and help to break you out of the mire that this shows atmosphere can sometimes become. But they aren't really important. The story and the characters Casshern meets along this spiritual journey are the important thing to pay attention to. The show will start to take on new meanings before you know it.

Lyuze is quite stupid and selfish... I get that she wants to avenge her sister but she's not the only one suffering from the situation. Dio killing Casshern could've saved countless lives, and she doesn't at all seem to care about that. She isn't even strong enough to severely hurt him, we've already seen it.
I feel so bad for Casshern though. And there's something I didn't mention yet but I love how his condition also makes you question if an amnesiac person who did awful stuff without remembering it is still to blame. I mean, Casshern's not a bad person right now, not at all, so is it really fair to make him pay for something he doesn't remember doing ?
This show is so interesting, I love it. Also, Ringo is just so cute, I hope we'll see her again.

Did they mention pink hair girl's name ? I must've missed it. Anyway, her dialogue in this episode was peak tsundere. I was actually laughing because how cliche the "Don't get me wrong, I only saved you to kill you later" line is and how they just stole it verbatim from the tsundere manual I assume poor writers use.

This was the first fight in this series that I actually felt was well animated. The series has a whole has amazing art and designs but the actual animation, especially during fights feels lacking but this episode was pretty good.

I am getting very annoyed at the dialogue and its delivery, especially when its Casshern whose talking. I'm just not feeling the VA's for Casshern and the pink-haired girl.

Not sure if it really needed that "intrigue shot" (intrduction of the "villain" figure) as soon as the 6th episode instead of waiting for the mid-series reveal (12-13).

3/5
I wouldn't have mind more "episodic" episodes of the hero learning new human elements / emotions through a dying character.

Hmm, who are Dio and the long haired lady and why do they look like Casshern? The plot thickens.
