Another one has come to an end. The final episode did not solve the whole Enka question, and I think it's good like it is. They can maybe go on with more entertaining episodes in a OVA or second season?
I liked how this episodes turned more or less ito a love comedy between Gekka and Gouyokuou, who has to wait some more now^^
The whole season was full of hilarious, some better some weaker, episodes and worth watching it. btw: Mosaic.wav ftw! Hope SS-Eclipse will sub the last one as fast as they did the ones before so there will be some more people discussing it :P
I watched the raw so even if I was able to understand the story, I surely missed the jokes... Nice ending but it still feels incomplete. The "enka" matter is not solved, the backgroung of the father either, nor things about million... This cals for OVA if not a second season.
I didn't expect too much of this, but I was very happy with it. Some episodes made me laugh out loud. Two were really below average in my opinion, but overall it was a good comedy, but with some plot to back it up, so I enjoyed it a lot, and marked it 8/10. I hope to see more of this soon.
I was too busy but yeah the whole series was a blast!
AMAZING! GREAT! CRAZY! TOO MUCH MOE! WILD SITUATIONS! OUT OF THIS WORLD MAKE UP AND SET UP! That's basically what I conclude with this series from beginning to end of this!
The children of Enka are in fact none! They all claimed to have super powers and thus no one really could confirm which one. On the other hand all the family made!
Kyouka being a water element was strange and the body being liquid and as powerful as GOD was far fetched.
Gekka and Gouyokuou WERE GREAT! They should marry for real in season 2!
So Kyouka goes to Underworld in the end of this series.................hmmmmmmmmmmm...................GOOD IDEA! They can start season 2 with more of a blast saying that something happened to Kyouka there and all start again!
FINAL HIGHLIGHTS
WTF? Ouka pointing a gun towards Kyouka?+Major VS war!
All the family tries to show off some kind of power. Kind of cool to see to what extent why is all known as a child of Enka...........CAUSE they have supernatural powers that they did not mention too much.
Kyouka is a water parasite? LOL that was really shocking...a supreme being in form of water parasite! LOL
Major hug from the family (YES we still love Kyouka)+Gouyokuou being shy guy.
Kyouka is TOO HOT in that stripper outfit!TOO HOT!
Gekka and Gouyokuou married LOOK GOOD!+Super Kyouka KICK!
Gouyokuou BEING FUNNY!
Gekka and Gouyokuou GOOD MOMENTS!
More CUTE KYOUKA!
FINAL GOODBYE KYOUKA...................HAVE A SAFE TRIP TO YOUR OLD KINGDOM!
GREAT SERIES!
GREAT SERIES!
GREAT SERIES! angel999Nov 5, 2008 9:20 AM
Oops! I appear to be incapable of following Rules 16 and 17, so I had to have a mod change my sig for me.
Great end, the scene with Gekka, Gouyokuou and Oasis at the end was great.
I still want to know who the child of Enka is. Oh well, there's always the possibility of an OVA or a second season. The DVD sales aren't encouraging though.
This was a fun show. I'd love an OVA or something nothing big but just a little something to wrap up things like the Enka plot line and the eldest Himemiya sister.
Though it was totally annoying that ep 25 ended with a gunshot and that never actually happened. But the end montage for this ep was great.
Do we live to watch Anime, or watch Anime to live?
Nice finale. I enjoyed this show so much. The level of craziness was awesome and not just lame random stuff like in other anime. The characters were hilarious and music was just great. I was looking forward to every single episode, I'd love to see more. 9/10
The ending is a bit too classic, we still don't know what was Million-chan's real motives. The fact Kyouka leaving in the end is maybe a proof she's the child of Enka. At least, she's the most suitable character. The invasion of Petits Kyouka in the end was cute too ^^
Am I the only one who is angry at the ending? I can't believe Kyouka left after all they went through to go back to her old kingdom! That makes no sense. Grrrr. There wasn't even a Kyouka and Ouka kiss. I disapprove.
Didn't like it much. The past few episodes have been nowhere near the hilarity of some of the episodes earlier in the season. My favorite was probably the episode with Mujackey (sp?), so I was hoping she would improve things, but she didn't get enough screen time in the last arc.
ooh pretty nice end, with Gekka blushing in space so WIN and Kyouka in stripping pole dance mode, aha~ 9/10 seriously lookin forward to some more. They cant just leave it like that T_T
gekka blushing was EPIC. it was a good end, though i can't help but think that oasis and gouyoukou might be spending a LOT of time together and we all know where that might lead to(although oasis technically is part of gekka too, she is still NOT gekka)
in any case, it was a pretty good serious yet still funny end for a great series. there were still some 'loose' ends but that might be forgiven(million/chika's oneechan being the mastermind to all that, who the real child is etc)
I really liked that we didn't get to know who was the child. It never was any real major part and if we really got to know then that character would suddenly get more important in a way. I don't think it would work. Everyone trying to take the blame was a good solution.
Jarmel said: Had it's weaker episodes and had it's better episodes, but overall 7/10.
gekka <3, in the end nobody really knows who is the child of enka, but still i love this serie. random, crazy and unique. a different storyline i never saw before, with the theme family. really entertained me. 9/10

Its ups and downs reminded me a bit of the old Galaxy Angel series -- multiple characters, wacky comedy, fast pace.

Give Toyama Koichi one spiteful, malicious vote!
As a half-baked, comedic kind of authority, I don't mind lending a hand in this situation. (Bakemonogatari, Ep. 8)
I'm going to go and ignore most of what you've said... - Mawootad
Well, it's obvious that Ouka is the Child of Enka... Obvious fact i obvious.
There are some hints to it, the most important was flashback at the beginning of last Ep.
It didn't really make sense why Kyouka went back to the underground empire. They had survived for something like 20 years without her, during which she commits to the family and then at the end after strengthening her bonds with her family, she just suddenly decides to sneak back there for no reason at all.
Then at the very end she sends the mini kyoukas back to her family to be her proxy, but why couldnt she have just done that with the underground empire?
Other than that, it was a good ending.
I also thought the show seemed to be strongly hinting at ouka being the child of Enka from the hints about his past and how he doesn't remember anything from his childhood. Not to mention that he was probably the darkest person there openly stating in the start that he didn't know how to love anyone and hanging around grim reapers.
Sad to see the end of this anime. I do wish they had a short sequel of some sort, seeing Kyouka leave like that was still a bit upsetting even if she did send her mini-mes to keep everyone company. I so wanted a kiss scene between Ouka and Kyouka or at least a shared I love you, but hey I'm a romantic. x3
I also agree with your last statement, Murbella, didn't think about that till I read what you said, but it does kinda make sense. Very interesting thing to consider if this show ever gets continued.
Good ending. I'm not really sure how I felt about this series as a whole. I thought the main cast was great and really enjoyed the first few episodes but I felt it took a huge nosedive in the middle. I thought there was so much more they could have done with the series. I'm still glad I watched it though. The opening is probably one of my favorites and I love how they had endings for each of the characters.
It was an okay ending, and well when I first started this anime I expected a lot more from this but all the way through I somewhere just couldn't get connected by the way the anime presents itself to the viewer. The randomness and hilarious moments sure were nice but the lack of proper story development was really bothering me the huge lacking pace also made it very hard to watch.
All in all an average to bad anime for me as I couldn't really enjoy it at all.
Quite good. Standard "it's not the end, read original source instead" ending, but, sadly, no one ever translating it. What makes me wonder: it was not so bad anime, it was quite unique, so why it's like almost forgotten? Nobody ever mentioning it. And it looks like it was never released at least on DVD, not to mention BD. Were the sales in Japan was that bad? If so, what's the reason? It's not like original light novels were not successful (15 Vols. of main story + 9 Vols. of side-stories, doesn't look like failure to me).
There is such thing as shit taste. Only idiots think that every "work of art" should have the same value.
Peoples would be very surprised if they heard that this anime actually left out ALL the main plot in the 8 volumes it adapted (only caring for the arc plot).
And would be even more surprised to hear who is Enka's child, and why it's logical too. ^^"

Well the original work is quite old now. I don't know about DVD, but it probably didn't sell that well.
