The only thing that happen was Kirito meeting that girl, she seem pretty MOE to me and Asuna talking to that stupid Pedofile I can't stand as a main villain. Still enjoyable episode.

Isn't that more believable in terms of sync with reality? Just imagine it. 30 - 50 years from now at the rate that Technology is developing (hardly any tech development before the 1800s, now look where we are), VR and SAO is not implausible.

Best episode yet btw. Explains some game mechanics, game politics (faction vs faction), shock factor in the revelation of who Lyfa is and ends with a melodramatic plea for help from our damsel in distress.

Of course the blond fairy chick is Kirito's incest-loving little sister, and of course Asuna (aka Titania) is playing the damsel in distress without attempting to flee on her own. Seriously, what is keeping her from darting out of that cage when the creep is entering?

suguo is the GM so she couldn't move against him even if she wanted to

and sugu isn't even his sister....though it is a bit......

Pretty good episode overall. Kirito crash landing was pretty hilarious. Leafa/Suguha should know who Kirito is after seeing his expression at the bar. Suguo is starting to grow to my liking in terms of being the villain. I'm interested to see how this will turn out.

Nothing interesting in this episode. The arc seems very disappointing to me as SAO finally turns into some kind of shitty harem anime. The loss of ultimate death penalty for all players makes the show meaningless. Just anither villain with all the same hero to beat him and no interesting social experiment behind the whole thing. Screw that.

Indeed, this is what I hate the most about the SAO hate, they flood these terrible points and most of the legit criticism is overshadowed. Like seriously, she's in a game and the person holding her in the game is a GM of the game, how does someone expect her to escape?

Well, Sugou SHALL DIE BY MY HANDS! At the end of the episode, was I the only one who wanted to whip out a gun and shoot it at a target(Imagintion to make him look like Sugou) like crazy yelling, "F*CKER SUGOU DIE!"? Well, this was a nice paced episode. Well worth watching. The action was low, but overall I found the episode had rage, cuteness, and a bit of emotions that were nice.

I don't find ALO to be as interesting as the SAO arc. Their definitely lacks a sense of urgency the atmosphere of the game is just to happy compared to the dark mood of SAO. Overall the SAO arc had a much better story going for it. ALO looks a lot like a filler arc. What i also don't get about ALO is that Lyfa says she has been playing this game for a year now, however ALO was built on the SAO engine, and SAO ended 2 months ago, so........what?!?

Huh? The SAO incident was like 2 years long and the RCT company took over SAO from the original developer who went bankrupt before the SAO incident ended.

yea i know the incident lasted 2 years. but kirito beat SAO 2 months ago. and i know RCT took over the company but they didn't take over the game. The game was still operational when RCT took over. and ALO was built on the SAO game engine after SAO ended, that's why kirito retained his old stats from SAO.

I briefly remember Sugou telling Kirito's character (don't remember his name) at the hospital that ALO was built on SAO's game data and engine. Even if ALO did exist during the SAO incident, why would they use SAO's old servers if ALO had a new one going? ahhhh, i'm so confused with this show at the moment!

ALfheim Online was released twelve months after the SAO incident. Argus had gone bankrupt, and in the aftermath, RECTO purchased Argus' technology assets and used them to develop a new VRMMO game. If you can take advantage of the game's main engine and feedback processes, development costs would be significantly reduced.

From volume 3.
Stats and data from SAO carried over when Sugou hijacked the minds of 300 players before they were logged out, just too lazy to look for the other quote right now.

Wait, ALO was released During the SAO incident or after the SAO incident? so if it was released twelve months after the SAO incident, how does Kirito and a bunch of other people play it 2 months after the SAO incident was over? if ALO was released twelve months after the SAO incident began, then it would make a lot of sense, and everything would fall into place, and i would no longer be confused with this show. Also, I would enjoy Lyfa's character a lot more if she wasn't Kirito's cousin. that's just creepy.

ALO was built and published a year before SAO ended. Argus went bankrupt from lawsuits and fines, Recto bought it's assets, took over maintaining the SAO servers, developed the Amusphere, and used the SAO engine to make ALO.

Kirito still has his stats because some SAO data was stored locally on the NerveGear, in the same places that ALO would store it.

Did they not release the handle of Kirito to the world? I mean Sugou knew it, you would think they would celebrate the person who kinda saved everyone..And it's just strange that Suguha wouldn't know the handle of her brother in SAO in the first place.

Also why does Suguha feel the need to keep her gaming a secret from her brother, considering her parents know..

All these secrets that don't need to be secrets for the sake of drama eep

They didn't release the handle of Kirito or anyone else to the world, including the players own families. It's technically an ongoing investigation, and they're doing everything in their power to protect the identities of the players, and the user name - real world ID correlations.

Or people carrying grudges to easily learn the real world identities of people. Etc.

They drifted apart because Kirito spent all day playing vidya and she wanted to see what her brother saw in these games and get some kind of connection so she tried one out herself.

Somehow I'd already guessed the blond elf was Suguha,but..It is strange how Kirito didn't know she was playing that.

Anyway,I'm loving Alfheim.Maybe it's just the ~brand new arc~ feeling,but still it's really enjoyable so far.
