Okay, the part where Mei's "sister" was about to fall, it got me. I thought she was gonna die. XD But sadly, she dies in the hospital. :( And I kind of wished they didn't add a fanservice scene. XP |

That was an enjoyable OVA overall and I have been wanting to know about Misaki for a while. Hope the sister would have been alive in the 1st 1/2 episodes in the show to built up drama and what not. And yes, the ride scene really got me there. Loved the sisters relationship. I would have imagined them not to be close as one of the sister was sort of abandoned. And why that doll? WHY? I think I will have a nightmare about it. |

I was completely underwhelmed by the ending. she died way too quickly. I think it would have been better if she actually got hurt in that fall, and then didn't survive in the hospital. The random "lol cancer" and stuff? IDK. It ended too fast. It was still nice to see this side of the story though. |

misaki was such a lovable character, and mei was alot more happy and girly with her around the near-death ferris wheel scared the crap out me, especially becasue mei saw the color of death around misaki the night before i was scared she'd die at any moment :/ her death was sad, i really wish she'd been a part of the main story. viewers got to know her pretty well for just one episode also nice to see keiichi, love how the events at the end lead perfectly into the first episode of the main series |

The animation of this OVA is almost perfect. Even if it'd be an unrelated title, it still would be great. |

Pretty lackluster but a good prequel OVA. Gives a bit of perspective why Mei is so detached and couldn't careless about how the class was treating her. |

That bird totally scared hell out of me when it crashed. I was afraid that Misaki will fall down and get hurt. Her death cause was already known but that didn't stop me from being worried. I really loved how this episode gives some insight in Misaki and Mei's situation. I'm glad to hear that Mei's real mother still loves her daughter and wishes to see her. It must be very painful for her. Same goes for Kirika. She doesn't really show any emotions to Mei, but it must be her still longing her dead daughter and the guilt. Misaki's family can't afford another daughter (Misaki even has to work to get money for herself). I really hope that someday Mei will be able to see her real parents. |

Very good OVA in my opinion I can't believe how normal and lovely Mei was when she was around her sister, it pains my heart to see how Mei ended up. Misaki's face when she died was just perfect (reminded me of Kyouko from Zombie) and the eyes of those dolls she tried to reach were creepy. Mei's change was very well executed, seeing her cursed eye and trying to smash the mirror. Damn you, curse, for taking Misaki's life! I noticed how I kinda missed the music, I like that one theme. Very nice tie-in to the series with the elevator scene and good job for showing how Mei delivered the doll. That ferris wheel, I got trolled, too. |

Seriously, I got trolled when she fell down the ferris wheel. But what an unfortunate way to die. Mei's personality turned into 180 degrees after her death. |

what the hell? that ferris wheel scene was a seriously frightening scene. hoho. I though Misaki was really gonna fall there. and I thought that was the reason why would she be hospitalized, but i guess it was from cancer eh?*sigh* too bad, they're really look great together. Ive seen Another side of Mei.. And Misaki was also an awesome character. all in all, Nice Ova. :) 10/10. |

A perfect OVA. It wrapped up the overall series nicely and gave me that feeling that only Another is able to trigger. Mysterious yet intriguing. Lovely yet terrifying. Simply Another. 5/5 |

Heh, so this happened before episode 1... hmm Well, Another main story was dark and scary but this OVA changed it bit, atleast from the start. I really thought, that bird crashing started some bad events, but I just got good laughs, heh wasn't so high as it seem. <3 Next time... hmm that ain't gonna happen anymore :'( 5/5 |

Fanservice, seriously (albeit very moderate, I must admit). I guess that the ferris wheel scene was kind of amusing, but that's about it for me. Can't quite say that it gave much of an 'new perspective to the story' since they basically just elaborated the short scenes we were shown in the main series. The ending was quite gloomy though. Makes you even more depressed knowing that's the final shot we will get to see from this title. 6/10 for me. |

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere in the original show that Misaki would die from kidney failure (which apparently turned out to be a complication due to leukemia)? So why did people expect her to die from the fall? Apparently, Misaki's death was too much for Mei to handle, hence why she became so silent and withdrawn, while she looked so full of life earlier. And the fact that she saw it coming probably made it even worse. I liked the throwback to episode 1 of the show, where Kouichi first met Mei. And we got to see it from her perspective this time around. I kinda expected Misaki's death to not be 'flashy', though you can tell that she was still in quite some pain right before she died. |

This OVA was fucking good. In fact it may have bumped the show up a notch. An entire episode of development and insight about the most mysterious and guarded character of the series. |

What I did expect was a cute episode of both twin sisters, and I got it. But what I didn't expect was that they would make this episode as sad as the TV series in the end. The ferris wheel really scared the hell out of me, but for some reason I couldn't think that was the real reason why she died (was explained in TV series if right). I didn't expect that they would explain and show every detail of Misaki's death though, but this way we can at least make a final conclusion to the story of this series. And I assume Mei was angry with herself that she couldn't save Misaki at the end with the mirror. Guess this all explains why she was (sort of) immune (or pretended to be immune) to most deaths in the TV series too, and why the series relies on those dolls so much. By the way, remember seeing the ferris wheel in the prologue of the first episode of the TV series? Now it's finally explained. Romano- said: A bit late, but a very good reasoning, it was what I thought too and probably what the author meant to say with it.I still want to know exactly why Mei suddenly snapped and shattered the mirror in her room, I thought it a bit strange, she looked so pissed it made me scared... The way I interpret it is she hates herself and feels useless because she can foresee death and yet she cannot avert it, she tried hard to protect a person dear to her and she failed; this caused her emotional damage and she went into emotionless mode. Gash_V-D_Hetchum said: Deadly Bird flying at a speed of 100 km/s OK. I really don't know how fast a bird should be flying in order to burst on impact like that one just did? Any ideas people? Or does logic not apply to anything in the horror genre. StormViruz said: DAT BIRD!!! I got trolled. /ignorephysics Again a bit late, but I don't think any logic and physics has been applied to any death scene in Another at all, except for Misaki's death then (and maybe one I just forgot). |
