| Where do you guys live where sushi is expensive? I can get sushi really cheap, about $10 for two rolls. Just depends where you go. I love it but I only eat vegetarian sushi because I don't eat meat. |

I don't have a problem with animals being eaten as long as I don't have to kill them myself. Strictly speaking though I don't each much "meat" I stick mostly to poultry and fish. I just don't care very much for *raw* fish. Its ok though. Good, fresh fish tends to be expensive most places though. If you are getting sushi really cheap its probably not all that good. |

'Sushi' refers to the rice, not the fish. Having the fish inside of it is the most common option but because I became a vegetarian, I don't eat it anymore. Vegetarian/vegan sushi can have asparagus, avocado, cucumber, radish, wasabi root, lettuce, cucumber, different sauces, and other things... It sounds weird at first but it doesn't taste anything like a salad, especially with the sticky rice and the seaweed, and the wasabi and whatever else you put on it. |

| Really? I grew up eating sushi, sashimi, etc and learned to love wasabi way before I even knew what anime and manga is. However, I must say, there are better stuff than sushi. BTW not Japanese, but parents like it and friends with some owners and/or chefs of good sushi places. |
| The only sushi I ever had was at a cheap Chinese place. So right off the bat, I should've known not to try it, because it was culturally out of place and probably poorly made. It wasn't the worst thing I'd ever had, but...it was fairly disgusting. Maybe one of these days I'll try sushi that's better made and we'll see if I like it. |

| Sushi looks pretty so I'll purchase erasers that look like it. But I'll never eat it because I don't eat fishes. I enjoy rice and I'll eat a small amount of wasabi if I have a cold, but sushi isn't my thing |

| When i was younger my mom made me eat sushi and i HATED it, but a few years later (more like 6-8 years later) i ate sushi for the first time again since then, and i LOVED it. I gotta say sushi is one of my favorite now, and i also eat it with wasabi. |

| I can't eat it even if I want to, seeing as I don't eat fish. :v I don't mind (probably overpriced, but it's not like there's a lot of options locally to where I live) vegetable sushi on occasion though, but I will generally eat anything as long as it doesn't include horse radish or tomato. |

| Just wanted to mention this, since a lot of people are saying they wouldn't try sushi because of their dislike for fish. I generally don't like fish, either, but I LOVE sushi. To me, I think it more closely resembles rare steak in taste and oftentimes texture than fried or sauteed fish. It's often not "fishy" at all. |

| when I was first taken into a sushi shop as a kid, I was kinda suspicious...Then I tried it and fell in love. <3 And that was the first Japanese thing I ever liked, and I was only, what, 7? I also have Asian tastes, so I guess I'd like it...but then, why can I never enjoy my dim sim? Also, just to disprove anyone who thinks white people can't like Asian food; all my non-Asian friends loved Asian food long before I'd even consider touching it. Used to be Italian food for me! :P |

| I like sushi. I like fish, I like rice - it's not any different from my normal meals at home, just my fish is usually cooked. About the only thing I have against sushi or sashimi is eating raw (non-fish) meat. |

| The reason why I tried sushi was indeed anime and a bit of curiosity. But I didn´t like it at all. I couldn´t eat more than 2 pieces because then I would...... But soon after forcing myself several times to eat it, I started to like it and by now it became one of my favourite food. |
