I guess i think of it completely opposite from those guys that delete after watching.
I downloaded it, and it took hours, days, weeks, and in some titles, MONTHS to download. So it would be nice to have a little archive of what I have "achieved" in terms of wasting time and space for that specific amount of time.

2 1TB HDD's
4 500GB HDD's
400 DVD's full = ~2.9TB

Wasting time, in my opinion, would be downloading something for 4 hours watching it for 4 hours and then erase all trace of you ever having it (except in your mind) would be considered a waste to me.

I download only if I really like it and I know that it will never be out on DVD. I either watch online or DVD's for the most part.

I have around 400gb of Anime I only really download series I can really see myself watching. I have three hard drives though, a 250gb, 500gb and a 1TB so space for now isn't really an issue for me. I have all my anime on the 1tb hard drive and backed up on the 500gb hard drive.

How can you have filled 7TB with anime? Lets say 1 episode is 300mb, thats 23333 episodes and that equals to around 324 days of anime.

because of my shitty internet connection in my place (if lucky, I can get only up to 60kbps dl manager), the answer is " HELL YES".
and I have only 400Gb of anime because of the same reason above
This is my signature. Can you believe it?

If it's a regular series that I'm watching, but not all that excided about (Bleach, K-on!, ect) I keep it and seed it to a 2:1 ratio then delete it. If I love it and know I'll rewatch it, I keep it a seed it permanatly. If it's from either of the 2 tracker clubs I belong to, Muteki or BakaBT, I keep it a seed it permanatly. Currently I've got 1.5TB stored. My absolute favorites have also been backed-up on DVD disc.

A fair amount of anime gets released in 720p/1080p these days.

Well that's why we have MAL!

I delete most shows I watch after I finish them. I only keep a few that I'm afraid of them disappearing off of the internet. Mostly this is just because I don't have much HD space though.

I try to collect HD Dual Audio Files of series where they exist. In any case I often redownload stuff months/years after finishing just to achieve it with better quality and/or dual audio. I could never delete something I've already seen

So far I've got ~1,5TB of anime and I've seen most of it and the rest is on my PTW list.
I probably regret this post by now.

I've around 900 GBs right now, I'm pretty much keeping all I'm downloading, and trying to get some of the series I enjoyed before I started to download them.

Store them in HD. Make a DVD copy after watching.

Not really, I only have like 2 GB of random anime episodes on my hard drive.

I like to watch anime online, just in case I ever run into issues with piracy.

I also just buy the DVDs like a true anime fan :P

I used to.. After I realized it was a waste of space, I started using my hard drive for more important stuff.

Could probably distribute a copy if I ever wanted to re-watch something that I can't find anywhere.

Not too many animes have re-watch value anyway, so I wouldn't want it to rot in my folders forever.

I only keep anime that impressed me enough to warrant a rewatch.

As much I'd love to have a collection of shorts, space on my HDD is becoming very limited.

Nah, I don't really see the reason too. I only own a few on HD.

I'd rather just watch Anime online, though.

I only keep .avi really, and delete garbage anime, on that note, I should find more .avi anime, there's too much .mkv and my ps3 dislikes it :(
It's a lot better than watching online because usually better quality and it's always there, just in case your net decides to die -.-

I try to keep everything on HDD, even shows I've bought on DVD if I have TV-fansubs downloaded. Sure, you might say "Oh, I can always just re-download it!" But the types of files I collect tend to become rare and unseeded over time, particularly post-licensing. Mainly old DivX3/XviD TV-fansubs, and SD versions of recent anime. Good luck finding Mayu's SD batch of Sands of Destruction, to cite one example.

I don't really care if they're LQ, because (1) most "HD" anime are just shitty broadcast or studio Blu-Ray upscales that offer a placebo effect to people who think that bigger files = better quality, and (2) my monitor/PC aren't quite good enough to play 720p smoothly anyway. (And 1080p is a complete joke for most anime since only some theatrical films and CG content is actually worth that resolution.) Thanks to h264 and ordered chapters, low-res releases can be quite good quality for not a lot of file size, like with Chihiro's K-On!!.

I try to collect HD Dual Audio Files of series where they exist.
Too bad a lot of HD groups like THORA are little bitches when it comes to English audio, even when it's on the Japanese Blu-Rays they're ripping (e.g. Utawarerumono). "Oh yes, we're going to release these huge 1.5 GB per episode files, but a few hundred MB of English audio is just too much disk space."

No.

I download it, watch it, delete it.

I never rewatch anime.
