| I'm always listening to something. Usually whatever comes up on shuffle, which is usually J Pop. Lately I'm listen to Something Corporate, since I love them so, and their epic lyrics. |

| i used to listen to music while reading manga but i stopped after realizing that i didnt get half of the things happening because i was listening to the music rather than reading the manga XP its hard to concentrate with music playing in the background >.< |

| i always listen to music when i read mangas, but somtimes i get too into the manga, that when i hear the song that played during that part, ill think about the manga. for instance, when i was reading one piece when luffy was in enies lobby fighting, Asterik from orange range was playing, so now everytime i hear that song, i think of one piece, instead of bleach. |

| When I read manga online I do, and it tends to be a mix of whatever iTunes gives me. But if I'm in bed reading, then it's usually Caroline, Olivia, Lullatone, Spangle Call Lilli Line, Salyu, or Lily Chou-Chou - mostly dreampop or mellow stuff, kind of as white noise. |

| Either I never posted in this thread or I'm blind... oh well. It's probably the latter. Anyway, I'm always listening to music, so of course while reading manga isn't an exception. I thought it'd be interesting to see if anyone else listened to certain music for certain series (though I know a lot of people who listen to the anime adaptation's OST when possible - I do, too). I always listen to Radiohead (mostly In Rainbows) when reading Eden. "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" reminds me of the series whenever I listen to it now, lol. Berserk, I usually listen to darker/faster post-rock like té and God Is An Astronaut. Same goes for Claymore but sometimes I listen to the anime's OST. For Blood Alone, I always listen to RADWIMPS (3&4). I don't really know why. For Yotsuba&!, upbeat piano tracks are nice. Whatever. For Mushishi, This Will Destroy You is pretty nice, as is the OST. |

| I do, but only if I'm by my speakers because I feel weird letting something attach to my ears. Putting my anime and Jpop playlist on shuffle is my habit. But if the material's pretty intense, I either switch to classical, intrumentals, or make sure the languages sung in the songs played are different from the one used in the manga I'm reading. Otherwise, it can get pretty confusing. |

| If it's not very plot-driven, then normal music is fine. Instrumentals/classic music otherwise. I also tend not to listen to music when reading in Japanese, as I'm not able to read fast enough and concentrate well yet. |

| I usually play music while I read just because I don't like the plain silence... I mean, it doesn't distract me or anything. Sometimes I'll listen to anime music or English music. I have all kinds of music that I'll just randomly play in the background. |

| It really depends on what series I'm reading. For example, when I was reading "Tsukihime" I listened to either Nightwish or Within Temptation. For something lighter like "Here is Greenwood" I listened to J-pop indescriminately |
