So I was thinking, in american you pronounce "hus" as the japanese "has". Wouldn't be correct to write it "hasbando"?

Ex
Raito is my husbando
Light is my hasbando

Thoughts?

I guess it all depends what you mean by correct.
Yes the transcription of the romanisation is hazubando. But since by coming back to its source language it becomes almost a neologism, it makes sense to discriminate it by a single variant, here the final o.

Just call them Hubbu/Hubby. Why make it unnecessarily long? Even Husbo would be better.

It would actually be Hazubando. But the reason it's not is Waifu actually has a direct reference in anime (particularly it's a direct reference to Azumanga Daioh as the most famous usage). Husbando on the other hand is a spin-off of waifu that doesn't really have a direct reference to pull from. It's essentially just a word bastardized on the internet in relation to a meme.

Great insight here, thanks. And I still wonder what did that woman see in a freak like kimurin? He said one time towards the girls to give him a glass full of poolwater in which they had swam.

@inferno792 husbo seems cool

I would say neither

I mean I won’t use the word considering
how shallow it’s used in the anime community

True, we can call our anime crushes however we like. And also: people die if they are killed.

Yeah, it's probably wrong, but husbando has a good sound to it so i'll be sticking with that :p

Thank you for your insight, OP. I'll refer to this thread the next time someone asks why people make fun of anime fans. Keep up the good work.

My whole life in the hand of god

So y'all better quit playing with god

I never say husbando out loud because it would be the end of me so I never paid attention.

All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

It's not supposed to be proper romaji anyway. I've also heard some people use the term "daughteru" for younger female characters they would want to have as a daughter rather than have a romantic relationship with. Waifu is the only one that really makes sense to go full romaji on.

You need to ask about this an expert, some random people on internet won't be able to answer to your philosophical question.
