| They are actually really hard to write, because you need to differ from the thing you're making a parody off, without going to far off the main story, giving you a limited amount of writing freedom to make your parody come to life. |

| No, that's just stupid. Parody is a legit tool for writing, especially in comedy. It's not like most non-parody things provide 'anything new' either. Nothing new under the sun for the most part. |

| Really depends. If it's a real parody it can be good, but if it's the Gintama style of just referencing the fact that something exists (Hey, One Piece is real, isn't that funny? Hey, we know Space Battleship Yamato is a thing, isn't that funny?) then it's the anti thesis of humor. |

| I believe it depends on the execution. If it's a direct parody (say, Attack on Titan Junior High), then there probably wouldn't be any new jokes or nothing particularly discovered. But something like Gintama and others, which spoofs either a genre or serves as social satire, can explore various ideas. |

Hell, I even watch and lmao at parodies of shows and movies I absolutely love because I recognize that they have faults too and think its hilarious when those faults are made fun of. |

| No making something consistently funny is impressive to me since comedy is really hit and miss. IMO look at SNL versus Dave Chappelle show, The Chappelle show is a much better product than SNL that rarely even gets a chuckle out of me but both are pretty similar in style. |
