What I meant is that the sales for the volume didn't drop since some of them opted to buy the draft first then buy the volume later. The draft costs more than the volume you know so can't expect all of them to buy both. |

Agafin said: keragamming said: Nevermind. The limited edition sales for volume 12 sold much more. That explains it. Well, even if it was not the case, it's not a must that older volumes sell more than newer ones, just look at One Piece 2010 sales: **1 2,593,580 One Piece vol.59 **2 2,578,730 One Piece vol.57 **3 2,557,356 One Piece vol.58 **4 2,492,183 One Piece vol.60 **5 2,480,124 One Piece vol.56 I can understand. Some people buy the volume from where there are currently in the anime, since not everyone will go and buy all the volume from vol 1 to the current vol. |

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion. http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30 It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. MAGiC_DREAMBOX said: keragamming said: Wut! Fairy tail is ending? That's news to me. I did say seemingly. Not confirmed but everything is pointing towards this arc being the last. Just about everything you can think of in the series is starting to wrap up and a lot already has. Unless Hiro Mashima can pull something out of the bag to extend it (kinda hoping he does) then this war is gonna be the last arc. Could last years yet though, look at Bleach. That entered it's final arc (don't like calling it an arc, more of a saga) 3 years ago and Kubo keeps dragging it out a la Kishimoto. FT has always had fab pacing so shouldn't encounter that issue. He pulled that continent out of nowhere. And he actually talked about gods and powerful magicians, lost magics in manga he can make things with that so i don't think this is near the end. There is even a new fairy tail movie is coming. He said there is more to come for fairy tail in volume 50. |

Akatsuki no Yona: Volume 9: 29,907 Volume 14: 38,985 (3 days) 68,479 (10 days) Volume 15: 40,411 (3 days) 70,067 (10 days) Volume 16: 62,826 (3 days) 108,612 (10 days) Volume 17: 80,726 (3 days) 133,660 (10 days) Volume 18: 83,329 (3 days) 140,440 (10 days) Volume 19: 91,665 (3 days) Note: The total sales of volume 19 will be a little skewed because of the limited edition DVD. The limited edition barely ranked for Yona while it didn't rank for Noragami. Noragami: Noragami volume 8 sales: 86,317 (11 days) Noragami volume 9 sales: 60,123 (6 days) (failed to rank in it's second week, less than 27,878 copies) Noragami volume 10 sales: 153, 491(14 days) Noragami volume 11 sales: 192,712 (18 days) Noragami volume 12 sales: 186,957 (21 days) Noragami volume 13 sales: 89,423 (3 days) 173,712 (10 days) 204,427(17 days) Noragami volume 14 sales: 91,751 (4 days) (not including limited edition) The limited edition for volume 14 of Noragami probably sold ~5000 copies according to shoseki. |

@geralt and @AdmiralKizaru98 There are only 8 weeks of sales remaining for 2015, and the next volume will be out in 9 days. The lower bound for ONE PIECE is 10,449,726 and the upper bound is 11,273,010. Looking at series sales during the release week up to the 5th week of release for Vol.78, ONE PIECE as a series sold 2,930,667. So it would be reasonable to expect around 3.05~3.1 million in series sales within the last 7 weeks (next week it will most likely be under the series threshold, so it won't sell much before Vol.79 release week) before the end of 2015. So my guess would be 13.5~14 million for ONE PIECE. 14.5 million would mean that ONE PIECE is pretty much at its current upper bound of sales, which is a tall order. Note: You could probably use http://shosekiranking.blog.fc2.com/ to estimate the sales for ONE PIECE in the weeks where the full series data is unknown (this is for 9 weeks, but i've added partial sales from the Top 50 to try and compensate this as much as possible), so that you could estimate how close its sales is to the upper bound of its sales. |

Top 5 I think will be the 5 you listed. 1. I agree with One Piece's placement, which is pretty obvious at this point, and I agree with your numbering. 2. NnT, I agree with your placement, I do think it could earn an extra 100k or so, maybe even reach 10 million, but that's a major stretch. I think somewhere between 9.8 and 9.9 is accurate. I think the next volume will sell somewhere between 600k and 700k units and the rest is backlog. 3. At this point, I'm not sure Kingdom will make the #3 slot. I think SnK will. Right now, SnK is pretty much winding down, I highly doubt it'll get many more sales, I think your 8.2 million prediction is on point With 8 weeks to go and volume 17's sales starting to really die out, I expect several more weeks of meh sales, slowly dwindling away, and then is totally off everything between 4-6 weeks from now. I think it will end with around 8.2 million total sales. 4. I think Kingdom might take the #4 spot. The thing about Kingdom is it's still 4 weeks away from its next volume release and its sales are really starting to dwindle, and it isn't even at 7 million total sales for the year. Even though last week's drop was very small, about 10k units, going from just under 200k to just under 190k, this week it dropped by almost 40k units, going all hte way down to just over 150k. The next 4 weeks are key for Kingdom. If Kingdom can't reach the 7 million volumes next week, meaning it would need just over 100k volumes over the week, then I don't even know if it'll make 8 million sales. Volume 39 only had I think just under 500k sales. Can we really expect volume 40 to sell more? Lately, the past few months, have pretty much been purely backlog sales. Maybe the past few months since the last volume release had the reader base increase substantially where maybe it can get that extra 100k or more sales for volume 40. And then you gotta add the possibility for a backlog sales boost for the last 4 weeks, but who knows how many volumes it'll sell. It really depends on where Kingdom is the week of its volume release. If it can be at 7.2 million total units right when the next volume comes out, I think it can reach 8 million, maybe 8.1 million. But I just don't think it can reach SnK. Again, it all depends on how the next 4 weeks go. 5. Assassination Classroom. This might honestly squeak ahead of Kingdom, but I'm not sure. The thing is it's already at 7.1 million, and you gotta believe the new volume that comes out in a couple weeks will get about 800k sales on its own. I think backlog will be somewhere between 100k and 200k. I'd probably increase your estimate to about 8 million on the dot as a final tally for it. At this point, Kingdom may not even make 8 million sales, so it may just pass it, but Kingdom may also barely pass AC. In the end, I think 3-5 will be within 300k volumes of each other, maybe even less than that. It's going to be an extremely close race and definitely one to follow over the last 8 weeks. AC gets a new volume in a couple weeks, and Kingdom gets its new volume a couple weeks after that. You have to assume AC's new volume will sell more on its own than Kingdom's volume will, not including the fact it'll have an extra couple weeks to pad sales, but Kingdom has the backlog advantage. THey're pretty close as it is, so it comes down to whether or not Kingdom's backlog can hold up, as well as if volume 40 will sell more in 4 weeks than volume 39 did, and I think in 4 weeks it sold like 450k volumes. In 6 weeks, AC should get at least 700k I'm guessing, meaning Kingdom's backlgs have to hold steady and get a little boost with the new volume. SnK may very well have the #3 spot secured with its current sales totals already. We're just gonna have to wait and see. |

@MysticLeviathan Very good analysis and I do feel like I may be overestimating Kingdom, but I think even more than the next few weeks what will be crucial for it is whether backlog sales will get a boost again following the release of the new volume. If they do, Kingdom will make it to 8.5 million, if not as you said it'll struggle to reach 8 million. Ejc said: @geralt and @AdmiralKizaru98 There are only 8 weeks of sales remaining for 2015, and the next volume will be out in 9 days. Yeah, I forgot the sales shown for OP at the moment are its lowest possible. I guess 13.7 million is a safer guess. The thing about Kingdom is the adoption rate has been insane. Just looking at the top 500 volumes, every single one of Kingdom's 39 volumes is in the top 500. And every week the total backlog sales have been in top 5, this has been for many weeks now. For all we know, the adoption rate of Kingdom may be much higher now than it was for vlume 39, and volume 40 may get quite a bit more sales overall compared to volume 39, maybe 600k or more over 4 weeks rather than the 450k it got for volume 39 over 4 weeks. I really have no idea. Really, the backlog sales need to stay firm in order for it to have a chance, it all comes down to them, as volume 40 on its own has no chance of being enough on its own. I don't know what kind of boost older volumes get when a new volume come out, but it'll be extremely important for Kingdom. @Ejc what do you think about what'll happen to Kingdom? And how do you think the top 5 will end up? You're far more knowledgeable than I. |

TG is amazing and beats vagabond. sry, Vagabond: 37 volumes/82 million sales U are naive if u think TG is better than Vagabond, Berserk, Jojo, when its not even better than current Fairy Tail. TOP KEK XDXdxdxdxd You are one of those kiddies who judges a serie by its anime adaptation and not fully read the manga because nowadays most of the anime adaptations skip the best parts of the manga's original story and moments because some studios likes to grab money out of their titles. I agree with the part Berserk is still better than TG manga.. but Jojo and Vagabond are not even close to TG manga. But you trolled me good with fairy tail part , cracked me up a bit. Please do some research before criticize :) |

And let's not forget that those Weekly Top 10s only count volumes that are in the Top 500 and One Piece has 90% of its volumes outside of it. Even if they only sell 300-1000 copies every week, that adds up to quite a bit of missing data when you have 70+ volumes. So my estimate for One Piece is for it to exactly double its mid year sales. 2. 10.3 million Nanatsu no Tazai The next volume will sell slightly less than 750k (including the LE) in my opinion (it will only have 4 weeks to do so). The rest is backlog 3. 8.5 million Shingeki no Kyojin This series has legs. Looking at the Top 500 list, volume 17 is still in the Top 30 despite being released 8 weeks ago. I think the Live action movie and Junior High School mini series will give it enough exposure to still sell 60k per week on average (or more). 4. 8.5 million Ansatsu Kyoushitsu This will be within striking distance of SNK and actually has a shot at topping it though for some reason I think it will narrowly miss it. Volume 16 will sell at least 850k in the 6/7 weeks it will have. Combined with the 8 weeks of untracked sales it had and the nice backlog sales it will accumulate starting October 3rd, I think 8.4/8.5 million will be where it lands. Remember that nearly all its volumes are currently in the Top 500 and that's without a freshly released volume. 5. 8.4 million Kingdom Kingdom has only one week of missing sales and all of its volumes have been in the Top 500 for months so I think Ejc's known sales are very close to its real sales. It's next volume should sell ~500k in four weeks and the backlog sales for these last 8 weeks will be between 800k and 1 million units. AssClass and SNK are within reach nonetheless. |

Vagabond has sold a lot more than Tokyo Ghoul per volume but that's because it has nearly 2 decades worth of sales and was very popular in the early 2000s (Inoue's hype from Slam Dunk). Its latest volumes sell two times less that Tokyo Ghoul 1st week: *2. 243,422 *,243,422 Vagabond Vol.37 2nd week: *3. *76,736 320,158 Vagabond Vol.37 3rd week: 29. *38,357 358,515 Vagabond Vol.37 Berserk is not as popular as Tokyo Ghoul, far from it. |

Vindstot said: I think Barakamon sold enough for a S2 by now. Kinema Citrus should get to it and pick up Handa-kun as well while they're at it. If the manga is selling fine then what's the point of a second season? |

At this point I wonder whether even season 2 can actually broaden its audience. I have a feeling it will simply make fans buy the volumes sooner leading to bigger first weeks, but no increase in volume sales overall.3. 8.5 million Shingeki no Kyojin This series has legs. Looking at the Top 500 list, volume 17 is still in the Top 30 despite being released 8 weeks ago. 5 main aspects I base my ratings on: 1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it? 2. Is it better than Breaking Bad? 3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it? 4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL? 5. Is it actually good? Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant... |

Seeing as how kingdom backlog sales keep dropping, shouldn't we assume that it will continue to drop every week? So I really don't see it selling 150k backlog per week until mid Nov. In a week or two it will probably sell below 100k in backlog. I'm just going by the trend that I'm seeing, I could be wrong though. |
