| So, I guess feminism isn't quite a thing in modern Japanese culture? You look at Hollywood nowadays and all the female characters HAVE to be able to kick ass because they don't need no man!!! I am a supporter of women rights and I have always agreed on the idea of male chivalry but of course when a show goes too far on either sides of the spectrum, it does get silly or worse, irritating. |

I know it goes against the feminist ideals but there is something special about the thought of the man you love protecting you. It goes back to our more primal natures..just like how many men love the nurturing aspect of the female side. Why it is just as romantic when the strong protector is curled up with his head on her lap, as he rests while she sings to him and strokes his hair. |
