Not being nitpicky but they really don’t need to recap stuff every episode lol. I know they wanna convey the uber high stakes everything has atp, but still. That aside though, Bakugo’s death fakeout was always something which we all always knew was going to happen, but yeah, the fact that many of us don’t like it aside, it was his return which actually made this entire sequence special. Credit to the adaptation as well tbh, I mean reading this part in the manga didn’t make me feel anything at all, as yeah, the death fakeout part was TOO BIG of a thing to overlook lol.

Nonsense stuff with how Bakugo started operating aside, I mean, we had bigger things to deal with this episode right? The author is pretty good at drawing stuff, but his drawings are sometimes so good, that they’re actually pretty confusing, so yep, the adaptation may not change what’s already written, but yeah, the way they adapted all the action stuff this episode just makes you go wow. Again, stuff with All Might not eventually dying…

… when his death would’ve actually worked in elevating the content in the long run, just kinda tells the author isn’t really about taking risks, is he? Anyway, the people behind this episode knocked it out of the park this time.

MHA has been on TV since 2016, we had so many seasons and so many episodes, but yeah, this has to be the best looking MHA episode till date. Holy christ.

Bakugo's time to shine this episode. You know, even against all odds, he doesn't back down and stands up to face what's in front of him.

Not going to lie, I've been more excited about Bakugo vs AFO than Deku's fight. This turned out to be an explosive episode, literally. This has also been among one of Bakugo's best fights in the series.

Production wise, this series has never really nailed the full on “batshit crazy” episodes. You’d get the occasional crazy cut here and there, sure, but never a whole episode that looked and moved like crazy from start to finish.. that is, until today. Right from the opening seconds, you can tell this one’s different. The atmosphere, the music, the tone, everything screams not your average episode. From Bakugou’s signature explosive cluster off U.A. to the moment he grabs All Might, it’s an all-timer of an opening to an episode, no doubt about it.

And man, as much as I hate those constant cutaways to everyone else watching live, I’ve got to admit the boards there were really solid, so I’ll let it slide. And yeah, blah blah, characters talking, whatever, let’s get back to Bakugou’s full on madness against AFO. You can tell Vincent Chansard had his hands all over this one. Bakugou literally went Gear 5 for a second lmaoooo. I still can’t believe that in the year 2025, I actually got hyped over a fucking My Hero Academia episode. Like... WAS THIS EVEN THE SAME SHOW I’VE BEEN WATCHING ALL THIS TIME???

Big props to the team here, actually insane fucking cooking from them here. We've been well due for something like this. GO FUCKING BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!

Practically a perfect episode because the star boy is finally taken his crown on stage. The cuts were absolutely beautifully on point with Hori's work. The music impeccable. Nobu and Kenta's voice acting made me tear up.

Been waiting for over a year for this to get adapted. *CHEF FUCKING KISS*

I have no words. This is by far THE best MHA episode to date. Holy shit. We're at the most significant moment, the pivotal turning point of the final arc, and the staff understood the assignment when it came to making sure they gave this part their all. Talk about going beyond, jesus christ.

Edit: Can't believe I almost forgot to say this, I noticed Vincent Chansard worked on this episode, holy shit they REALLY understood the assignment if they recruited the GOAT for this 💀 no wonder those last few minutes when Bakugo was keeping up with AFO's speed went so crazy. It also explains why the visual style of that sequence felt so familiar, if you watch One Piece you'll know what I mean.

Also I forgot to mention this last week, but this has to be the best ED theme MHA has had. Bump of Chicken doesn't miss of course, but it's the visuals that got me. It's definitely an emotional ride to watch that ED sequence and see a decade's worth of memories packed in there. Nice little highlight reel to send the series off.

What I'm seeing here is Studio Bones delivering cinematic experience without requiring me to go to cinema, I'm truly overwhelmed by the sensation this episode offer to me.

And just in case you miss it, Studio Bones is now called "Bones Film", and I like the new name since it reflects that they can deliver film experience whether you're watching in cinema or at home. Very few studio can do that.

In season 7 I comment that I can't imagine how season 8 can surpass season 7 but Bones just do what I thought was impossible. In season 8 every episodes feel like a climax episode.

Now for the episode itself, the unsung hero is those who make the hi-tech suit All Might use, it's truly a life saver, mechanical department deserve more respect.

The composer Yuki Hayashi also in the zone on creating yet another triumph variation of You Say Run. This song never gets old.

I usually say "next week can't come soon enough" for good anime but for this anime, I need some times to calm myself down otherwise I'll collapse from audiovisually overloaded.

As expected from the staff list, this was bound to be a spectacle. LOL. And, it was way above that. This was Bakugo's episode through and through, and the whole staff put their heart into this episode. What an incredible spectacle for the show and in its final season. Incredible work.

Some really emotional moments as well. How everyone was praying for All Might's safety, and everyone was hyped to see Bakugo's return on the big stage. Bakugo's smile with All Might was very precious. It was an amazing episode. Peak.

Last two episodes might be my some of my favorites already.everything looks so gorgeous. Last one was really traumatising to me, but now we had bakugo saving all might, having a "nah, WE'd win" moment and accepting all mights hand and smiling. He even did THE gojo pose. What really sent me though, was the way he was laughing and then yelling in pain while going so fast he can't stop.

Bakugo managed to handle his pride and now Finally bakugo is not shackled by selfdoubt anymore and I can't wait to see if his full potential is enough to handle a raging all for one. He is smiling and laughing like his Idol now at least. Well Sort of.

Jesus that was the best looking episode of the show. The episode had some of the best directed sequences in the entire series, really superb stuff. It was as perfect an adaptation as you could hope for. Not to mention Yuki Hayashi's OST was perfect as always. 5/5

While I can see why some people would have preferred Bakugo to have died, his return was all but confirmed once Edgeshot/Best Jeanist stepped in to save him and that was in the following episode after he was mortally wounded (12+ episodes ago). Bakugo's so-called 'death' was also pretty tame in terms of it's shock value; he got a fist through the chest, a double-page spread of him looking dead and then next chapter/episode people went over to save him with quirk nonsense.

I've seen some pretty egregious and cowardly uses of this trope before (i.e. giving a character a maybe/maybe not death then have them return) that makes the character just feel like a deus ex machina chess piece rather than a genuine character "cough" JJK "cough". Here it kinda works because Bakugo never died, we've known he was being revived/saved in the vicinity for 12+ episodes and using him here gives resolutions to a large part of All Might and Bakugo's arcs.

There were probably better ways to write it but overall it's pretty consistent with how the rest of MHA has been written.

Masterpiece episode for a masterpiece season for a masterpiece show, i don't give a shit about the reputation Hero Ac has, it reached classic nekketsu status for me, it always had the potential for it and each season became more and more special in my eyes

Bones i fucking love you, even changing combat scenes in the opening for spoiling purposes, absolute genius,

This needs to be showed in history books how to make a finale, i'm just speechless

Already giving 10 for this season i don't give a fuck

Amazing animation and battle sequences. And we got more Meryl which is always a win in my book.

Holy shit, absolutely stellar episode man both for the story beats and the production, they delivered so hard. And I’m not even that big of a Bakugo fan but they got me feeling those emotions too lol, it was awesome seeing him go up against All For One and go as far as claiming himself as the “final boss”, or I guess it would be more like a hidden final boss since AFO didn’t expect it at all, and for Bakugo to bring up the past with his brother and Kudo, the reactions from AFO were just as satisfying as Bakugo kicking ass. Also, the way All Might in the One For All realm changed back to how he used to be once he was saved was a nice touch, same with the conversation with the Nighteye hallucination, it was all very satisfying.

Now I don’t understand exactly why Bakugo is so much stronger now, they explained it a couple times but I didn’t quite get it, basically he’s still alive thanks to the honing of his power over all the years, and the pain he’s feeling is related to how strong he is right now, at least that’s what I got from it. But even if I was having a hard time understanding that, Bakugo’s badass moment here wasn’t hurt by it at all, I loved it a lot. It’s also good that Edge Shot is still alive looks like, I thought he sacrificed himself but it looks like that’s not the case thanks to Bakugo. I’m also glad we got some updates on the other fronts of the war, looks like they’ve all been settled besides the one at the stadium which we haven’t seen much of, I kinda wanna see it but I also don’t wanna be torn away from the main battle lol.

And it looks like in the next one we’re getting some long awaited AFO backstory, it’s probably gonna take up a lot of time but it’s something I’m really interested in so I don’t mind it.

Okay this was another even higher peak. Seeing AfO run away from Bakugo was levels of satisfying I did not know where possible.

I hope Bakugo is allowed to win. I guess atleast nobody is left to steal the show this time.

I got a bit pissed when they had to distract us from Bakugo vs AfO by showing off all the side characters, but atleast that was short.

I wonder how long bones will keep up the animation quality.

Bakugo is a real sweatlord, even has sweat in his bloodstream.

I was literally shaking with excitement for a second, lol. MHA caught me off guard.

Took WAY TOO LONG to get to the good part, and we're still not through it. Next episode's preview shows even more flashbacks. So a good 2-3 weeks of waiting to watch a highly anticipated fight.

Come on, stop stalling with the flashbacks, status reports, hallucinations and deep dives. This is about the biggest moment of a fan favourite character.

mha plot armor is so funny. everyone was crying their ass off bakugo dying from a punch then this mf yeets himself into 10 layers of concrete walls

i can't even argue much of the plot convenience bullshit about "energy" and AFO taking his sweet ass time "killing" All Might. the episode looked gorgeous and loved every animated sequences of it.

next episode we get a backstory just when it was getting good so i just gotta wait till things get back on track on the other episodes

Bakugo's arrival, Midoriya and Bakugo's eyes meet.. there's no need to convey anything through words. The boys understood the mission.
The scene where Midoriya was swinging Bakugo towards All Might and All for One was so damn good.
The colors, the animation, the soundtrack everything was mind-blowing.
All Might calling Bakugo by his hero name, ''Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight''.. I would say that no one would call him by that name so sincerely except All Might.
Edgeshot..my man what a hero he was !!
Good to see him alive even if it's just a piece of him.
Bakugo's laugh in this episode was contagious. He was enjoying his newfound power which gets stronger through the pain that he experiences. Becoming young brought back all the hate that All for one harbours towards the second user of One for All, Kudo. As much as All for One hate to admit, Bakugo has become so stronger than he was before and he can't treat Bakugo as some side character.
Bakugo addressing himself as Kacchan as what Midoriya calls him brought me to tears.
