What the hell is that different color on the inside of their hair gimmick???

Well, it's been awhile since we've had a workplace romance series, of which mangaka Makoto Kudou's work is one of them amidst Winter's Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu a.k.a I Have a Crush at Work (which the latter show is already very good to being with).

However, the track record towards Senpai-Kouhai workplace romances these past few years...are just not that good, so hoping that this show will turn that around.

angela's OP is quite the groovy one alright.

The always serious Senpai of Azusa Kannawa in her company's Publicity Department, stacked against her other colleagues, and the total newbie of Yu Kamegawa, she tries to assert her seniority well enough to mentor him on his roles. Though she can really fluster when it comes to the embarrassing minor things, like trying to greet him and her colleagues properly as fellow co-workers, and even inviting him just for a regular company lunch.

For a start, Kannawa wanting to supervise Kamegawa is a good setup, though him consuming cup ramen on a broke budget, Kannawa's certainty astounded by that. Not to mention, her communication level is just not on par with the others, and having to cite materials just so she can be good at at least speaking her mind out, the Senpai has her qualms of people talking behind her back, but it'll take a while before the Kouhai learns another side of her, not just defending her from the bad mouthing of others.

Ami Maeshima's ED is decent, but nice.

A decent workplace rom-com for a start, just slowly letting it be a mainstay.

I haven't watched it yet. This is basically the same as My Tiny Senpai?

This reminds me of My New Boss Is Goofy but with hetero energy instead of homo.

I gotta start by saying while the song itself wasn't anything too special holy hell the person singing in the opening song has the voice of a angel.

As for the show idk I had no expectations but I really like it so far. These kind of shows tend to either be great or really boring. Azusa is actually a great depiction of the introvert type or me in other words. The kinda person who can put on a tough brave farce but is a nervous wreck underneath.

Kinda like a opposites attract kinda show by the looks of things. I really like it so far.

They also put a weird emphasis on Azusa's eyes this episode they're really pretty. I won't mention animation or anything since its not wise to trust the first few episodes based off that.

But overall a promising start for the anime and the fall 2025 season in general

Always good to get some more adult workplace romance, they’re going to be such a cute couple I know it. Wholesome gag romcoms are usually a good time so I’m sure this’ll be fun. Can’t wait to see Azusa get better at expressing her emotions and finally asking Yuu on a date lol.

Welcome back Erina Nakiri.. surely not the only one who sees the resemblance?? Azusa is absolutely adorable. Love her design. Too bad those social skills are horrible. “ Move you’re in the way” “I did it. I greeted them properly” lmaoo she’s so derpy. We got some things to work on, but I think Yuu looking up to her will be the catalyst she needs to change. The way he genuinely thinks the world of her even when she’s being, frankly, an asshole is nice. It’s like he’s able to see thru her facade and see her for the kind person she is thru her actions, ignoring the words.


Can’t really blame her colleagues for talking a little shit about her, but doing it in public in the office like that is dumb. Respect to Yuu for confronting them, but you can’t be upset that people don’t like Azusa when by all accounts, she’s very nasty to others. Even if that’s not her intent. Long way to go, but I’m looking forward to the journey. If this is half as good as I have a crush at work, I’d be content lol.

Still better than what they did to the main characters hair in Betrothed to my sisters ex. Her hair was all glowy, looked kinda radioactive...
