| Since they had tea with the Authens, I think it's possible that Mr. Crowley's visions are coming true since one of his readings mentioned, "timid teacups," and Mr. Authen is timid or afraid of what he remembers. He definitely knows things about Anya's past and is worried about his suspicions. I have a feeling the paper Mr. Authen wrote his thoughts down will be confiscated by Loid. He might sneak into their apartment next chapter. π«’ Despite the likely chance that Mr. Authen is one of the scientists who experimented on Anya, I still think he's a good person. He was honest with Loid about meeting Donovan a long time ago. Although his dementia could also be why he's so straightforward with his answers. π€ Also, the Authens' last name could be a pun on the word "authentic," which means real or trustworthy. I believe they're genuine people with good intentions. π While Mr. Authen is suspicious of Anya, I don't think he will report her to Donovan or the SSS because he seems to have no political bias, and Anya is like a grandchild to the Authens. π |

| Mr. Authen mention that a plan could be underway and I think the experiments includes making telepathic child soldiers or esper spies for the war, which is why I believe Anya was experimented on. If he tells Donovan about Anya being Test Subject #7 they might intentionally test her powers. Anya maybe in grave danger and she could be kidnapped too. They might use her for the war against Westalis so Loid and Yor will have to save her. My interpretation of Crowley’s visions is that they’re hints to Anya’s backstory/past. “A rustling forest” is the facility where Anya and the other test subjects become espers. “A room with drawn curtains” is where Anya was taken to be experimented on. “Smoke” may mean the facility ends up burning down or one of the scientists is a smoker. “Timid teacups” is Loid’s conversation over tea with the Authens. Mr. Authen may be innocent and has regrets. Maybe he was forced to do his job and couldn’t quit.  “The roshambo of crows” could mean Anya would play Rock Paper Scissors with crows while she was held captive at the “research facility.” Roshambo is another word for Rock Paper Scissors. “A headache hurts” is when Anya gets dizzy when she hears too many thoughts inside her head. “A red blizzard” could mean many people died from the experiments (only Anya survived) or the scientists got assassinated because it was a failed experiment. Or Yor is assigned to kill the scientists who harmed Anya. She was probably experimented similarly to Bond by being electrocuted by a machine and getting injections.  Also, Chapter 1 states, “She (Anya) was made thus by accident, an unintended consequence of research experiments conducted by a certain organization. She later escaped from their facility.” Anya being made an accident could mean two things. Her birth was either a mistake or her being an esper is the mistake. We are most likely getting her sad backstory in upcoming chapters! π₯²  |

| No one would be just related to Desmond as is after all. Just when it seemed like old man wasn't involved, they dropped that bombshell of a cliffhanger. The best part is, he has realised Anya's secret. Would love to see how we'll go from here on. |

But if they just go save Anya I don't see where the so expected Loid vs Yor could happen, unless it's like the movie and again they don't notice anything new. Loid vs Yuri was really nice or even the silly fight with drunk Yor at the castle, I really want more. |

| Crazy chapter!!! That ending, wow! But how did he came to suspect Anya?! He either has to be an esper, or he recognized Anya because he did the experiments on her? Author may be tricking us into believing the old man is bad (for working for the bad guys), but he may well be "Mr.Chimera" who likely helped Anya escape the facility. Why would he want to inform Donovan? It's entirely possible Donovan isn't who we think he is (some evil mastermind); or it may be dementia and he's confused or no longer remembers stuff correctly (like, he may served Donovan once but betrayed him later, but now he doesn't remember events post-betrayal etc). As someone mentioned here, dementia may have been "self-inflicted", probably to prevent Anya (maybe Donovan, or other espers?) to read his mind? Precaution to prevent intel leak? Things are getting VERY interesting! |
