| Must say, never cared for Gundam until they decided to go down yuri baiting cute MC route, and damn I love it. Glad they're going down this direction finally got me interested in the series. Seeing fans of the series rolling their eyes at the cutsy MC is icing on the cake. |

| I liked it a lot. Was unsure about the protag being yet another teenage girl (although I loved WfM), but I liked her by the end of the episode. Animation is fantastic too. |

| This is… well, disappointing to say the least. This gundam is another proof that bandai hates Tomino for some reason lol Seems like IBO will be the last true gundam tv-series which is not exactly bad as it is a highest rated gundam show by westerns and asians even if not as popular as SEED, 00 and UC. But still kinda sad. At least we’ll get the second Hathaway movie soon(I hope) and the first one was great. I mean, gquuuuuux is not exactly bad. Flashy character designs, cool mech designs that look awful in CG because of its complexity and an ok premise of what-if scenario. But it is all feels too clanky, as bandai tries way too hard for it to be bright and fun. There is some sort of nostalgia feeling here, but i didn’t like the directing for the most part. Even Witch from Mercury was better in this regard (tho it fell apart in second cour). Anyway, I still rated it 7, as I hope it gets better. Idk, may be the movie prologue was an actual better opener, than this episode, but sadly I didn’t see it. |

| I find it weird that episode 1 started with the new characters being introduced to us rather than doing it like the Beginning movie where it started when Char stole the Gundam which seems they will show on episode 2. As I said on the movie, I like this new Gundam series and the usual khara stuffs are very noticebale in here like the music, battle scenes and camera angles. |

This is by the creator of FLCL, not by the creator of Evangelion. His style is everywhere here.

It's a NewType thing and that character is such...but also:
1. She is familiar with mobile suits in general...everybody is at that point.

So far, aside of Gundam UC, GQuuuuuuX resembles mostly FLCL, DieBuster (aka GunBuster 2)...and maybe other Gainax shows, but not Eva (especially nothing to do with its atmosphere). | Well, I had already watched this episode in the cinema, and I believe the next 2 weeks are the rest of the movie so I am out of content for 3 weeks. Absolutely loved hearing Tomoyo-chan once more as a main protagonist, this time in a Gundam show. I am not very keen on the Red Gundam design but the rest of the designs are very good, very modern with a touch of the Khara people, probably. Nice ending, not really liking the opening yet but let's see the opening sequence first. Eagerly waiting for new episodes. |

| Will this be official Yuri such as witch? I love it. But I prefer they put feminime design for main female protagonist. Suletta and Nyaan's design is meh. |

| Okay so this is my first Gundam anime, I heard it could be watched standalone but I saw a few terms and Im unfamiliar with them. If anyone can explain them, What is the Zeon army? Did they win? What are the new types? Some basic newbie questions like that but other than I really liked the first episode. |

Amate’s a natural at handling Gundams. Not sure about the story yet, but I like the art—it’s good to see the mechas aren’t CGI.

Newtypes are people who were born in space and developed superhuman abilities. They're able to psychicly sense each other and pilot mobile suits better than a regular person. Zeon were the villains from the original 1979 series. They were the government of one of the space colonies (Side 3 I think), and wanted to be independent from the Earth Federation. This show takes place in an alternate timeline where Zeon won the war. |
