Ochoufujin's insecurity is really making her into a pretty unlikeable character. I guess we'll see if she gets over it and redeems herself by the end of the series.

This episode was intense. What the heck is Munakata coach's relationship with Ranko? That scene was so weird.

what a weird episode for character relationships. i thought ranko was supposed to be one of those cool and mature characters but then she clings to the other team's coach like that. what was their relationship in the past? is the coach having affairs with high school tennis girl players? how old is he anyway?

many questions....and we're already halfway through the anime

also, i noticed that pretty much none of the characters are likeable because they all have some sort of flaws, which is pretty neat and realistic. except maki though, she's perfect apparently

Nishi's high school tennis team is a terrifying hellscape devoid of empathy, plagued by mean-spiritedness and whose inhabitants are driven by maddening insecurity.

Still, who expected that scene between Ranko and Munakata? Holy shit.

Maki has no flaws that we know of, while Otowa has no qualities. It might be interesting to know more about those two.

I can see why tennis style changed if you can get injuries like Ranko's.

The rest of the club continues to find and use any small thing to bitch and moan to Hiromi. You'd think it get repetitive by now, but I still like it.

Ryuuzaki is looking to start trouble now her position as "Queen" is being undermined by the coach interactions with Ranko and Hirom's continued progress.

Man, whenever Okas teammates are starting to accuse her I ask myself if they won't get ever tired of dat shit.

Interested to learn what kind of backstory is behind the relationship of coach and Ranko.

Midorikawa almost won a set against Ryuuzaki, but she swung too low, and her hand hit the ground. She then ran to Munakata, and she appears to know him really well, referring to him by his given name.

Meanwhile, Hiromi heard her coach speaking to Ryuuzaki, and knows that she has been chosen as a "5th player," in a selection of junior players from all over the country. How will she respond to this?

Ochoufujin is starting to gain "rival syndrome" where they think everyone is looking down on them. But it doesn't really fit or work for her in my opinion. She has skills and confidence so why she want's to be validated is ??????

Also I really wish Hiromi would grow a backbone. Like I know it's Japanese custom to not speak out of turn especially to your seniors but these varsity girls and Otowa are ridiculous. They're wasting everyone's time.

I also gasped a little bit with the ending of Midorikawa knowing the Coach. Like lol this man puts himself in such awful lighting constantly.

Also because I'm already seeing Ryuuzaki almost like a past Bakugou Katsuki in rivalry comparison I'm shocked she wasn't more torn about winning by default but she also was scandalized when she heard from her couch that she would've lost. lol. Anime never change.

Okay, I'm really starting to side-eye the coach...
