haha... 8man self-confidence when answering about their relationship with "love triangle" didn't just made Haruno laugh even myself XD..

the prom party problem'll take a difficult measure since Yukino's Mom was in it too. I wonder how they'll deal with that.

still, the realism of Haruno words really pierce the fact of their actual relationship so far the "codepedency" and somehow that 8man and others need to change to something that"Genuine".

and as expected...this episode star was Yui.
iI liked Hachiman conviction on his feeling toward Yukino and could state it with "someone who''ll save/rescue her" when Sensei asked it thoroughly.. not just as a codepedency realationship.

Despite of that Yui act in here on letting him go to aid Yukino was so beautiful yet sad.. Even tho i'm in team 8manYukinon , i felt so bad for her.
Moreover somehow the feels was really touching in this one, especially with Yui's Ballad in the end.

it seems the train of feels weren't done yet as seeing from the preview about the Sensei i assumed.

Oh fuck why am I crying? When Yui cried this pain on my chest has gone stronger, that scene really hits me so hard, Yui smiling while crying was totally sad.

Yukino on this episode was kinda depressing as well that look on her face was like she's about to cry this is truly an amazing series.

Poor Yui, saying "I see, and with you there, I think things will work out in the end" (I am watching the dub, so I don't know what the sub translation was) subtly referring to their relationship and the tears, showing her pain. Her refusing Hikkigaya's request to walk her home, coincidentally leading to them walking, or running from each other. Poor Yui, her heart is so big and all that pain she's enduring must be unbearable. She said she'd be crying now and forever, because of her passing everything on to everyone else, again hinting at the codependency.

Haruno calling out Hikkigaya's love triangle as codependency, we knew it from when she said it was something worse than trust. Although I didn't catch on so easily, I remember someone calling it out as dependency, so I guess he was right. I don't know if it was intended for the audience to realize that, but that dude solved it for me lol.

I knew from the first time we saw the intro that this season would break my heart. I really liked the first season intro and never skipped it, only once or twice. I skipped the entirety of the S2 intro, but I'm probably not gonna skip this season's intro ever, because of the emotion, meaning and beauty of it. I also really like the animation style this season, the bright dreamy like filter is gone and it's a little more realistic and prefferable IMO.

;(( this ending was so sad and like the anime already ended for her with this black background ED song ;(((

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

Up until now I've been hoping that for once in a love triangle the girl actually capable of expressing emotions gets the guy. But this episode seems to set up Yukino as the winner. Even disregarding the personalities, I feel Yui should be chosen because of how the narrative was developed earlier. Almost all of the romantic moments up until now were written for Yui x Hachiman, whereas character development focused more on Hachiman & Yukino. And those romantic moments have been the main thing keeping me invested in this series even through the generic school festival episodes.

I get it that the writer perhaps wanted to explore this relationship of two aloof people gradually getting closer. But it's just not going to be satisfying after all the romance with Yui. And it's not just romance. The moment on the bed talking about the jobs they wanted as children was sweet, and the kind of casual conversation we haven't seen between Hachiman and Yukino.

I don't think there are enough episodes left to make Yukino x Hachiman feel like a real romance. Maybe they will start to open up to each other more which will prove how far they've both come, but... meh. If this series is ending the way it seems, I'll probably be wishing that the second season had ended slightly differently, Yui being a bit more direct so that Hachiman would have had to respond, the two getting together and the series ending with that.

Episode 4: Being yui is suffering.

This drama is quite good, even the teacher subplot about leaving was touched. Can't wait for the next episode.

if you want to help, just say and do so. Don't let the words of a stranger affect you to this degree. Why must you reject other people's help just to prove you are so independent that you need nobody in your life and can do everything by yourself? No one person can do everything by themself, certainly not the planning, executing, etc of the whole prom affair. That's why we have people in charge of different roles for. This here is why the series no longer felt as good as the beginnings of it to me; the back and forth of their personal dramas...

I feel bad for Gahama at the end there :(

Well i know Yukino will eventually win, but i still don't understand the logic why Yui is already like giving up at this point.

I mean, it's not like helping somebody in need is the same as being in love with her.
Hachiman put the reason for still helping as "Because I promised to save her". Hachiman loves Yukinoshita.

I gonna cry! Why can´t my girl Yui win this war? She did like everything. She is like the best person you can imagine! She did everything right! And she is gonna lose :/ I love this show and also I hate this show! I can´t anymore!
Hachiman wants something genuine. Yukino is the only other character that isn't superficial. Yuigahama says, "I never wanted anything genuine".

Well it's not like Hachiman ever babysit Yukino so I don't know what makes Hachiman so surprised, in fact if I'm Hachiman, I will question her the reason instead.

Lol, Hachiman's obsession for that coffee brand was so funny. Sadly, the fun part ended there, there had to be some problems with the prom, but I didn't expect Yukino's mother to be there.

Also ouch Shizuka, please don't live. I actually liked Haruno, she tried to help Yukino but their mother just doesn't want the prom to happen so she's trying to throw in dumb reasons to stop it.

Yuiiii, just say something. Why didn't you go with him, I don't get it.

If the promotional video contained footage of students absolutely raw-dogging it in a free-for-all orgy, then yeah the concern from the pto would be justified.

Sensei to Hachiman: I'm not doing SQUAT UNTIL you tell me WHY this is so important to YOU.

Well one reason was made clear, but the other reason is to absolutely destroy the hearts for Yui. She stopped those tears for him, for them.

It just crushes you even more to know Yui's also bearing the guilt of being selfish, and for acknowledging that unlike Yukino, she herself could've never said "no".

And they even hit us with the rolling credits. f*ck.

This is the only anime where I'd be fine with any of the girls winning in the end.

Giving the Yui fans the hope in one episode and utterly destroying it the next...
One way out of this is to just choose Iroha.

lmao at the independence gaslighting though. So yeah, to prove that you're more independent, you just have to go against your mom who is already a powerful and well connected adult and beat her at her own rigged game, all by yourself ofcourse

The scum of the earth, conservative boomers, here to ruin an innocent prom. I feel there is something missing from this episode. Yukino: "They want to cancel prom, but I must solve this myself for the culmination of my character arc that's been building since season 1." *Basically the next fucking scene with no time spent showing Yukino doing anything on her own* Hachiman: "Oh no, Yukino failed and they are cancelling prom. Better go save her like always." ??????

The events of this episode were obvious a mile away, and yet, it's possibly one of the saddest and yet most compelling episodes of anime I've ever seen. No one dies, no calamity happens, just the realization of a woman who knows that she will not experience the rawest human emotion there is. 10/10, would reflect on my life again.
