Do you have any weird or mild medical conditions?

I have something called Mitral Valve Prolapse.

About 2 or 3 years ago, I went for a health check up for some other symptoms I was experiencing at the time, which eventually led to a heart check up. After a couple of appointments with a cardiologist and an echocardiogram, I had another appointment for a heart MRI scan. During the MRI, they injected a blue liquid into my veins, and I had to lie down for about 1 or 2 hours. When the results came in, they told me I had mitral valve prolapse. Thankfully, it's not serious for now, but I have a follow up check up scheduled for 2025 just to make sure it doesn't get worse.

Basically, I wouldn’t have known I had this condition if I hadn’t gone through all those tests. I like telling people about it, and they usually think it's something serious because it has a fancy, long medical name and is heart related.

TLDR: Do you have a weird or mild medical condition? If so, what is it? Or maybe your family members or friends have a rare or interesting condition? How has it affected your life? Is it burdensome, just a minor inconvenience, or totally inconsequential in your day to day life?

I have a mild physical deformity that basically had me grow breasts during puberty. Totally not mercilessly bullied over it in the locker room -_-'

Most of mine was from organophosphate poisoning whilst my mother was still pregnant with me (well, twins actually), i had to be born premature, as me & my mother were dying.
The substance mainly attacked/weakened muscles, so I had problems with my frame. One of my shoulder blades wasn't in-line with the other, and my heart is tilted (Dextrocardia?), i don't breathe properly either. I have a premhead also, as the bones in my skull weren't set yet when I was born, and the nurses kept me on my side, so my head kinda looks like a tic tac.
Finally I have chronic fatigue syndrome, which is as it sounds.
Some things physiotherapy helped fix slightly, but most of my stuff is lifelong conditions.

My Mother, Dad & middle sibling were also exposed to the OP poisoning. My mother got it worst as she worked at the hospital where the sprays happened, my Dad and sis were secondary exposed probably by contact or from Mum's work clothes.
She (my Mum) had 30% permanent lung damage, had her bowels come through her abdominal wall, ballooned in weight rapidly and had chronic asthma.
My Dad had a muscular heart attack when he was pretty young, and both he and my sis had severe mental health breakdowns, which can mimic some of our illness exposures.

Nothing too serious. I have thalassemia (red blood cells can't carry oxygen as well due to a lack of hemoglobin). My mother has it, apparently it's found in a lot of people with Southeast Asian genes. I make sure to have an iron-rich diet, otherwise I'll faint xD It also makes exercises like running a bit difficult since my stamina is quite low. But I'm fine as long as I do it in short bursts.

My left foot is also two shoe sizes bigger than my right lol.

Well, I have eczema and this one thing called like a "TMJ disorder" or something. But that's about it. I also used to have asthma attacks, but not anymore.

I also have egzema! I can't work in jobs that involve touching weird liquids xD (I have it only on fingers and only in some seasons)

Not minor, but major nerve problems around some of my sphincter muscles that is no longer functional, hence the urinary incontience and the tiny bladder's size for my weight today. This also complicates my situation with a couple of minor thyroid and progesterone hormone-related issues for 3-4 years that started around 12. But thankfully I was confined to diapers since I was 14 and I started menstration after the age of 14.

Nothing officially diagnosed but a safe bet on hyperacusiis. It is irritating or painful to hear some range of sound in one specific ear but it isnt an infection.

Mental stuff aside from depression isnt diagnosed officially as far as I am aware but I know there is more to how I am.

Physical:
Carpal tunnel syndrome.
Microfracture in the left hip that hurts after hours of walking or walking on steep terrain.
Cholecystitis (cured) with cholecystectomy.
Onychomadesis on the big toes of unknown causes.
I have had severe Fasciculations (benign) for about ten years, I am predisposed but they were mainly caused by risperidone, by decreasing the drug and then stopping it they almost completely disappeared.
Anemia, B12 and D3 deficiency (because I am a vegetarian and a recluse).
Psychosomatism (irritable colon).
Predisposition to glaucoma and stroke (in my family many relatives died of strokes and some had glaucoma) I should check often but I never do it.
Mild sensory polyneuropathy of the demyelinating type in the upper limbs this is related to fasciculations.
Mild astigmatism and myopia (I should wear glasses but I don't because I do not drive and I spend all my day pretty close to the monitor).
Allergy to persimmons (occasionally slightly to cauliflower).

Mental:
Schizoid disorder (diagnosed).
Alexithymia, Apathy, Anhedonia (not diagnosed)
Sleep paralysis and hypnopompic hallucinations.

I have suffered from epileptic aphasia since my childhood. It is a type of epilepsy that only partially affects the brain, and specifically the language area. A seizure completely disable the language area. It's as if I was never taught to speak or read, and I no longer understand what people say to me. I've been on antiepileptic medication for more than a decade now and everything is under control.

The right side of my body is entirely made up of different muscle insertions that are drastically different to my left side. Apparently I was born with a very weak right arm and doctors had to inject me with some weird steroids or sth to make my right arm functional. I don't even know what it's called, probably a weird syndrome or sth, can't find anything about it online. It didn't used to get in the way at all, until I started going to the gym and realized how different my muscle insertions were, so now I have to work out by doing mainly single-arm exercises to balance my muscles as much as I can.

I'm pretty sure I have pneumomediastinum. Sucks when it causes issues, usually breathing related pains, making it impossible to fully breath in. It's not hard to deal with though, since I can just exhale fully, and try to shift the air bubble away from the lungs. I only found out how to deal with it in 2009 thanks to some kid I met while camping who also has pneumomediastinum, who came up with that solution himself.

@DesuMaiden Exactly this. At most, you can hope for some relief to support you, but the actual healing has to come from inside you.

I was born tongue-tied. Even though I received a frenectomy, there are still some issues like being unable to whistle or stick my tongue out very far.

Another condition I have is auditory processing disorder where my brain doesn't process sounds right. I'll think someone said something completely different from what they actually said. I might mishear "I'll see you at five," as "the pig's on fire." It doesn't help that I also have tinnitus, so I often need subtitles to understand what is going on.

I have an actual yaeba/moe fang. It's a crowded tooth that I've had since I was about 11 or 12, it's only cosmetic and doesn't interfere with eating or brushing my teeth or cause any pain so I kept it.

It's even on the same side of my mouth as pic related example.

Consultants and urologists I've seen with have been useless at diagnosing it (or anything else for that matter), but I'm wagering I have Chronic Urinary Retention, meaning I have weak urine flow and a constant, discomforting tingling sensation in my stomach. It's only weird in that it's an extremely uncommon condition for men in their twenties, at least if they aren't obese or living on poor dietary rituals, neither of which apply to me.

Tried to get help with it when I first noticed symptoms three years ago from the NHS, but they were either preoccupied striking for even higher salaries, losing blood and urine samples, or keeping me on a waiting list for a full year because it was "behind" before promptly losing my patient records too. Tried going private after that, but only ended up spending £300 on an ultrasound scan before the consultant informed me that nothing showed up as abnormal.

Mental: I have gender/body dysphoria. It got so bad to the point where it developed into a lot of other mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and constantly having suicidal thoughts. I'm doing a lot better now though. I still have gender dysphoria, but I got better support groups and a healthier mindset to help me be in a safer place mentally.

Physical: I get dry skin during winter on my hands that can cause them to bleed.

We have genetic diabetes and cancer in the family so I guess I will see if that affects me when I'm older lol
