The official website for the "Oshi no Ko" television anime series revealed a pair of supporting cast, opening theme, key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video for the second season on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 3 at 11:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX and 30 other stations.

Cast
Abiko Samejima: Ayane Sakura (5-toubun no Hanayome)
GOA: Daisuke Ono (Durarara!!)
Toshirou Kindaichi: Tomoyuki Shimura (Shingeki no Kyojin)

The opening theme "Fatale" by GEMN is previewed in the promotional video below.

Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) is returning to direct the second season at Doga Kobo, with assistant director Kuniyasu Nishina (86 episode director). Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai) is handling the series composition and Kanna Hirayama (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is designing the characters. Takurou Iga (Fuuka) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's supernatural drama manga, which began in Young Jump magazine in April 2020. Shueisha published the 14th volume on April 18, with the 15th volume scheduled to go on sale on July 18.

Shueisha began publishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus platform in April 2022. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in July 2022 and released the sixth volume on May 21. The seventh volume will ship on August 20.

Holy shit, this looks even better than the first season. Didn't think that was possible, but here we are.

Can't say the same for the OP. Though, I'm pretty sure that's Tatsuya Kitani, so I have some hope... but the bar has been set very high.

Any OP after "Idol" was cooked from the start because that's such a tough OP to follow up. But man the Tokyo Blade arc was peak so I'm excited for this.

It doesn't look any worse than the first season, but I'm still intrigued by how the events in the manga this year will affect the reception of the anime. Especially the latest chapters.

@thebrentinator24 I hope they at least give the ending theme to YOASOBI. Although I don't remember them ever performing them.

@mshfqtny In that case, I hope they appear with at least ED. As a last resort, return in future seasons if things don’t stall like with Komi.

@IzanaSolos

I heard that voice and thought the same thing! The credited artist is GEMN, but apparently this is a new project featuring Tatsuya Kitani. Good ear!

So I'm the only one here who thinks that this new OP is great?
