This is a clash of egos and ideals.

That Puppetter seems lowkley like a final boss of this arc/story. Naomi and Rouge had their hands full again dealing with these problems. Action was the typical stuff although it seems Rouge got pushed to her limits. Fight felt kinda personal to her.

The underlying message, all the sophisticated sci-fi philosopy is probably too complicated for a one cour anime.

More characters interactions and revelations. The twist this time is somewhat predictable.

Nice to see Rouge and Naomi relationship developed enough trust to reach the point of sacrifice.

P.S: Live chat at Ani One Asia is funny tho, “He turn evil because he got cucked”.

I thought this will be the ending, but apparently we have 13 episodes. So 1 more.

Do all playing cards have meanings? Didn't know that.
Silvia wtf. Was there really a need to kill him?
I wonder what Eden and Jean found, should be interesting.
Props to everyone who predicted that the Puppeteer is Roy.

I think the scene of Naomi running back to Rogue is probably the best animated shot of the show. She’s finally going to do what she wants to do. Nice moment for someone who’s been so driven by orders and a sense of duty.

I actually thought this was the finale, was wondering how tf they were going to wrap everything up as time started winding down in the episode. Tbf even next week is probably going to be a crunch, but we’ll see what BONES have cooked up.

The reveal of Roy as the masked man was probably the least surprising twist ever, but we’ll see how they pay it off in the finale. Still gotta wait and see what Eden and Jean discovered too.

Ngl story has kinda lost me at this point and it doesn’t seem like I’m alone in that regard, but I do love rogue and Naomi and that’s enough to keep me going lol

The Visitors are really playing the act now: victory to the Junoids, the Puppetmaster who has Cyan in his stranglehold, all the plays have assembled.

Both Rouge and Naomi held back by Giallon and escorted to see the real Gene, as well as Eden against Grauphon, with the former winning and giving given the conviction to stop Silvia, she appears before both girls instead, killing Giallon in the process. Silvia still wanting Rouge's id to be the sacrifice for all Neans, it's just twisted at this point, and Naomi can only depend on Rouge to end this conflict...which didn't end quite well, with her id stolen by Silvia, which she is the final defense of activating the nuclear to stop the activation of Code Eve. With Naomi's id lent to Rouge, all the players are once again gathered, though having Roy as the Puppetmaster, it's the least surprising plot twist ever.

1 more episode left...how will they wrap this all up?

I thought this was another fantastic episode. There was a lot of really good animation, both in the action sequences and otherwise. This is an anime with a lot of philosophical and complex ideas. I feel like I need to watch the entire series from start to finish again once the final episode comes out, just to make sure I got everything that was presented. I know this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but it checks all the right boxes for me. I'm still curious what Roy's motivations are, and how everything will tie together for the conclusion.

Overall, some good sakuga and visuals. Feels like its been forever since we've seen Rouge in action, but at this point I have so little investment in the stakes involved. Should've had more action, less characters but more interesting relationships with each other, and a plot that doesn't go a thousand miles per hour. Really curious to see how this wraps up though.

I'm glad that Naomi finally decided to do what she really felt like doing rather than the "logical" choice as Rouge really trusts her. The fights in this episode were fantastic and we had a couple of confirmations, Eden being Gene's dad and Roy being the Puppeteer.

With Naomi having enabled some type of runaway event with the reactor (I think) I wonder how long they all have before that thing explodes or shuts down.

Of course the mask guy was the professor, why do i not see it coming.
It just clicked to me after the detective guy making that face.

This episode was done really well imo, story wise and also the fight scene.
And also Gene actually knew Eden was his father after all.

One more episode left, let's see how they gonna executed the ending.

CGI for the Rouge-Silvia battle but super fluid animation for Naomi running towards Rouge to pick her up in her arms. Odd order of priorities again.

Also, I know there is no yuri in here but Rouge using Naomi's orb feels gay asf.

Looks like I'm the only one who had no clue on the identity of Puppet Master. Or maybe I lost track of the story line and events somewhere while trying to keep up with fragmented episodes lol.

Whatever the case may be, the show's revealing its final act next week. Can't say I am not enjoying Metallic Rouge, but guess I expected a little more from Bones and its 25th anniversary.

Still I won't mind getting another season of Rouge and Naomi since they have a good chemistry.

I feel the same way, and also that the show doesn't really know what it's trying to be. Feels all over the place but that could be a consequence of pacing. Perhaps a 2-cour would have been better.

In this case I did figure it was most likely him, but I'm not one who either typically guesses plot "twists" or reveals, whether minor or major, in advance, or actually actively even tries to. I just rather usually watch passively and see what the show or film I'm watching reveals to me in real time as it unfolds rather than get ahead of myself, try to feverishly speculate, make predictions, and theory-craft. I'm just not that type of viewer. I don't really enjoy doing it and prefer to just let everything wash over me and let myself be surprised whenever possible.

I think that I only surmised it in this case because he seemed like the only named character of any note throughout the length of the series who wasn't already engaged in events onscreen in the past few episodes or shown to be killed onscreen (like Viola, Noid, etc.). So I figured like...I just didn't know who else it could be that would actually makes sense or be a "reveal" as it seemed intended to be set up as? Because "revealing" a character we didn't know and never heard of seemed like it wouldn't really be a reveal.

Anyone who's watched Bladerunner, 1 and 2, can feel the inspiration in this anime. I like very much the topics , but i feel this anime doesn't do a good job telling a good narrative. I seem to not care for any characters.

Bro these past few episodes have been going by so fast it felt like 10 minutes for me while watching this, I can’t believe the puppetmaster was Roy Junghardt I should’ve known but I thought bro died like with Eva yk. I wonder what’s going to happen now that all the cards are pretty much placed on the table now🤯🤔🤔

The animation with Naomi running to rouge was so good why do they keep giving Naomi sakuga moments bro?😭 I’m loving it tho🔥

So we got one more episode left I’m curious how Bones is gonna wrap up this entire story between Neans and Humans the Usurpers (if they’re even relevant to the story💀) the Visitors and Code Eve all in one episode, idk how they’re gonna do it but I’m excited tho🤩

Well ofc the professor was the one under the mask, everything circled back at its first world problem lol.

Fights among them also quite funny as heck. Two men fighting alongside their simpism, but Eden manage to win cause he needs to reconcile first with his human son.

Idk why Aes and Alicia always change side and never consistent. Because they both have two opposite side? Whatever.

And the most interesting part ofc Rouge and her way of battle with weird Sylvia that likes to stabby-stabby stab everything. Needs to defeat first because its necessary for the bait scene with Naomi. At the end of the day, its circled back to the origin cause. Professor and whatever scheme he did back and forth to this episode....

Final might like a good feeling after taking shit. But, i do very much like a Rouge shit.

I feel like I should have known the Puppeteer was Roy but he just acts way more expressive than he did in the flashbacks so it's not an easy a catch as it seems. Fact he's alive suggests he even planned for quite a bit.

I am a bit confused about some things going on since last few episodes really dumped a lot at once and there are all these terms to memorize and having to remember multiple names for some characters.

Short impressive action in the beginning and then the 2nd fight is CG....

With how polluted and smoggy the atmosphere looks, none of Igarashi's signature lighting is on display but atleast the short comedic timing during Rouge's punch resembles his past works.

Rouge dying, Naomi nah gotta follow orders c ya. Atleast she somewhat redeemed herself by the end of the episode, not that it makes me like her more. The moment Rouge lost her id I knew Naomi was gonna give her hers and yeah. Also it was Roy Junghardt after all.

When Naomi was rushing over to Rouge in tears, screaming her name, I was just confused and uncomfortable.

Why does she care about her so much? Enough to give/lend her her own heart?

Am I the only one that's just not buying it? In my head I know that they're supposed to have developed a special bond, but it just doesn't feel like they're that close.

Dying for love, how romantic. I'm sad he's gone though, that guy really lived for his creed and his woman, Sylvia.

Okay so Dr. Roy is still alive, that was less of a surprise than Noir is Jean's dad!

Naomi First giving her heart to Rouge is amazing, now that goes beyond the bonds of friendship.

The episode was actually good, is Giallon still alive? I already knew he wouldn't be taken down by one attack.
I was surprised that Junghardt called Eden his father, but I wonder if it's true. I'll try to find out.
