We will have only 2 straight romcoms, Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai (which among other things seems more aimed at women than men) and Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru (which however has a somewhat ridiculous premise). According to MAL, we should also have the following straight show under the romance tag (4): Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga Dou Medereba Ii?, Unnamed Memory, Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life, Astro note But these are mostly fantasy, they're not really romcoms. And even including them in the count we have 6, they would still be lower than LGBT. In fact, among LGBT anime we will have 16: Lesbians: Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau, Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote, Hibike! Euphonium 3, Yuru Camp△ Season 3, One Room Hiatari Futsuu Tenshi-tsuki., Girls Band Cry Gay: Ateuma Chara no Kuse shite Super Darling Ouji ni Chouai sareteimasu, Tadaima Okaeri, Vampire Dormitory, Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai, Boukyaku Battery, Wind Breaker, Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen, Sentai Daishikkaku Asexuals: Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken 3rd Season Furries: Re:Monster This is the first time that LGBT anime are more than straight anime in a season. They are more than isekai too (We have 8 Isekai including the sequels). What do you think of this new progressive wave hitting the market? |

Yuru Camp? Kuroshitsuji? Slime? Who told you those (and other) were LGBT in the first place?
Are you sure you don't need some help OP?
Are you sure you don't need some help OP?
@Nemo_Niemand The author of Kuroshitsuji has only drawn yaoi in her career so it is easy to assume that Kuroshitsuji was also designed to be yaoi, considering that it has an all-male cast of protagonists and follows the rules of yaoi. Yuru camp even has "yuri" in the name and the cast is all female. For slime, the protagonist himself says that he is asexual in season 1. |

That's a rather... interesting categorization. But if I go by your definition of "LGBT" it already had more shows in Summer '22. Lycoris Recoil, Summertime Render, Shadows House, Yakuza Babysitting, Phantom of the Idol, Yurei Deco, RWBY, Fuuto PI, Shoot! Call of the Night, Rent a Girlfriend, Step-Incest, Engage Kiss, Ayumu, Tokyo Mew Mew 9 Vs. 6 |

It doesn't matter. I wish all the show are gay tho so there'll be more chance for me to get a gf if everyone become gay. |

@Jollyne7 Black Butler is pretty notorious for having some homoerotic undertones, but it's not outright "BL" by any stretch. |

I think you took a very specific timeframe and made a thing out of something that is neither a problem nor a real fact. In general: Most Anime romcoms are straight. That's a fact, for you. And even if they weren't: It's not an issue. |

Hibike with no GL, BL or Romance tag what make you think of LGBT just because the majority of cast is of one gender? Cause it sounds yapping. If a character is x sexual it doesn't mean the anime is related to romance, I can just put every single anime title and check their sexuality and put in counter argument for LGBT forced tagging you've made. Here's all the titles which have Romance in their tags and doesn't have Boys Love or Girls Love in their tags [ONA/OVA/Special excluded if there were any]: Astro Note Date a Live V - How on earth you've missed it? Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei 3rd Season - Another one which is weird you've missed Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga, Dou Medereba Ii? One Room, Hiatari Futsuu, Tenshi-tsuki - It doesn't have any GL or BL in tags. Not only that the MC is male. So you've missplaced it Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf - Literally the Wolf and Spice and you've missed it, were you blindfolded while checking the season chart? Unnamed Memory Vampire Dormitory So we have 11 romance tagged anime with no GL and BL not 6 In addition there is a movie Yumiui Sepodeul Now for the GL: Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote It is 2 titles + movie Oomuro-ke: Dear Friends BL: Tadaima, Okaeri In total: 12 Romance category 3 GL - Lesbian 1 BL - Gay Just because you assume something to be BL/GL doesn't mean it is. |

let me clarify- Yuru Camp is cgdct. One Room Hiatari Futsuu Tenshi-tsuki is a harem with a big fat Heterosexual tag with male protagnist + cgdct. Girls Band Cry it's like saying bocchi the rock is a yuri anime. Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai is a normal seinen anime with politics conflicts. Boukyaku Battery is a normal baseball anime. It's like saying blue lock is a bl sport anime. Kuroshitsuji: Kishuku Gakkou-hen did we really watch the same show? Sentai Daishikkaku. i have read the fucking manga where did you get the idea it's a lgbt series?????? Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken 3rd Season - asexual wow it was just mentioned once and completely irrelevant to the story. Re:Monster never knew furries counted as lgbt. 16-9= 7. Only 7 anime which has something to do with yoai and yuri to some extend not even explicitly. There are 9 isekai this season 1 is reverse isekai. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3 Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken 3rd Season Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Part 2 Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru Re:Monster The New Gate Henjin no Salad Bowl Straight romance - Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf Date A Live V Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei 3rd Season Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai Unnamed Memory Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga, Dou Medereba Ii? Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid 3rd Season Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life One Room, Hiatari Futsuu, Tenshi-tsuki. Astro Note There are 11 anime which deals with straight romance to some extend. So no there are not more yuri, yaoi anime than staright ones. you are delusional. i bet you are one of those when two male or female characters make eye to eye contact and you starts to ship them. Tldr - Only 7 anime which has something to do with yoai and yuri themes to some extend in which many are not even explicit. There are 9 isekai this season 1 is reverse isekai. There are 11 anime which deals with straight romance to some extend. So no there are not more yuri, yaoi anime than staright ones. Mod Edit: Removed baiting. |

This topic is such a bait. The "LGBT anime" they list is mostly just "anime that doesn't even do romance at all, and has a non 50/50 ratio of male/female main characters". Also listing an anime as LGBT because the main character is literally a hecking blob of goo, thus asexual is beyond hilarious. |

It seems that you are a bit all over the place"One Room Hiatari Futsuu Tenshi-tsuki" has a male as the main in it and is tagged as a romance and harem but missing GL. Never let the cover fool you Lol just because there are cute girls on it doesn't mean they will be lesbians Then are we talking about the Japanese term Yuri, or the MALs Girls Love genre? Becuase there is a huge different CGDCT often has what I call Yuri vibes like in Yuru Camp. The girls are cute and they don't talk about boys, because that is not cute. But there's a huge difference between those Yuri vibes anime and anime that centers around lesbians and their love stories Watch a season of Yuru Camp then go and watch Sakura Trick. Both are CGDCT but Sakura Trick has confirmed lesbians and goes beyond the usual vibes or what some people call bait Also to be clear the Japanese term Yuri . doesn't mean the girls have to romance or kiss. That term is also inclusive to anime that portrays a spiritual relationship between females that does NOT need to be romantic in nature. Even if I personally like to separate those two by using the words "Yuri Vibes" and "Yuri" This is a quote from wiki and by my knowledge the most correct definition of what Yuri is and how that term is used in Japan "Yuri (Japanese: 百合, lit. "lily"), also known by the wasei-eigo construction girls' love (ガールズラブ, gāruzu rabu), is a genre of Japanese media focusing on intimate relationships between female characters. While lesbianism is a commonly associated theme, the genre is also inclusive of works depicting emotional and spiritual relationships between women that are not necessarily romantic or sexual in nature" So the MAL genre "Girls Love" is for anime that I would simply call Yuri. Like Sakura Trick, Yagate Kimi ni Naru, Strawberry Panic,or ,Candy Boy By that definition, we have the upcoming anime "Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau" which is definitely a Yuri or GL. and possibly "Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote" but the GL tag might be removed by MAL if it's not strong enough. They have done so in the past with anime like "Hoshikuzu Telepath"and "Urasekai Picnic" Anyhow I really hope the lesbians will kiss,,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES Hopefully, this extremely confusing post will shed some light on the subject Lol |

Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken is a romcom show, featuring mostly asexual characters? There were a lot of funny and lighthearted scenes, but I don't remember any romantic subplots. If there were any, then they were one-sided at most, reduced to gag humor moments, and surely they did not feature clearly asexual characters. |

Eh, couldn't care less. I want good stories, the characters i'm following being LGBT or not is a none factor. The west is pretty shit at using them as actual elements of the story, and often feels forced, but anime doesn't really have this issue. |
