It's confirmed. Kubo's continuing the series in Season 2.

Guess we fell for the assumption that he wasn't going to continue it. lol

I thought it was just a one off to promote the movie, as it started just after the movie was announced

Classic Kubo, haha. Really glad. Hopefully this means that the last chapter of "season 1" isn't super rushed.

Yes those are manwhas and most manwhas come out in several seasons. But season in manga is really uncommon.

Gotta fully agree with this.

Rosario to Vampire has a second season (or at least that's what the title implies). Haven't read it tho.

I sincerely loved it and I am glad that it continues to continue with the story. I hope that "Season 2" really is the manga already in weekly serialization for Shounen Jump

also, I think you can count such manga as Shaman King. Flowers is a direct continuation so I think it can be counted as 2nd season. And Super Star is a direct continuation of Flowers

Season is a period of time when a particular event occurs so basically when you have any SEASONAL anime starting you know it will be either 12 or 24 or whatever episode length it was planned for and then boom it is finished. But then you have a regular weekly anime like One Piece which even creators don't know how long it's going to be. The thing is Shaman King manga was serialized for 6 years, then it was cancelled and finished later so what kind of season is that lmao

I'm really a fan of Kubo Tite's art and world building. I got hyped on the male character Balgo if he's useless or what epic power he will gain later on. I'd definitely love to see more of the story and characters in this series.

Kurumada, thanks to health problems and notoriety, produces his manga by waves too. He just makes a whole bunch of chapters (published at a certain later time) and then switches to another of his manga. (This way, the mangaka gets to make those he likes while giving to his readership the ones they want. Everyone's happy)

Katsura didn't end his Zetman series but simply closed its "first part" (last page literally saying "End of the first part"). Just like Fujisaki with his Kakuryo Monogatari.
(Funny to read Kubo's cover words: "For years I had been dreaming of an existence where I could draw a manga in my own time. Now, I am living it... It's the top of the top.")

Kubo is busy with both the Bleach anime and manga.
Don't expect much until the Thousand Year Blood War doesn't finish.

didn't Bleach end, tho?
well, whatever, 4 chapters don't even count as an introduction tbf, so there's nothing much to be hyped over... It'll come out when it comes out!

The Bleach manga has released a chapter for a new arc in 2021 that's a direct continuation of the main series.
Kubo designed a bunch of new characters for the Bleach anime hinting the possibility of a spin-off Bleach series that takes place in the past with these characters.
Kubo is radio silent so we don't know which of his project will come out when.

@Baya128 I have given up hope, there's no way GRRM is going to release those final 2 books in this lifetime.
