it was OK until the ending then it just got worse. The queen brings some fun comedy and the gags are funny. nerfing power is fine but cutting off that part is just strange. it really just didn't feel needed at all. |

Sad to see Earth's journey come to an end. For certain rushed at the end there. I hope this sets us up for a expedited season two. As otherwise thats not an acceptable closeout. I enjoyed it over the course of its run and looked forward to it. Mostly every week. I hope we get another go in the future as well. |

I really loved this series. One of the most interesting series of this season. They ended it on a great note. I need more of this! I need a sequel! This is one of those series where it can give you wonderful fun vibes. It's on the level of Cooking in Another World, and it's one of the series that made me happy watching it. |

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

I never would've given up the fluffy Pikasha bus. The only things bad about the ring were his inability to take it off and the Queen's ability to pop in on him no matter what. I would want her to block her and keep the skills and Pikasha. |

no tension whatsoever, it's like a show for kids has more stakes and adventure. i get the premise is the useless skills thing but doesn't really evolve from there except his numerous romances with NPCs which gets old FAST. steals a lot from better shows. i feel bad for whoever made it because no one wants their work to suck, especially when it's so upbeat most of the time and happy go lucky but i'm sorry, it just didn't have anything deliver. |

i actually don’t think the ending to this show could have been worse. it was full of rushed and meaningless drama that ends up severely and permanently scarring earth’s relationship with queen and presumably his standing with the game staff. i had properly found some fun in it up to this point, namely thanks to earth’s interactions with his friends, all of whom it seems he either has already or will soon abandon :( if there ends up being a second season i will watch with hopes that earth will get his shit together but i am doubtful 6/10 show, 2/10 ep |

Very forgettable show. Animation mid, ending was trash, and the entire story was extremely bland. Would've been 3/10 but it gets a 4/10 for having the Fairy Queen, the only character I liked. |

The Fairy Queen is fed up and she's gone ahead and put a hefty bounty on Earth.
Emel, the Elder of the Green Dragons, pays a visit to Earth with the intention of having him prepare a meal. Earth, wanting to avoid any involvement with the Dragons, decides to flee. In response, the Fairy Queen issues an arrest warrant for Earth. Displeased with the Queen's tactics and the Dragons' haughty attitude, Earth defiantly breaches the castle walls and confronts Emel, the Green Dragon Elder, in a daring battle.
Wow, talk about an overreaction and being a jerk to the Fairy Queen. Earth, despite being this supposed old man, is acting so damn childish. But hey, those NPCs are getting way too full of themselves. I kinda like that Earth is one of the few who's willing to stand up for themselves. Gotta say, for the standards of this anime, that animation in the dragon vs. Earth fight was surprisingly good. Sure, his reaction and pushing her away sucked, but it sort of makes sense with his whole wanting-to-be-left-alone logic. He's just that type of guy, you know? It might not be likable, but it's part of his character. He's been irritated by the ring and its consequences from the get-go, so why not take the chance to finally distance himself from it?
As for VR/Video Game anime this season, I'd say save yourself the trouble and skip this one. Go watch Shangri-La Frontier or something instead.

@IzanaSolos The fairy queen was threatened into doing that if she didn't the green dragon would've destroyed human and fairy villages. |

The Queen deserves better than this guy. Feels like the author of the series wants to ride the high horse of not needing the loving, fun, but responsible wife, but still having her obsess over him like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. |

Not bad at all - but yeah the entire premise of it being a VRMMO kinda makes the emotions and motivations of the characters irrelevant. It's like all players are RP'ing so hard. And I guess they totally ran out of episodes to expound on the AI Training sub-plot they were having here. |

Overall I think this anime was mid. However, the final episode was awesome. The fact it pissed off a bunch of weebs because he was "mean" to their waifu was the icing on the cake. Earth acted in a perfectly valid manner. He's been polite. He's set boundaries. They've been consistently ignored. This situation is all too familiar for those of us who bend over backwards for people. And just like in real life, the moment you cease being the pushover everyone expects you to be and stand up for youself, you're suddenly the villain or acting unstable. F' That. If you're sitting here thinking "well he didn't have to be rude", chances are you're used to taking advantage of people like Earth. The fact that, in the end, Queens actions that set him off were "coerced" really doesn't matter. Had they not thrown that last little tidbit in, her actions would have been completely in line with her personality and actions up to that point. When it happened, you thought "of course she did", not "what?!". She's a victim of being the "boy who cried wolf". Had she not been a complete tool up to that point, she'd get the benefit of the doubt. Sucks for her, but it is what it is and Earth isn't some villain because of that. But these comment sections are obviously full of people who are essentially real life NPCs who likely have never experienced a woman's attention and are incapable (unwilling) to discern between genuine affection and toxicity. Sure Queen is cute, but her entire personality is trash. The "I'm cute so I can do anything I like and people should find it endearing" trope in anime is gross. Once again, Kudos Earth. |

I was even enjoying the anime to pass the time. But this ending was kind of unfamiliar to Earth. He was rude to the queen, he spoke as if he had no humility. Before I knew the story of the green dragon, I was rooting for him to actually get beaten by the dragon, because I thought he was really stupid with the poor queen. I thought he was immature, at that end. |

@maraviax You conveniently left out where the antics between the Queen and Earth were obviously played out as a repetitive comedic piece, so him going full autistic rage like that was very jarring, especially when he had no problems accepting a bunch of gifts and new skills from her as well. Anyone would have thought that the final act with the wanted posters would have been executed as a comedic piece as well, but the author is such a hack writer, that we're met with a huge tonally deaf final episode, an authors hilariously sad self insert fantasy where they let it be known to some thot, that they won't take this shit standing. No near fourty year old is acting like a clown going through puberty with his embarrassing tirades. |

the dragon fight was epic, and the new outfit he got at the end looks really nice. Gigachad move for turning down the Queen, but I can't help but feel kinda sad about the bittersweet ending... :( Overall, a nice slice-of-life anime that unavoidably becomes an action-adventure at the end XD I wonder if there will be a second season, will be looking forward to it! |

@GakutoDeathGlare I didn't conveniently leave out anything. I'm perfectly aware of the implied dynamic of those antics. The played out "its a joke" trope you're referring to falls well within the "I'm cute so its ok" trope I explicitly called out. That's literally the only thing that makes it work. Anime has been ignoring "no means no" for years. Want to know why its so jarring for you? Because you've gotten used to it being played over and over and over and over and over and the schmuck just takes it because she's cute. You say this was bad writing, but its damned near the most realistic expression of how the real world works that I've seen in anime and I liked the change of pace. What exactly was "autistic" about it? I think you're just using that term as a pejorative, so stop. Then turn on the news. There's nearly an endless stream of "near fourty year olds acting like a clown going through puberty with his embarrassing tirades." in the world these days. Though that hardly comes close to describing what Earth did. You brought up his age, but missed the fact a 40 year old is probably much more likely to not put up with nonsense than most of these 12-16 year old guys who are typically the MC. That's not "putting a thot in her place", its being a functional adult. And whether or not he accepted a bunch of skills and gifts is also irrelevant. News flash, if you give someone gifts or attention, they are not obligated to put up with your BS henceforth forevermore. Heck, people getting stalked often get presents and favors from their stalker that they accept for one reason or another. That doesn't justify the stalking or imply they had it coming one bit. He got linked with her pretty early on. Besides, Queen may be the waifu everyone is simping on in this anime, but she's nothing but an NPC in a video game. Whether or not there's some form of an AI behind it, its still an interactive part of a game. At the end of the day she's not real (nor is there any indication in the show that anyone considers them as such), and he went off on her like he might a receiver in Madden who dropped a wide open pass. |

@maraviax I'm know where you are coming from and even agree with some of your stances, but I certainly did not get caught up in the morality this show may preach, maybe if the tone was consistent throughout?... Personally, it's just a childish failed comedic anime with an unlikeable MC, but if you want to relate to some of his actions, then so be it. What it looks like it boils down to, is that you simply hate the trope enough, that even episode 12's clashing antics sits fine with you. As long as Earth lays down the law. I don't need fucking anime to tell me all about how the world works or how to act around somebody, and I certainly didn't expect or get it from this one. |

hard duel for mc, both cool fairy skills. how dragons treat people ya makes sense he angry. lol that nerf discussion. I find the personality and actions of the MC to be really odd. This is a middle aged, loner single JAPANESE male, and he's out here getting upset that advanced AI waifus that are also cute are giving him attention, man is nuts. Also whats this "I don't want to stand out" thing anyways, it's a video game....who gives a shit if you stand out? I have literally never seen anyone act like this, and I've seen people that literally spend thousands of hours doing side bs in mmorpgs instead of the main activities like pvp and raiding. |

Dude really over reacted there when he blew his top at the queen. Then when he found out she was in the right and was just defending her kingdom, instead of apologizing he went on and cut all ties with her anyways. Was really disappointed in his behavior. Didn't make much sense why he was so against cooking or teaching dragons to cook in the first place. I mean, it was part of his main skills he consciously decided to keep back in episode 8. Literally saying something about "making people happy with delicious food". Anyway, my expectations were a bit different so I couldn't enjoy it as much. In the opening they showed many scenes from real world so I thought there would be a lot more offline content too, but we got none of that. Instead even the video game aspect started to feel less and less like a video game half way through the series and it wasn't explained what was actually happening. Hopefully if there ever is a season 2 they get to what is really going on. |

@maraviax I agree that it's annoying when girls use the I'm a girl excuse to avoid getting called on their BS, but this was hardly an egregious example. If you think this is toxic, you never been with any actually toxic people in a relationship lol. The worst thing she did was to force equipment on him that was not removable. Everything else was basically popping in to say hi, wanting to eat and flirting. It's not like he didn't use the benefits of the arrangement either. No the girls that annoy me are the ones who use being a tsundere to get away with physically abusing someone; especially when if a guy did it, they'd get massive shit for it. But when a woman does it, it's cute/funny. The hijinks Queen gets up to never even remotely rise to that level of assholery. |

what was that?! I somehow enjoyed the a show, despite the ridiculous character design(the what-are-those combat shoes, the silly bow...) and a wet wipe MC who wants to be left alone in a MMOG of all places. Dude just go local server or something. I'm sure there is a solo option... OR... is he a hypocritical bitch that likes being doted upon, but goes tsundere every now and again... or is he just stupid, wandering around and just stumbling into a shit he wants not part of, still doing it anyway, the bitching about it? Just make up your mind. It became glaringly apparent later in the show that the author has no idea what to do with it. There is no conflict to resolve, the corporate AI training arch is so under-baked that it as well might not exist. The character relations are superficial at best and to top it all... the MC just willingly and knowingly throws them all away in the last episode. Its.... unsatisfying. I mean, you can play games however you want, play romances in them however you want. You do you booboo. BUT. Watching a show where a MC has all the initiative, luck, skill, and chooses to selectively not use it at all, and despite the myriad attempts of the game world, gets his way of not doing anything at all, is a bit of a boring show to watch. |

Definitely not the ending we were all hoping for, but still not a bad ending. I mean, the dragon fight was well played, so can't complain at that really. Not a fan of the way Earth nerfed himself though, that's the developers' job, not his... This show has been a fun watch, definitely had potential to be something a bit better but it was still enjoyable. Would absolutely welcome a second season, I think there's a lot they can improve on. Gets a solid 7/10 from me. |

SIGMA MC JUST CAN'T BE STOPPED Throwing the AI queen to the streets LMAO He has one goal and one goal only,to play alone no one is to get on his way,not dragons or wifus. Kinda based ending, really funny on how bad it was LOL. |
