We got some good fashioned archery competition after the warm up from the previous episode. This time, it was tense and everyone is out there trying to prove themselves.

I'm impressed with the soundtrack and overall chereography of this episode as it made every shot look worthy. I really hope every episode can keep this level of momentum tbh. Quite a tense episode.

A bit slow in some ways, even the silly bits are rather subdued, but that's more an advantage than a bad thing tbh. Especially when everything looks this beautiful, I can't with how pretty every single setting, every single moment, every single interaction is - primarily the visuals, but definitely not only those.

What a nice episode.
Plotwise it was full of hinted new dramas for some characters.
Shuu little sister is so adorable. And he really doesn't want to let her down with his most likely upcoming dropping performance.
This season Kyoani is really putting an extra effort on this anime. The animation is hand in hand with good direction. Also the soundtrack ,by one of my favorite composer Masaru Yokoyama, really brings great hype and mood.

For a competition-focused episode, this felt pretty upbeat and relaxing, which is a nice thing to have. =)

Shuu's younger sister is simply precious and adorable. She really looks up to him during their talk at home. It was nice to see her come to the competition and watch and it didn't take long for her to get mesmerized with the beauty of the sport, the different sounds of the arrows leaving the bow and hitting their targets, with KyoAni's visual brilliance making each shot so lovely to look at.

Eventually, Minato did run into Nikaido and while their talk was casual, I do have a feeling that this competition will become more tense. I do look forward to seeing how it will play out.

this episodes was just filled with amazing visuals and nostalgia.

i have to say, although it seems slow, or 'boring' it has a kind of nostalgic appeal, well at least for me (has been waiting for this for years).

can't wait for the next episode! :DDD

I can't get enough of the chereography in this show, it's so good. I legitimately paused many times just to appreciate more the smooth aesthetic. The new archery tournament was very nice, put in the little girl prospective I would be fascinated too. The new rivals showed up, this will be even more interesting hopefully

Wow, the Kyudo Club is heading off to another tournament very quickly, and it's the re-ignition for some rivals of course. We also got introduced to Sae, Shu's younger sister, and she was very excited to watch her brother in the tournament, and also excited to learn about Kyudo a little bit. It was also quite nice to see the mutual respect between schools, and a good gesture by Shu to lend one of his spare arrows to Ryohei, who lost one of his.

At the end, a new foe emerges, Nikaido, another one of Kirisaki's greats, and him and Minato have some history. Yet another nice episode here.

Was Shuu always this cool? Because he's really cool.
And his little sister is pretty cute too.

For a competition-focused episode, it sure ended up being a pretty relaxing one.

I appreciated the emphasis on mutual respect they have for each other, which allows for the episode to be relaxing despite being a competition. And even in the portrayal of their shots. their is a level of tension to it, and coupled with the satisfying sound design, they really sell the atmosphere of the show. They do set up a lot of threads for forthcoming drama with each of the characters, so this feels a lot like the calm before the storm, especially with Minato's encounter with Nikaido at the end.

it has such a beautiful rhythm, it's slow, controlled and poetic, it reflects kyudo in many ways and it's evident that the series it's being made with love, this episode proved it!! the animation, the editing, music, the subtle discourses in the dialogue.

What a fantastic episode!
Now i'm just nervous because if minato goes desperate again seiya is going to lose it, minato get yourself together!

I watch this anime with so much ease and serenity. The characters might be a little underdeveloped, but we're seeing progress with at least Onogi. Nonetheless, it's very enjoyable and even exciting to watch. KyoAni does a phenomenal job of romanticizing the sport and slowly luring the viewer and making them fall in love with it. I wish I had the patience to binge watch this instead of watching weekly.
I sometimes forget to finish my sentences.

Somehow, I'm enjoying this season much more than the first one, I'm happy I gave it a shot (tbh, not much to watch this season otherwise).
Glad to see the work from the first season pay off in subtle ways, like even in the way the guys carry themselves in regular situations... Kyoani are very good at it. Even if Tsurune is not their best work, it's definitely worth a watch.
PS Glad to see a new rival appear! Liked Eisuke's attitude.

i'm getting a Ryouhei/Shu shipping vibe here lol but Minato's former senpai sounds like bad news and so full of himself; he was probably intimidated by Shu and Minato when they were in junior high together and now he just wants to crush the both of them. sheesh!

Oh my gosh, Shu is such a good older brother

The boys are doing great so far. There have been a few misses, but nothing too bad

Hmm, so the new character is older than Minato. He didn’t seem too rude, so I’m interested to learn about him, and his other teammates.
