| Why Is Lihua's servants loves to pick a fight? They didn't even recognize Maomao until she made that face. lol Watching Maomao taste those foods is funny. She's really funny and interesting. I think wait till there's more episode or all 24 episodes are done before I continue to watch this. Waiting every week is a pain. |

| Maomao's pocket warmers may be there, but the weather is still quite cold, as the garden party contravenes in a full audience of the Emperor, the Empress Dowager and the 4 concubines. Other than the rivalry between various consorts' ladies-in-waiting, the concubines of various ages, espeically the Virtuous Consort of daughter 9-year-old Lishu, being a mother-in-law at that age can only be attributed to politics. Of course, Lihua's servants shriek when Maomao tried to approach them, but Maomao has no less than 1 suitor, such as yhe Officer Lihaku who handed hairpins like it was nothing, and even Lihua who gave Maomao her hairpin. As usual, the apothecary does her job, but only this time, everyone waits on her before they can have their tasting, and indeed, she tasted poison, which signified her delicious taste. This caused a commotion as a minister tried it before she does, and as much as Maomao wanted the poisoned soup for herself, Jinshi would not allow her to do so. Jinshi wanting an investigation, though Maomao wanted Lishu instead, which she instantly found that she was allergic to fishes like mackerel. Luckily, Lishu only got hives, though this is equal to poisoning her, and this is not difficult for Maomao to tell her food taster to look out for Lishu's allergies in the future. Secrets upon secrets, only Maomao knows. |

| Can't believe it took me six episodes to realize Maomao has poison fetish. Maomao x Poison best ship, just like Senkuu x Science and Eren x Moving Forward. So bullying saved (kinda) 14yo concubine's life, huh? Also good thing the previous emperor is dead. Would have been awkward seeing him on-screen while knowing he prefers them at elementary school age. |

I personally prefer to compare MaoMao with Dr. House instead of Sherlock Holmes.

I mean House and Holmes are bascially same person, but Holmes does calm down with age and there is lot of adaptations where he isn't unhinged in first place. Maomao who not just isn't troublemaker, but actually go as far as possible avoid it is more similiar to later. |

So it's only the soup that got mixed up? But if that were the case, then why did Lishu get mackerel? Didn't the chefs know about it like Maomao said? Did that also get mixed up? |

@Tenzen12 Oh so it's a bullying thing? I thought her food tester was trying to kill her but it makes sense that she freaked out when she heard it could've killed her if all she wanted to do was give her a rash.

How stupid you have to be to feed your master something you know she can't eat? Even if they thought Lishu was being "picky" and wanted to "give her a lesson". Lishu could have ordered the food taster executed for this...

| Damn idk how to respond the fact that the previous emperor having concubine at that 9 age, and his children took her as his own concubine now. Meanwhile with the current Emperor which the older son of the previous emperor, Ah-Duo was the very first concubine at age 30 of him. But after the arrival of Lishu, she's become the second concubine which makes her as Lishu daughter-in-law? Now i am lost there lmao. That's why idk how to respond with that kind of explanation.... All in all, good to know Maomao expressiveness still doing great, especially to the famous masochist (or perhaps its a sadist one?) face of her from the trailer about the poison is actually here. She's so damn brilliant finding out that fraud food tester unable to understand Lishu allergies. Well she's no kusuriya after all. I have a feeling that Jinshi Anyway, if my speculation is correct, and also if Maomao is indeed gaining popularity by collecting all those hairpins and eventually becomes a concubine... well, that would certainly help their romance develop, wouldn't it? 😍 Now Jinshi just has to make Maomao look at him like she looks at a poisonous bowl of soup, and that's it! 😂 Gosh, I love this MC; she's so unique haha ❤️ |
