| Max has balls. Taking not just on one but two guys at the same time takes a lot of guts. However, it looks like Max did need a little help and he couldn't do this all alone. Gotta say, this episode earned a lot of my respect for Max. He may not be the strongest character in the show but he has a fighting spirit unlike any other. |

| With the three heroes reunited a the battle field, what will occur? Following last episode, Max is on the frontline. Rising to his feet, Max declares that he will take down both Fred and Leo! However, despite his grand declaration, it's clear that his strength is waning, and he falls behind the two. Just as he is about to give up, he hears a voice saying, "Don't give up!" And we go into a flashback of the crew defeating the demon lord, which gives Max the will to keep going and eat the candy supplement that Yuria have him a long time ago. Ngl, I would've thought that Max would be a bit stronger but considering that it's been over ten years since he's picked up that sword, plus counting in that he doesn't really have the physique to go on for so long, it's expected. Though, for someone who hasn't done this whole "hero" work stuff he still has it in him, and he has some guts. praise to him I respect Max more after this episode. Also for a SILVER LINK production they knock out of the park animation wise. With Max coming out as the victor, what will be the solution to this hectic problem him and his comrades have gotten him into? |

| I am speechless. the action, the animation, the comedy, and especially the emotion is just *chef kiss*. I expected a good time and they gave me a masterpiece. give it a nice epilogue next episode and this anime will become a (sadly still underrated) classic |

| Fred is just a prick, no wonder that none of the party is with him. Yuria became a STAND. If Maou really wanted to kill Max, this would be the best moment. |

| Holy shit idk if a different team did this episode or what but I did not expect that level of Sakuga from Max v Leo. That was genuinely awesome. Actually now that I think about it, this is silver link and those camera movements did have Prillya written all over them. Only complaint I have is the screen darkening towards the end of the fight which is a common complaint you see during TV anime in big fight scenes. The emotions, voice acting and choreography were superb and easily the best episode of the series so far. You could really tell the pain in Max’s voice with having to fight two of his closest friends in a situation like this. Had a feeling the candy max keeps in his pocket would come back and be important and it turns out it’s Yuria’s magic buff. So even if she couldn’t be there physically she is helping him, that’s really cool. Even that wasn’t enough though, we still needed a little help from Maou at the end to end the fight which shows just how out of shape Max is lol. I love how even the ghost in Max’s closet is cheering him on 😂 Someone as proud as Max begging on global television for help because he doesn’t know the answers is a big step. Shows you how desperate and lost he is. Can’t wait to see what resolution we get in the final next week. |

| Leo vs. Fred's conflict, adding Max along for the extra, and the heat adds fuel to the fire between the trio, fighting like old times until the last man remains standing. Max being the first to be downed, it's unbecoming of him, for someone who constantly pushes his teammates to never give up. With Yuria's spirit of Maximum Drive aiding Max through the candy, the beatdown of both Fred and Max is a pure sakuga fest. But Fred cannot comprehend how the Hero's party came together, the team of glorious bastards who're all fighting for their own exploits. And with Maou aiding in fending off Fred's attack to Max, he defeated Fred, dragged Leo next to him, and apologized for the entire affair, with an earnest reply to resolve the conflict amicably. Impressive, penultimate episode. |

| This episode was legit freaking great. The action sequence was great and what was even better was the Yuria reveal. She was the mother of that little kid all along and the candy that she gave him was actually a power boost, really neat stuff. I found myself cheering for Max this episode, dude's a really nice guy. |

| So Sara (the kid) really is Yuria's daughter and it was funny how Sara was giving her play by play while she was in labor. On that note, that "candy" was from Yuria and it gave Max a boost that he needed (and also an assist by Maou) to beat both Fred and Leo. Good fight overall but what happens now? Maybe both kingdoms will sign a truce as I doubt they will merge. On a side note I wonder if we'll get any background on the ghost? We saw her cheering on Max and for some reason Fred is terrified of her. |

| Well done Max! That final message was a smart move. Now the society will strongly pressure the government to make peace instead of war. Good to see Yurie played her part too, even though she's fighting her own battle :D |
| The studio didn't have to go this hard yet they did and it was great, that was a fun reveal that the little girl was actually Yuria's daughter, Yuria went home and became a family woman. |
| This episode was really good! Seems like this can follow the trend of Jahy-sama by putting up an amazing, emotional season finale! The battle was really well animated. Usually I don't pay a lot of attention to that and don't care about it like others do, but this time it really contributed to the enjoyment! I also like how Leo was pretty much the strongest of the four becuase he kept up with his training. And the parallels of grown men fighting with their old friends like little kids were on point. I'm looking forward to the final episode of the season! |

| @hannia93 This show has been such a pleasant surprise at every stage. Characters, action, politics, comedy, it's constantly delivering where it has no right to. Shows like this make all the crap I give too much of a chance worth it. |

| I could have lived without this episode. I'm sure it will be the highest ranked though, because all the battle shonen fans "a battle!! Hype!!!" Well it wasn't very good as a battle since you don't know what side anyone is on. It's three people fighting who you don't really want to fight. They're supposed to all be friends. So a battle without purpose, other than to settle personal gripes doesn't really feel exciting. It was hindered by every other scene being of people looking at their phones, and I get the joke already but it's been overplayed now so it didn't really have the same impact. The only thing I cared about was Yulia, and it was just hinted that she was married to that other dude and is having another baby? Huh? I'm sure this is wrong but it didn't make anything clear on where she is now, it was preoccupied with the showing 3 friends beating the tar out of each other. Then it ends with Max apologizing for them and begging for forgiveness.... well okay, but talk about anticlimactic. |
| What an awesome fight! Max begging the audience to figure out a solution sure causes me to empathize with him. I wouldn't know what to do in that situation either. |

| Last episode next week. I definitely preferred the first half of the series more than the 2nd, but it's been a fun ride. I was wondering when we'd see the witch women too. I think I got her confused with the other buff short haired girl at first lol. |

| I'm really surprised how enjoyable and animated this show has been so far it is honestly a gem for the summer 2023 season of anime. I didn't expect this anime to turn out the way it did but I am glad that it was quite enjoyable. |

| this episode WAS AMAZING!!!! i was skeptical about the anime at first when the first episode came out but wow its now possibly becoming one of my favorites!!! also who the frick is the ghost lady in the closet, the entire time I thought it was the white witch lady from Max's past until they revealed she was the girls mom (which that itself was really cool to realize since the candy was unexpectedly the main plot device this episode) But the ghost lady has been in the closet since before Maou started living with Max so I really want to know who she is, also the fact that Fred is apparently horrified by it and is the only one that can sense it. Anyways this episode is my favorite episode of the season and im sure everyone knows why so im giving this a 12/10 |

| Absolutely fantastic episode. Everything was great from the action to the music. I watched it before going to bed and when I woke up I watched it again. The quality of the fight blew me away since this hasn't been an action heavy show. It was epic befitting three legends duking it out and really exciting with truly excellent direction and animation. The "candy" had such a wonderful payoff tying into hints from past episodes, the party backstory, and letting the fourth member be on the battle in spirit to help save her two friends from killing each other. Big action didn't get in the way of laughs. The Blazebringer miss and the "everything hurts" comment cracked me up. Also the closet ghost watching the fight on Max's laptop. I'm resigned to not knowing what the ghost's deal is by the time the show ends. Max's heartfelt apology and plea for help is a wonderful contrast to the last time he probably addressed the public we saw in that YouTube clip from episode 1 where he was so cheesy, fake, and insufferable. It's far from anticlimactic like a poster several replies up said, it represents what the series has been building to and also against any cliche we'd normally see from a hero after winning a big fight. Maou watching on with a smile was the cherry on top. It was maybe a little too obvious Maou was going to save Max but it was still awesome. Speaking of Maou, that shot of his little eye raise and the reflection of Max taking down Fred in his eyes... loved it. Top tier action, heart, and laughs. Going to miss this show! Anyone saying people will only like this for the fight (admittedly pretty bad ass!) hasn't been paying attention at all. |
