| I'm tired of seeing those two shit reviews at the top, they didn't address anything for its face value and they most definitely didn't look at the complexity of the characters or their story from beginning to end, how they truly feel and what made them who they are now, it's also a pain to see them straight up talk shit about the anime without caring about the world views and nature of the show about their ways of life and morals in general, it's not very helpful either that they're calling this made by AI or written by a 5yo *facepalm*, these ppl don't deserve the right to review anime, period. | Some people really think that shitting on something popular will make them cool, be because social media made clout addictive. We recently had this drama with some TikToker trying to smear MAPPA for using AI. Almost every popular and critically acclaimed anime had "negative "top" review, which is horrendously bad. Now add the broken review system, where haters are flocking to one review in order to validate their shit take and you have this mess. | Do people actually read reviews? Everytime I see the top two reviews in any show they're all just hate reviews and the difference in "reactions" between those and the positive ones are huge. Personally I never read or wrote any reviews, I see trailer, I read sypnosis and I watch. If I don't like it I drop and leave my rating, if I enjoy it I watch it and leave my rating. I use the rating/score system only to go in with high low or no expectations. Though, if I really want a review for a particular anime, I'll probably go on YouTube rather than MAL. |

| There seems to be more and more bait and quickly made up reviews for a lot of the more popular and shounen shows these days, I even see some of them boasting about them on specific poster profiles, solely made for the purpose of getting a cheap rise out of someone. Best to ignore and move on. I am in agreement though, these confusing votes which add to the overall tally is seriously stupid. |

| so hilarious how bad and exploitative the new system-rating has become, to the point where I ignore reviews from new shows. Once mfs get the opportunity to create a front-page review, they'll often rush to write the most nonsensical bs, and they'll keep it short as possible since Tiktok fans have the attention span of a toodler.
