Felt it strongly while reading it too back then and then felt the same while watching it now… when Aqua kissed Akane, just because he thought she an indispensable tool, and he needs her going forward. FUCKKKKKKK…. get your hands off the best girl, though I guess we a bit too late. She's already tool-zoned. Wannabe edgelord now even has Akane on his side, and heck he even invited Memcho to come and join B-Komachi. Why these girls… man. yeah sure bro just ignore the whole convo aqua and kana had while they played catch ball are you the dumb type of anime fan who thinks every time someone blushes he/she is falling in love? just put that logic up your ass bruh no ones actually that dumb to believe that. you just want to believe that to bash on the show |

| Didn't like nor care for the story beats much in this buildup episode with Aqua and Akane's relationship here compared to some of the previous couple episodes as expected, but the production still looks and feels top-tier. I'm much more impressed with Doga Kobo than the actual show itself, as while the enjoyment of the story and characters for me is wildly inconsistent to the point where I don't even know how to feel about the anime, the production visually and sonically is as consistent and quality as it can be from the first episode till now. I hope they continue to expand their range and pick up some other character-drama series to animate besides Oshi no Ko soon. |
| Akane has a grat potential as a actor and now that aqua sees that he will use her to accomplish his goals. I believe aqua has surprised everyone with that kiss. |

| Another great episode, as if that is much of a revelation. Although this episode felt almost leisurely compared to the previous ones, it was still pretty compelling and the main cast is rounding out nicely. Poor Kana. |
| That kiss was not expected. Man.. now I feel a little bit sad for Akane after Aqua said that he was just going to use her in his plan. And how did she knew that Ai had children 'cause I don't think so this information of Ai's children spread after her death in the media. |
| Guess it was the reveal at the end of last episode that was the peak shock factor for Akane's Ai imitation. After the impresive cliffhanger reveal we, as viewers, didn't really get to see much of it after the initial few scenes of Aqua and Akane together on the show. Obviously Aqua's blushing was taken as falling for Akane by the others, but it's clearly more than that. That's what made the catch scene so interesting. While Kana hasn't exactly hooked me to the same extent as some of the other characters, she's become a grounded aquaintance who Aqua can be himself around. It brought up some interesting revelations about who Aqua was as a person. We know he only got a few years with Ai and had a limited exposure due to being a child, but learning he knew so little about 'her' over those years was rather sad. Akane also brought out the real chills in Aqua when she explained her research and her assumptions made that were unknowingly bang on the mark. It is unfortunate that he's not likely to play it smoothly with her and has instantly gone to get close to her so he can make use of her talents as quickly as possible. Poor Akane is only going to get hurt in the end. That was a surprising note to end on though. Inviting MEM-chan. Was it a genuine offer out of consideration for her? Or is Aqua making sure he keeps her close considering her unexpected knowledge of B-Komachi and her skills in managing social media? |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| booed out loud when aqua kissed akane. i didn't like arima at first, but i was rooting for her and aqua. still am though, especially since aqua's only doing this to try to use akane to dig up information about ai. i was also kind of hoping aqua was going to tell kana about ai. i guess if he wanted to he probably consult ruby about it first though. but i do think if he really wants to find out everything he'll eventually need to let someone else in on the secret so they can help. |

| Everyone is in shock on how Akane suddenly turned personality. Akane loves Aqua, that's for sure. Kana is fed up with watching and goes outside but Aqua meets her and asks to skip school and do something else, she thought it was gonna be a trip but they ended up throwing baseballs lol. Aqua thinks that he sees the ghost of Ai in Akane. Its the final episode for the love show and Aqua and Akane kiss each other. There's a afterparty and everyone is on their toes for Akane and Aqua to be bf/gf. Yuki & Kumano are dating. Aqua meets with the guy who told him that he will tell him some sourceful info next week. Aqua & Akane stay bf/gf but its work related. I feel bad for Kana. Aqua recruits Mem-Cho. Interesting episode and the animation is always top notch.     |

| The romance aspect damages a bit of my investment with this series back when reading the manga but at the same time, I'm relieved Aqua is using her to keep the story moving-forward, and the manga afterwards, at its worst, can be inconsistent with its storyline despite how entertaining the showbiz aspects are. Next episode fans would be shocked when mem-cho reveals her age. |
| Poor Kana, ended up not being chosen by Aqua and watched him kiss Akane on the finale of the reality show. Looks like Akane and Aqua will pretend to be a couple while Aqua uses Akane to his own benefit. Kind of scummy but Aqua has clearly shown he'll do anything to achieve what he wants. Interesting development at the end with him extending an offer to MEM to join their reformed B Komachi group. And of course, let's not forget that some interesting new information might come to light soon when Aqua gets lunch with the producer. |

| Damm lets be boyfriend and girlfriend but its only to keep up appearances for work. That is so depressing, aren't these kids only 15 or 16. Kids need to be kids and have fun. Aqua seriously needs to start having a bit more fun too. He's dead set on catching Aoi's killer and father. I admire his sense of justice, but he's going to waste his chance of second youth. The grind never stops for Aqua he just recruited another member for Ruby's Idol team. |
| Yeah, Akane channeling the ghost of Ai is a little creepy, especially given how accurate her assumptions of Ai were, but it was fun to witness due to how different it is from her actual personality. I’m also glad she didn’t stay that way permanently, I was a little afraid of that but so far she’s been going back and forth which I’m happy about, and this is also because I like Akane now she normally is lol. And damn Aqua even smooched her up, I know it was for the show but still a sight to see, tho I do feel bad for Kana since she also saw it, of course that had to be after her nice bit with Aqua earlier in the episode to add the extra emotional damage lol. And surprisingly, instead of Akane joining the idol group it looks like it’s gonna be Mem-Cho, definitely looking forward to her meeting Ruby and Kana. |

| First of all, props to YOASOBI for reaching #9 on the Billboard global charts with "Idol", that's quite an achievement! A lot of fantastic drawings this episode for sure. Doga Kobo has not faltered at all in that regard. Akane is quite the actress, as she embodied the spirit of Ai to a tee, and even got Aqua blushing a bit. The reality dating show's filming came to an end as well, and as it usually goes with these types of shows, some couples form, and in this case, Aqua and Akane will be dating for a while, but whether that is more of a business relationship, or a real one, that remains to be seen. Personally, I don't see Aqua falling in love at this point, as his main goal is still to find out more info about Ai, and Akane might be a tool for him to achieve such things. Akane seems like a really smart character who can pick up on social cues quite well, which I did like, and it's quite a useful skill to have in an industry like this. Tough break for Kana though, loved her scenes this episode, especially the baseball scene. Admittedly, I am a bit mixed with the "waifu wars", but I do understand that reality dating shows entail such things, hopefully the show doesn't focus too much on romance though, as I feel there can be more "impactful" routes for this show to take rather than focusing on romance. A very solidly directed episode for sure nonetheless, and I still enjoyed it a lot. I just hope it goes in a direction that feels more impactful, since this arc was quite solid overall. It's just a step away from being excellent in my eyes, hopefully the last three episodes can deliver. |

| Episode 8 is pretty good with more kana and akane with aqua. But to be honest, this episode kind of got all over the place. But overall, it shows aqua darkside even more and a little bit of his feeling which is interesting. Rating : 4/5 stars. |
