| Had a birthday party for my niece last week and her cake had cardboard butterflies on it. Then we somehow got into the topic of eating paper. My nephew's girlfriend said that she ate construction paper, pencils, stuff like that as a child and I agreed. But everyone else looked concerned. I used to bite the antenna of my old cell phones too. Was I just a weird kid? |

| I tried sand and grass a few times in kindergarten, but at home I'd often get scolded for eating pure butter. I wouldn't take huge bites though, I just took little pieces with my fingers. Then later in my childhood fingernails and scabs. |

| For some god-forsaken reason 5 year old me really wanted to eat dirt, like, it looked so tasty. I remember mixing it with water to make mud and then putting it all in my mouth and chewing it. I liked the texture and the kinda "sandy" or "grainy" feeling when I grinded them with my teeth. It tasted bad though. Would do it again. I have tried to eat the red plastic thing protecting the Babybel once before. Chewy but I spit it out cuz plastic. I also always had the immense urge to chew squishy clay. | I grew up and still am Asian. My mom cooked a ton of weird (and good) shit when I was young. Basically anything Asian butcher shops would sell: unidentified sea animals, snails, frogs, offal (tongue, intestine, liver). It was good and I think my digestive system was strong as hell when I was young. I've transitioned to a controlled (and healthy) American diet in the past 10-15 years and I don't deal well with non-cooked or "weird" food anymore. |

| Not that I can remember. I was such a picky eater as a kid that I could hardly be convinced to eat much actual food, let alone non-food items. I was also funny about any food that had touched the counter, table, or floor, and any food that someone else had touched (except in the process of preparing/cooking it). |
