| I know the Persona 4 anime has an OVA based off the Accomplice Ending of Golden. The Golden anime sucks but that is pretty cool that they adapted the alternate bad ending |

| you're overestimating nasu's writing skills, dude just didn't know what to write so he wrote the same story but he focused on other girls to make the VN longer and no girl won in fate if you really want good VNs read muv luv anime shouldn't make different routes, it takes away from its charm |

| Given that all my favorites lose I'd actually like if anime had multiple routes but for multiple routes to exist in anime its source material needs to have the same and it's usually just VNs that have this, manga and LNs typically have only one route. And forget having multiple routes most manga and LNs don't even get a full adaptation. |
| Why separate Endings/Routes focus if you can separate the chronology itself, like Kara no Kyoukai [Fate Universe], I'd wish for more stuff like that when you need a giga brain memory to know what actually happened. |
| Imagine you're watching a series wondering how it all will end, and when you get to episode 12 or 24 you see a pop up window: Choose your ending: 1. MC dies 2. MC loses the girl and walks into the sunset 3. MC gets the girl 4. MC gets all the girls It sort of defeats the purpose of the narrative, in effect normalizing spoilers. You might as well drop the series right there. It may work as an OVA, as in Clannad, for the benefit of crybabies whose favorite girl didn't win. Other people prefer stories to have some sort of suspense, and you cannot have that if all possible endings are equally valid. |

| Fate can kind of get away with doing that though, not everything else can. Who was expecting something like the Shuffle! anime to have multiple endings for each girl? No one, that's who. |
| Doesn't NGE sort of have different endings? Like TV show's last episode, EOE and remake movie series. I would prob watch some show/movie if it was like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, but I imagine it would be really fucking expensive to create. Oh and I wouldn't be against if movies had different theatrical endings. I think it's pretty cool from movies I have seen. |

| imo, having different endings is good option for original sources fans to see their favourite ending adapted however it makes it hard for a new anime watcher on how to start and get into the series. Speaking from the experience of Amagami SS and Yosuga No Sora, seeing different routes are great especially in harem anime where different routes lead to different girl with mc, which would satisfy every girl's fa |
| Amagami SS' distant sequel, Seiren, also used the "separate route" setup. As did PhotoKano and a number of older VN adaptations. like Sentimental Journey and Diamond Daydreams. |
| it's an ok idea but in VNs most girl's routes go on for so long that it'd take at least 3 episodes to do it justice. With today's 12 episode format being the norm I think the time would be better spent just focusing on the main plot. |

| The source would have to contain multiple routes/endings. There's no guarantee that "creating multiple routes" for the sake of doing it would actually be popular. Not only would they be creating non-canon branches to the story, but they'd either have to skip much more story content/commit to a much longer anime that might end up a financial flop. I don't see anime switching to multiple routes/endings unless those types of stories become the new trend for adaptation. |
