Brook catches up to Robin and the two of them are running from Black Maria. The two and it seems that Black Maria’s Illusion Mist had no effect on Brook, just like it had none on Robin in the previous episode. Brook recalls what happened in his illusion.
He was reunited with the Rumbar Pirates and they were all hanging out in a foggy forest playing the classic Binks’ Brew song that Brook loves so much. Brook got onto the piano to play along, and then he recalled his past in regards to the crew along with Laboon. Since this is indeed an illusion, the one disguised as Captain Yorky tries to kill Brook, but Brook is able to avoid the attack. He realized again that his former crewmates are all dead and this is all fake. Brook goes on the attack and defeats the fakes with ease. He finishes off the Captain Yorky ripoff with Soul of Scratches: Blizzard Slice.
Then, like the perv that he is, talks about having the snake women show him their panties instead of an illusion. Brook then thinks about he spent 50 years alone in the mist, thinking back to the good times he shared with his crew, all to see that they’re all gone and he has no one… until Monkey D. Luffy came along!
Black Maria then starts her attack with Wanyudo Sleeve Swing. She spreads fire throughout the castle and it seems that some animal is running on a wheel to give it power. Robin jumps up and uses Spider Net to grab the ceiling to save herself and Brook from the fire. Robin warns Maria that the flames will burn the castle, but that’s for naught as she only cares about defeating the two of them. Brook then goes on the offensive and uses Cold Soul on Maria’s weapon to freeze. Since it’s a living thing, Brook is able to attack it with his soul. As Robin and Brook are falling down, Brook uses Soul Parade: Iceburn to get rid of the fire on the ground. Black Maria then spews some BS about Sanji selling Robin out to save his own. Brook leaves Maria to Robin, while he handles the other trash.
Robin then informs Black Maria that Sanji is worthy of being one of the two arms of the King of the Pirates, Monkey D. Luffy! I’m assuming Zoro would be the other one. Before we get back to the action, we see a new transition for Brook. I knew this was coming as the title of the episode was specific to Brook.
The transition has Brook playing a piano for some kind of big bird (I’m not an animal guy, so I don’t know what kind of bird it is). It’s honestly so fitting of Brook’s musical personality. Getting back into Robin vs. Black Maria, Robin Gigante Fleur and creates a giant version of herself. She lets Maria know this will be over quick. She starts with Sea Serpent Snapdragon. She grabs Maria’s leg and then attacks again. Black Maria counters and realizes that when she attacks the giant, Robin’s real body gets hurt as well. She goes for a poison attack, but Robin is able to see through it. Maria uses Maria-Nette to trap Robin’s Gigante Fleur and we transition to the greatness…
Momo and Shinobu see Onigashima going towards the Flower Capital, but they hear Luffy yelling about meat back at the Tokage Port. Luffy is continuing to eat, LIKE A BADASS, and wants more, LIKE A BADASS. Unfortunately, the Heart Pirates have run out. Momo and Shinobu reunite with Luffy. Shinobu and the Heart Pirates talk about Luffy’s voice. Momo starts explaining the situation to Luffy in terms of what happened to Kikunojo and Kin’emon.
He starts tearing up, but having such badassery, Luffy tells him to stop crying as this isn’t over. Luffy still needs to kick Kaido’s ass. Momo realizes that he needs to stop being such a baby, and immediately stops crying. Some of the Heart Pirates look for more meat for Luffy, and Caribou happens to be around. He decides to help out and gives them more food to feed to the Fifth Emperor.
Luffy comes up with the ultimate 9,000 IQ STRATEGY… HAVING MOMO TURN INTO A DRAGON AND FLYING HIM UP TO ONIGASHIMA! LUFFY HAS SUCH INTELLECT AND BADASSERY THAT IT’S HONESTLY JUST… AN AWE TO SEE!
