OH YEAH BOY! I've been waiting 2+ years for this episode. (First episode I've watched live in so long).

Nobu's evolution to soft Kacchan. It did not disappoint one bit. I can't wait for more. (Daiki also did great, the flux of emotional charge from honestly the whole cast)

Some of the scenes had some of that old Umakoshi magic of the thick outline. I wish we had them outside the intense scene cuts but it still looked so good. Deku's float scene in particular. EXCELLENT.

I wasn't ready for the flashbacks. The tear ducts are flooded. NEXT WEEK HYPE COME AND GET ME.

Also Horikoshi's sketch for tonight's episode, OF COURSE:

**Also the end credit scene connection to volume 29 made me actually emotional so. Kudos for once Bones.

Lol, Deku and his hair this episode...

However, from a character perspective, Bakugo shows that he knows more about Deku than almost anyone from his class. His talk with All Might is also a highlight this episode imo. Say what you want about Deku but he's got balls for fighting Shigaraki in the way he did.

Nice to see Bakugou being a normal friend for once. I was happy to see that. Also, Deku unlocked another quirk which we were waiting and it was pretty nice to see it take such shape. Shigaraki is such a menace. This episode overall was quite intense.

Afro Deku was so hilarious to me. LMAO

no words to describe how amazing the episode was. Gigantomachio is gonna go through so many cities. I can't Imagine the damage. I feel bad for erasers leg but at least he didn't loose his quirk. Endeavor could have managed to inflict a lethal blow if not for those rods.
Another Bakugo development episode. He has a lot of those. Bakugo got a serious injury. Next episode is gonna one of the best of this season.

Easily the best episode of season 6. Half of the credit goes to the composer Yuki Hayashi, nice new variation of "You Say Run" and new soundtracks, every anime this guy composed is fire.
Other half goes to the manga writer that gave such an intense pace, and gave moments to shine for Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, and Endeavor, all of my favorite characters, despite the episode name, I think all of them shine equally.
Studio Bones doesn't get any credit this time because it didn't surpass its limit yet. Maybe all the resource goes to the latest Mob episode which is an instant classic. But it still has much higher quality than average anime.

Oh yea, Bones did this part of the battle justice. Deku is doing so much with zero regard for his body's well-being. It was nice to see him use the 7th user's Float Quirk to help him throw hands with Shiggy, and of course, Endeavor's Prominence Burn was a sight to behold even though it didn't finish the job as planned. Even after being deep fried beyond recognition, Shiggy was still able to launch a counterattack that Bakugo ended up taking. I still remember how everyone went crazy when this happened in the manga a couple years ago.

But man, the music, the emotional weight of the flashbacks, Bakugo's development, the intensity, it was all great. Another banger episode for sure. Also I like how, just like in the manga counterpart, they didn't show the title until the very end. Nice little detail there.

EDIT: After giving this episode a rewatch, I'm gonna walk back my statement that Bones did this part justice. I think on my initial viewing I was more focused on the hype of what this episode was going to adapt, but after a 2nd watch, I noticed more of the glaring issues that this adaptation has faced. A lot of the parts that should have felt impactful just felt.....meh. Bland. I know it's difficult for anime to perfectly capture the feel and intensity of manga art, but man....like that Detroit-Wyoming-St. Louis triple smash should have looked way more intense here. One of the most fire panels from this arc:
and it looked so....average and listless in the episode. I still think the episode was good but it's a shame that this season doesn't seem to be getting the same treatment as the first few seasons. It feels more like slideshow fights without much impact.

Shigaraki: I still have my trump card, the Quirk eraser!
Aizawa: NOT THIS TIME!

HOOO BOY, Aizawa literally cutting his right leg that was plugged with the deleter round, he was certainly ready to sacrifice his life for this. As for the U.A. students, they were barely a foothold against Gigantomachia and the League of Villains, sprinting towards Shigaraki. It's only down to Todoroki, Bakugo and Izuku to hold down the king of evil, whose body is breaking against his limits to hold his implanted Quirk, just like Izuku. But unlike Shigaraki, Izuku's One For All quirks are getting stronger by the moment with Blackwhip.

Without Aizawa's Erasure, Izuku's all on his own to hold Shigaraki down with Blackwhip, with the flashback on his training with Bakugo and the rest...with that afro hair lols. Of course, All Might knows about this, but chooses to let Izuku handle the pressure without telling him, which the hidden truth is what Bakugo realized with a pre-warning in time to come. Despite that, Izuku's never-giving-up spirit which Bakugo chose to take advantage of when he was young, it was defintely a lesson learnt the hard way.

Izuku's 100% One For All smashes against Shigaraki, which the latter is in desperation trying to stop his attacks in mid-air, it's an endurance battle. And Bakugo...literally going beyond his limits to help Endeavor reach Shigaraki...and the immortal just doesn't want to die.

OUTSTANDING episode, truly it's the rise of Bakugo.

This episode was garbage, as an anime-only, I was very hyped for this episode especially after hearing how this is episode was supposed to be one of the best this arc, I was disappointed beyond belief. This episode was the weakest production-wise in s6 and possibly the worst one in the series and will easily fit in Sds s3. Mha s6 episodes had flaws in its character drawing consistency and animation but it also had some very good art and animation, especially during Mirko scenes and the underground fight but man this episode was so hard to watch, the drawings were so bad and even Deku being epic just looked goofy and lame wtf.... looking at the preview next episode doesn't look any better. I was thinking mha s6 will at least be better than mha s5 first half but looks like I'll be wrong...

Going to see a lot of manga readers complaining about this episode and understandably so, they didn't adapt the scene where Bakugo gets stabbed properly. Personally, I didn't have any problems with the scene though it doesn't look as brutal as it did in the manga. I also wish they had given the smashes more sakuga but that's expecting too much from studio bones. Overall, I give this episode an 8/10. Looking forward to what they cook next.

It has been quite a while since I've watched an episode of My Hero Academia that has left me feeling rather speechless. Almost every episode so far in this 6th season has been tense and brutal, but this very episode simply turns up that suffering dial to the max.

The animation quality wasn't perfect (if you let your expectations go too high and unrealistic like that, then that's your own fault, not the studio), but Bones did a very good job in capturing the tension of the fight at this stage. Some of Deku's attacks, as well as Endeavour's Prominence Burn, still looked great and impressive, which added to how tough this fight has become against Shigaraki.

It doesn't change the fact that things are even more dire than before. Gigantomachia defeated the pro heroes with ease and he's on his way to Shigaraki, causing destruction in his wake, leaving Momo's team to wonder if there's any hope in winning this battle. Aizawa surprised me with using a knife to sever part of his foot that was hit by Shigaraki's quirk deleter bullet. Hopefully he'll make a quick and speedy recovery.

Sadly, when it looked like Shigaraki would succumb to defeat, things changed for the worse thanks to All For One. Endeavour took a severe hit first, before Bakugo took one as well to prevent the attack from hitting Deku. What a way to end an episode like that and even altering the ED visuals with Bakugo appearing on it, similar to the change with Himiko and Twice earlier in the season.

Definitely the best episode so far in this 6th season and I highly look forward to seeing what happens next.

I am always talking about the content. I'm always indifferent regarding adaptations, and all that fluff (I find it funny that people with no qualifications whatsoever can have intense opinions about these things). As long as a great story is being told, I'mma enjoy it. With the exception of it being an obviously atrocious adaptation, like that infamous Nanatsu no Taizai one.

Not nearly as good as it should have been, if this was a normal episode i would understand, but it was a really important one.

Bakugou's "sacrifice" was a still frame, wtf? I already lowered my expectations about the fight (which in fact did not turn to be that good animation-wise) but goddamn.

Next episode doesn't look much better either, if they fuck up
in episode 11 then i'm giving up.

This season started so strong, it's a shame.

That's a knock to manga colorists. The Bones/Anime staff makes all the scenes look so washed out with that ugly ass blue sky. I'd kill to have shading, lighting, literally any tonal change to the scenes:

The sad thing is the animation was decent overall with some rly good scenes in this season so far but my main problem was the direction in some epiosdes but man this episode really ruined my hype for the upcoming episodes. I don't want to read the manga as s6 is airing rn maybe later.

One of the best episodes of the anime since season 1.
Boku no hero got worse and worse with each season, it was mostly slice of life filler for the majority of the more recent seasons but then this one came, action filled episodes every week out of nowhere.
I thought about dropping this anime after season 3 but for some reason I kept watching in hopes it would eventually get better and it genuinely did.
I never thought this season would get this good, I'm glad I watched until this point and I hope the anime doesnt go back to its filler state after the end of season 6

I'm already seeing some disappointment for this episode from people on here, and I guess I can't act like I can't see why. For what I thought would be hands down the best episode of the season so far, is probably somewhere in the middle, but considering how consistently good this season has been that means it was still really good. The tension of the situation still felt really palpable, with the music going a long way in almost every scene. Deku vs Shigaraki didn't feel as brutal and desperate as in the manga, but still had some fluid cuts to sell the impact of each punch, and the scream from Shiggy's VA during Prominence Burn was great. Really, the only problem I had was the music used for Bakugo's sacrifice, instead of something emotional they used the beginning of "My Villain Academia" which is a sinister track. Perhaps the director had a different vision in mind for the scene and there wasn't any emotional tracks short enough to fit the ending. But overall, it was still a solid episode and I hope people don't let their insane hype blind them into severely underselling it.

This episode was so hype, I haven't felt this way about this series in years and it was all captured by how high the stakes have risen. Looks like this might be the end of the line for Bakugo while Tomura has more aces up his sleeve. This is thrilling.

I just hope the animation can be a bit more fluid.

No way people think that today's episode was good. You couldn't feel the same impact as in the manga. The actions of Deku were great, but Bones couldn't capture it at all. Animation felt like a a slideshow most of the time where they leave the impact as a still frame. Or show the sky whenever Deku punches Shigaraki. The soundtrack was a banger though, but you could just read the manga at this point. This will go down just the same as the previous season. First half has a decent to good adaptation and the later have will be completely butchered.

Shigaraki vs Deku feels like a kid's friendly fight in the anime.
