Looks like the Black Death becomes the main antagonist of this season lol

Seriously, they've been trying to fight this almost like a story arc now but hey, everything has a solution.

Well it seems enemy forces are using the disease the weaken the country but the thing with these kind of tactics is that they usually backfire since you can't really control it.
If you can prevent the spread they might work but need to knowledge for that not to mention strict control over who goes in and out of the region and that's almost impossible.
Well we will just have to see how things turn out next week.

A good episode but a bit disappointed as...

Charlotte giving facemasks is adorable. lmao
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Great episode! Farma enters the room where the extreme cases of plague are. The man from Salomon's unit is there.
He checks the patient's for plague and it seems only two don't have it.
Casper was called by Farma's father and s thought her resarch funding was being cut off but she had it all wrong.
He has a very important job for her that can save the world!
He wants her to find a certain microorganism Farma told her about and extract a medicinal substance from it.
It seems that she has already cultured it in her lab luckily!
Meanwhile, Farma's efforts have been quite worth it as most of the patient's seem to be in stable condition now. He tells the others not to touch any rats or animals and flies off and sees some more people who have contracted the black death and were ordered by their bosses to carry cargo...
The Holy Knight's may have been trying to spread the disease into the empire to destroy it...
Farma still administers the men medicine despite what they have done.
Charlotte is helping by giving out masks to prevent the spread of diseases.
Pierre found the stain he was told of by Farma indicating of the black death...
And now the knights are attacking!
They released infected squirrels into the capital and spread them with wind magic!
Pierre orders everyone to close up their shops and stay inside!

Looking forward to the next episode!

Holy shit!! The ending of today's episode was some else.

Parallel World Pharmacy is good. It's not as dramatic as I expected but still fun to watch. I really like how the main character uses modern strategy in the fantasy world. Watching him convince scared people is entertaining. It's sad how the cut his brother's arc though. The manga explained more...

L'Estacque continues its epidemic cure with Farma entering the building that houses the most affected patients under Commander Salomon's care. For those that are mildly affected by the Black Death, they're at least safe, but for those that are severely infected, it may be out of Farma's power to invoke a complete recovery.

For the elder that is Professor Casper, doing her years of research on molds and microorganism seems to take a toll on her life, and this is the one time that her work can actually help to save people, summoned by Bruno to request special help on creating medicine to help Farma.

But as is the case, some people are not willing to listen, and force must be taken into account, as is the case of some merchants with deteriorating health that are susceptible to the Black Death. But this is more than just a trace of smuggling, but of a sinister plan to take down the San Fleuve Empire.

Bruno's report certainly sends shivers to the royal palace, and Marseirre could be in danger next. And although Charlotte giving out masks sure looks adorable, the Black Death has reached the walls of the town, and the Holy Knights have finally struck, bringing with them the supposed rodents to strike at the epicenter. Although it's kinda comical seeing squirrels fly across the air that aren't flying squirrels.

It isn't just a mere disease anymore, it's a biohazard attack from the enemy. How will Farma handle this conflict, that's to await for next week's finale.

Biological warfare in an Isekai is crazy. I wonder what the mastermind’s grand plan is. To just rule by fear or just wants to watch the world burn? Farma’s dad knew him from the past and based on his reaction at the end of the episode, had a hunch he was behind everything.

What an amazing episode! Crazy to think they actually got medical advice from actual doctors when making this. Everything was so intense, I wonder if they just want the queen dead? Hopefully they can kill all the flying squirrels before things get worse. Sucks that they basically had everything under control before that. Sad that next week will be the last episode because I've been enjoying this quite a bit. The introduction of microbio made me happy because it was one of my favorite classes I took in college, along with immunology <3

This anime could've been good. But they're using the biggest plague in history and not giving it enough power. If it had scenes like Made in Abyss, it could've had more impact, but it doesn't.
Farma is entirely a lousy character. Why is he so powerful but barely uses his powers? And why does no one seem impacted at all that he's flying around on a magic wand now when he was just a royal pharmaceutist before?

Idk, i know it's not a super long anime but it needed more world building, more development.. I'm unimpressed. Will we even see who this malevolent figure is at the end of each episode? Who knows?

Yeeting a bunch of squirrels as chemical warfare is pretty hilarious though as a tactic

this anime so educated abaout health, for some reason it is very related to life, such as the black plague and PES is a real event that occurred in the world in the year 1347. I really like this anime because the explanation is short but meaningful, not only focusing on isekai but also the education delivered is achieved

How can a casual uniquely themed anime be so intense? These last episodes constantly have me on the edge of my seat, this last one is just making the finale be even more enjoyable than I thought it would over something that didn't seem like it would be as amazing.

Gotta love bioterrorism, out here reminding me of Resident Evil lol, just replace the Black Plague with the T-Virus, but it was funny seeing this cool looking night send cute ass flying squirrels into the city, but those cute critters are also super deadly in this situation. And it’s also revealed the Black Plague is being spread on purpose, which we knew already of course. I also wasn’t ready for Charlotte to be handing out masks lol, I just wish they would have went for more of a fantasy design, just feels kinda odd seeing these characters walking around with modern masks lol. But, next week will be cool for sure, looking forward to seeing the skeleton lad again.

And with one episode left, I’ll say this has been a very interesting and fun show, it wasn’t cutesy and wholesome like Drugstore in Another World from last Summer season but I’ve enjoyed how this one is more serious and leans harder on the plot as opposed to the SoL, although I would have preferred more SoL this is still great lol.

I agree that they could have shown more of how terrible the Black Plague is, the little bits we’ve gotten don’t sell it enough imo, this definitely needed a gruesome scene or two to help that, I’ve really enjoyed what we’ve got but I definitely agree there.

atleast yeeting squirrel is far more effective destroying an empire than just sending someone an envelope filled with anthrax or ricin. probably they already do this before, sending the queen a letter with TBC

While it was expected that he couldn't everyone, Farma did his absolute best to treat the remaining seriously infected patients at the port village. However, the realisation that a convoy was already on its way to the capital meant that he wouldn't make it back in time to fully stop it. At least he was able to get the info from the men that were left behind, who were treated and then arrested.

At the capital, it was nice to see Bruno help Professor Casper, whose research into microorganisms kept being looked down upon by others, and her keen eye was put to good use right from the get go. Later on, along with a little mention to the adorable and precious Charlotte, who was working hard in giving out face masks to the guests arriving for the fair, the cargo containing the plaque breached the beefed-up gate and was unleashed upon by one of the holy knights. Looks like the showdown against Camus(?) will be in the capital, as well as trying to find and kill all of the escaped white squirrels.

Although there could've been a bit more focus on showing the nasty effects of the Black Plaque, I do like how Farma and the others are doing their best with the biological warfare they're dealing with, along with the psycho who is hell bent on trying to destroy the city. I look forward to the final episode and how it'll wrap things up. =)

Based on the comments it looks like the anime left a lot of details from the manga which most likely means there won't be a season 2, oh well. It looks like the finale will have a showdown with that Camus guy. I just hope it's wrapped up by the next episode and I'll consider reading the manga down the road.

Well, this ep was quite nonsensical, to be honest, they attack the city and all they are doing is asking why are they doing this... hmmm well never mind. Like they straight up went and launched an attack and the guards are nowhere to be found even tho it is the gate that is supposedly more guarded than normal.

In a way this episode reflects 2020 pandemic well. Covid was a major enemy for Earth even now.
Not to mention, the stupid merchants perfectly reflects real life stupid people that "don't believe in Covid' or think "masks are useless." If those idiots won't be executed, I hope they get eternal harsh labor in the coal mines.

stupid merchants - "We had people die because they couldn't handle the journey" = real life stupid people "People are dying because they are too weak to handle a simple flu. Vaccines are useless BTW, anti-vaccine people seem to live just fine without vaccines."

My hypothesis is that the guy with the dark aura is the heretic that had a brief appearance in a previous episode in Farma's father's dream. Seeing as he's unhinged, there are several different possibilities for whats happened and Id be fine with it. However, he is not the type of person I can see people working with and I cant see anyone helping him bring disease into a country at the risk of their own life.

Thats why I said the anime better make up a good reason cause honestly this whole black plague arcs pissed me off. Been watching expecting a wholesome slice of life anime where Farma goes around healing people and being informative about it. Instead we get characters that are shallow af in character development and a lot of drama thats not necessary.

And here it is, the moment I was waiting for, the woke moment & situation, it took long enough for it to appear.

I actually thought that we were not going to have a clear woke moment/situation in this anime, after all we are at the very end of the season.

Yeah, I'm talking about Dr. Casper here, of course in such a backwater world we have a female doc that casually as laying around for "years" what was needed for the plot to move along.

And of course she was misunderstood & mistreated by her male colleagues, LMAO, in such a primitive world setting she would have been lucky to have been a wet nurse.

I just can't anymore.
