| World Trigger. Trion is a very specific power, but it also leaves a lot of room for creativity during battles. JoJo is great too and it would have been my other choice, but it's a bit easier when you can do whatever you want with stands. |

I dunno, just my opinion lol |

| out of this list i chose hero academia. I like that most of the cast only has 1 power or ability set and really have to figure out the best way to use it vs enemies who usually have similar limitations. Makes for dynamic and creative fights. It's one of the same things that made X-men interesting, before there were a gazillion characters with infinite powers. A lot of the other anime listed I like, but the power systems are sorta nonsense. Like stuff based on non-descript power levels is just random as hell and the person with the higher numbers wins regardless of skill or technique. Stuff like HxH and JoJos can have interesting conflicts with the different powers, but they can also end up convoluted. |

| The Power system in Naruto starts off okay, but it quickly divulges into nonsensical territory. In the first arc where they are defending the bridge builder and they have to use sheath and intelligence, but in the end of the chunin exams they're just summoning monsters and stuff at will, (I haven't seen much past that, but I feel that this video captures my feelings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMKml4lefOc&t=1s) I feel that a lot of Shonen anime start off with consistent power systems, but due to the nature of story telling the show divulges into a cycle of constant power ups to the point it gets ridiculous, with DBZ being the most obvious example but a lot others being guilty as well. Personally I feel that Avatar: The Last Airbender had the best power system as it was consistent and actually had an integral part to play in the world building (just as long as you ignore the last episode and the sequel) In terms of anime I feel that the Toaru series do a pretty good job, as since Touma doesn't have any special powers himself, there is no need for the constant power ups that plague so many action anime. |

| My vote is other. I picked other because I wanna bring up Fate. I think it has a very unique power system considering it takes place in a holy grail war. There is a master and a servant. Depending on masters, they can range from mages to skillful assassins. They provide mana replenishment to their servants. Each servant has a class type (archer, saber, lancer, caster, assassin, rider, berserker, etc). These servants are also called heroic spirits. With each servant, offers a wide range of abilities and noble phantasms. Of course there are also exceptions. This comes with rare mage craft and massive amounts of mana. We call those reality marbles. A reality marble allows the user to deploy their inner reality into a world. It's basically like representing their soul as a location that is unique to the user. For instance, Now if you wanna take it to the extreme, there are also noble phantasms that can can destroy a reality marble. But yeah, in short, Fate has a very diverse power system that is unique to each heroic spirit. |

| Once upon a time i would have picked HxH, but the existence of Specialists completely destroy the hard rules which exist to ground that power system. It functions, mostly, as a hard magic system but then has this get out of jail free card to a soft magic system whenever the author wants, through Specialists. It's a very convenient way to write yourself out of literally any problem or to facilitate any normally not possible drama. Makes me feel like all the hard work it did for the hard rules was just a cover for what you thought was a unique system, when really it falls to the exact same pitfalls with every other magic system. With that said, i'll go with MHA. Because at least there is full integration into the being of a character, rather than just a regular person having interesting abilities. It seems to have not only shaped character's personality, through some sort of pseudo-determinism, but their visual expression of who they are. For example, how their bodies change and how they dress, and even function in society. I think that is core to MHA marrying a character driven narrative with a world building narrative, and does it very well. |

| HxH: Fantastic. It can be like "Tf is that?", but every ability belongs to a certain category. Bleach: It bothers me that everyone is a swordsman. Shikai and Bankai are still cool tho. Dragon Ball: It's fitting for Dragon Ball and only Dragon Ball. I don't think any other series could pull this type of power system off. Naruto: It's cool and versetile, but every character uses the same 2-3 jutsus, altough they could learn/use much more. Naruto has only 2 jutsus. That always bothered me. One Piece: Love it. Devil Fruits and Haki are just great. Jojo: Random abilities, but they are really unique which makes it entertaining to watch. Black Clover: Haven't seen much of BC, but I'm not a fan of the Magic system. Way too basic. Fariy Tail: It's better than some people give it credit for. it's kinda basic, but not as basic as BC's. JJk: I don't understand it. Apart from Gojo everyones abilities feel underwhelming (so far) |
