Such an awesome episode, how Chisato wins rock paper scissors and make Takina do all the housework is really funny, and she finally took back her victory at the end, also how did the villain not die from that rocket launcher? |

Secret333 said: This is, without competition, the absolute worst episode of this show so far. So much plot armour. Everyone makes stupid decisions. Injuries and deaths that should happen just...don't. And personal responsibility takes a backseat because the culprit is a little girl. Let's just jump in, shall we? You know, for someone who cares about people's lives that she doesn't want to kill even her enemies, Chisato really shows a concerningly low amount of care after hearing that 4 girls got killed. I find it funny that Majima is appearently such a man with honor that he wouldn't unmask the hacker that he's threatening. Why? Who knows! Majima appearently lost 26 men while aiming for the 4 Lycorises, and of course the Lycorises and the DA are so incompitent that they couldn't capture a single one of them to interrogate them and find out where Majima is or even just his name. Chisato and Takina can no longer "sense" the drone that's following them after being able to do that in episodes 1&2, why? Who knows! 2 thugs break into Chisato's "safe house", meaning enemies have found her place, and she...let's them go? like..not even have them be arrested by the police? At this point the show is telling me that she thinks herself so invincible that she just doesn't care. And appearently this happens often. Is it even a safe house if it's attacked multiple times already? LilyBell is appearently a boys version of the Lycorises. Do I wanna learn about them? given how terrible the worldbuilding in this show is, no thank you. Gotta love that the footage that hacker boi captured of Chisato just shows her face for a split second. It doesn't really show anything about her skills or power. But Majima's like "Yeah I'm convinced lol" Thanks to Kurumi hacking the DA, the terrorists got their hands on guns that they used to destroy a train station, burying a bunch of Lycorises, and then 4 more lost their lives because their faces became known. WTF. You have made Kurumi partialy responsible for all of that, but at the end of episode it's fine because Takina forgives her for getting her fired from DA. I'm sorry but that is the LEAST of her crimes right now. But we can't have the show getting too dark so we won't acknowledge the amount of responsibility this little kid has on her shoulders. Fuck off. And the main action scene for the episode starts. God help me.. A speeding car, which is probably slower than a bullet, heads towards Chisato. No problem, she can jump up or to the sides in time right? nope. She gets hit. Why? Who knows! Majima's gang approarch a Lycoris after they've run her over. Surely they're doing so while aiming their guns at her, even shooting her, like we saw them do last episode right? Nope.they don't do that. Plot armour is a useful thing, isn't it? Chisato is fine! I can only assume she dodged the car somehow. Even though we hear her getting hit, and she's lying on the ground, and Majima and his men act like they did hit her. But fuck it, I'm scraping the fucking barrel here looking for any excuse to get the show to make the slightest bit of sense so I'll headcannon that she dodged then played dead on the ground instead of running away because fuck it. Flash grenade? that's some weak shit. All Chisato needs is her coat to distract everyone and shoot them while they stand there like morons. Why? Who knows! Chisato hits everyone except the guy in the middle. Why? well, we established that Chisato's aim isn't that good because of the bullets she uses. But...she hits everyone else....WHO KNOWS! Chisato's aim isn't good, but when she hits, she gets a fucking headshot, on a guy moving in a car. Because why not? I don't care if the bullet is rubber. That shit made the guy bleed so much his entire face is covered in blood, and then rolled around falling from a speeding vehicle. He should be out for at least a few minutes, right? No, because disabling injuries, concussions, intracranial bleeding, and broken bones don't exist in this world. So he's fine. Chisato approaches Majima, his entire gang is nowhere to be found in this moment. Also, great fucking job Chisato. Standing within arm's reach of the guy when you have a GUN. See, Lycoris Recoil is ahead of the times. I've seen goons in other shows make this mistake to give the protagonists an opportunity, but this show made the highly trained, best Lycoris ever make that mistake. At least everyone is a moron in this show. Remember when the Lycoris in episode 3 (forgot her name) tried to reach for Chisato's gun, and Chisato handeled her so well, then told her "you're dead two times already"? It's fine. Consistent character's power level? What the hell is even that? Majima can now spit large amounts of blood from his mouth. Even though his mouth wasn't hit. Did he land on his jaw rolling from that car? it has to be so broken that he shouldn't be able to talk. Again, instead of killing Chisato, everyone stands around her while Majima is just punching her around. Plot armour is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Remember Chisato's prowess in hand-to-hand combat that she showed in episode 2 before she threw a guy with one arm? And what she did in ep 2 that I mentioned above? None of that is here because we need to generate some tension. I guess his blood is so sticky that she can't just wipe it off her face for a moment. Makes you wonder how he's able to see considering his eyes were shown to be covered a lot more than hers. And Takina shows up just in time to save Chisato...by shooting the gun from Majima's hand...Instead of...ya know...shooting him in the head? maybe his hand itself, if you don't wanna kill him? Look! someone actually bothered to use a suppressor in this show after episode 1! holy shit! Something I can praise the show for! Of course the two guys beside Majima get hit but he doesn't. Plot armour is a very wonderful thing, isn't it? The rocket launcher guy misses thanks to Kurumi, and instead hits the car Majima is getting into, causing an explosion that surely kills him. Right? nah he just gets blown away into water. Not like that explosion would've killed him in so many ways before he even lands in the water but oh well. Plot armour is a magnificently wonderful thing indeed. Of course all of this running over people with cars, gunshots and explosion happen at a park at night where nobody's around to hear anything. Never mind the fact that these noises would've reached the people in the city. oh well. And that's it for the action scene. 10/10 solid sction as always, Lycoris Recoil. Like mentioned before, Kurumi is forgiven for inconveniencing Takina. Therefore she's also forgiven for TERRORISTS getting large amount of GUNS that they used to KILL PEOPLE. And no, her not knowing that that would happen doesn't absolve her of her crimes. She hacked into the DA ffs. Can you imagine someone hacking into the CIA? It's a major crime and multiple deaths have occured as a consequence of this crime. Mika is tending to Chisato's injuries. What kind of injuries she would have after getting run-over, and punched multiple times in the face, you might ask? a small bruise on her arm. it's fine. don't think about it. just enjoy the action scenes. (you can see some bandages around her chest when she's in the clinic, but her face is still sparkly clean) At this point I wonder, if they ever kill Chisato like so many people are afraid, I'd call it a plot hole because her plot armour is fucking bonkers. Weirdlly enough, same can be said for Majima. There are now 6 times in which he should've died but somehow, some-fucking-how he's still alive and kicking. By all means, if I missed something that makes this episode better writing wise please tell me. I'll gladly accept any explanation right now. Sir, this is a Wendy's. |

Rock paper scissors with Chisato is too much of a risk, xD. Takina might've just used up all her luck there in the end. Credits to Mizuki-san and Sensei for the little advice. On the action side, we got a glimmer of possibly what's to come later on in the story. Looks like, for one, Chisato relies too much on her eyes, and honestly it's hard to refute her reply to Takina's comment, lol. Don't think they've covered it all yet though, I feel like there'll be one more decisive weakness. Kurumi being the unintended mastermind behind all this was not that too surprising, just a parcel of being a hacker imo. Takina took it really well though, she's definitely maturing up at quite a rate here. By the way, Chisato's reaction to the stayover was too good to not replay... Still addicted to the ED. |

The cuteness of the girls keeps increasing while the stupidity of the plot armor is also going up just as much. At this rate, my heart will start bleeding over Takina's cuteness while my brain will start rotten after watching whatever fight scene that we are gonna have. |

Actually I feel like Takina should be glad she got fired, cuz then she would never have moved into the cafe that is a better place than DA imo |

Roch2001 said: Gunslinger Girls successor. Its been a long time from Gunslinger to finding a new show which carries its spirit and reminds me of the past. And the jury is still out on my final show vote, but I'm loving it so far! IMO this show definitely does not capture Gunslinger Girls' spirit, just its premise. GSG is very clear in both the manga and the anime that the SWA is a horrifically cruel organization and the act of turning children into weapons is nightmarish and dystopian. Like, there is no world where how Henrietta goes out is one where the actions of the SWA are viewed positively. GSG was a strong pushback to shows and manga *like* Lycoris Recoil, which were very popular at the time GSG released. This show really doesn't even stop to take a look at its premise and doesn't come off as self aware in the slightest. As for this episode, ehh. I'm tired of the jokerman character already, and the whole "I mUsT cReAtE bAlAnCe" is so dumb and such a vapid ideology because for whatever reason they're unable to write a compelling villain lest they run into the Korra Problem. |

Even though the plot is just slowly moving forward. It's the character interaction that makes the show enjoyable to watch. Chisato's VA is just so talented and she makes her character so lively and it's such a great fit together with Takina. The current villian is your pretty normal dude but his personality makes up for it. |

Omg you should be an anime critic, I'd read every single review |

Chisato sure has her priorities right *gets assaulted, hit by a car, shot at*...."they took my poncho!!". Also, even she is aware her eyes are her weakness, why is she not doing anything about that? (idk, get some googles or smth) Takina's win reaction was super cute. |

Good episode overall, some SoL mixed in with some action. Kurumi had a bigger role in this episode and we find that she hacked the DA previously that ended up costing Takina being removed from DA HQ (it worked out for the better since she got to meet Chisato though). Speaking of Chisato, she was so cute in her little pigtails! Crazy how Mashima survived that rocket attack, I thought he was dead for a minute there. Wonder why he was so fascinated with Chisato's Alan Institute pendant, guessing he has or had a connection with them. I'm thinking we'll get some backstory on Mashima in the future and maybe more information on how Alan Institue ties in with him and Chisato too. |

You know that feeling when all things have gone and passed, and our characters get their breathing room in the end, the moment you hear the ED start to play in the background, you're finally getting hyped again and sing the song as a bonus. Yessir Chisato is in heat now from Majima and his goonies, DA can't really offer her too much protection since she's not in DA, and umm they have their own mess to take care of. Takina getting murdered in rock paper scissors is funny, she basically is a maid in Chisato's safehouse. And I don't think it's a surprise to me that Walnut caused the whole rampage that we're having now. But this is probably the first time that Chisato is down bad considerably, Majima got her in the "balance". Yet no worries our gang came in for the save, and somehow after all that mess and them defeated, Majima still wants to keep Robota alive. Lastly, Takina getting the W and her squeaking seals the deal. That's the end of another good episode. Oh and one last thing to mention, jeez that collection of classic action movies that Chisato has is envious, most of those films are childhood (especially Con Air the best action film of all time haha). |

Takina: We’re in danger, someone’s trying to kill us. We need to stick together. Chisato: Slumber Lol I love her! No wonder she wanted to play Rock Paper Scissors to decide the chores. Poor Takina lol. Well, at least she learned how Chisato was doing it. I love how the safe house is like a trap for these goons. Chisato even tossed them right out into the trash. Fitting because that’s what those weak ass scrubs were! Robot dude will never be Kurumi! That’s why he’s having such a hard time tracing DA. I shoulda known the one that hacked DA was Kurumi. She indirectly led to all this mess with the terrorists in the first place! I thought Chisato would be in a real bind for a second when Majima found her, but the only thing she lost was her poncho lol. She took out those goons pretty quick, but man if she only used live rounds... good thing Takina does. Really saved her ass there. Kurumi with that drone though! Eat shit Majima. Ha! Well, at least everyone ended up safe for now. Looks like Chisato’s on chores for awhile though haha. Score one for Takina. |

Yeah, this gets complicated. They found out about the Lycoris and Chisato and Takina were together for a while. The hacker showed the guy about Chisato and he's already interested in her, and it seems he knows something about the Alan Institute. Kurumi had hacked the DA and that's why Takina was taken out, but she forgave him. Well, let's see what will happen. Good chapter. PS: Takina's final scene <3!!! |

Lycoris is one of those rare instances where I watch the OP not for the music, but for the visuals; particularly for the montage of all their stylish outfits. The ED though, I definitely watch for the music. I thought after watching today's Engage Kiss's episode (it went hard, courtesy of the nun chick) that this would be one instance where it would edge out Lycoris Recoil for once, but nah they are both just as good this time around. It's just filled with so much character imo (or maybe it's just Chisato's personality overflowing onto everyone else), and it always makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside in its own way. I love this shit, but some things just can't be ignored. This dude here just spitting straight fax Secret333 said: This is, without competition, the absolute worst episode of this show so far. And no, her not knowing that that would happen doesn't absolve her of her crimes. She hacked into the DA ffs. Can you imagine someone hacking into the CIA? It's a major crime and multiple deaths have occured as a consequence of this crime. <--- yeah but did you see how she took a bite out of that watermelon slice? So cute. I bolded the ones that I caught onto and had an issue with myself Let's just do a quick fix of most of this and say that Mr. Majima-san here is superhuman and Chisato was drunk today |

The sequence featuring Mizuki reckless driving and a grenade launcher was very clumsy, probably the only visible flaw of the episode. Majima is annoying as fuck and robo hacker is just a coward, they don't feel as dangerous as they should be going against the goxernment covered secret service. Takina's faces after being trapped inside weeks of home slavery and in the very end after beating Chisato in her signature game were priceless. |

In terms of facial expressions, Takina wins with absolute ease. The face she pulled when she suffered defeat after defeat against Chisato at Rock Paper Scissors had me laughing out loud, but I couldn't help but smile at her insanely cute and squeaky pop-off after she finally won against Chisato with a new aggressive approach at the game. ^_^ Kurumi's role in this episode was pretty big. Aside from her cute moments with the watermelon, it was thanks to her hacking DA which led Takina to where she is now, but it did give an open invitation for the enemies to go after them. She did well to redeem herself by guiding the other to where Chisato was when the table were turned on her after Majima found her weakness by blinding her vision with his blood before slugging her. Takina was there to save Chisato and Kurumi guaranteed the escape for the group by ramming her last remaining drone into the guy with the rocket launcher, sending it into Majima's way. How he survived that blast, who knows, although he did take an interest in the pendant that Chisato had. Maybe it's not too far fetched to say that he has some artificial limbs or organs himself? It makes me wonder if he has ties with the Alan Institute in some way or not... Anyways, this was a rather exciting episode, with funny scenes mixed with some intense action. =) |

I love with this series how every ep has really fun slice of life elements, then some intense fun battle and also manages to continue on with the main plot/mystery - can’t find a script tighter than this one! |

It's already the 6th episode and there is still no intense story YET. Just CGDCT. Which is, in my opinion, a little bit disappointing considering this show has a potential. And how does a man survived a point-blank rocket-propelled grenade explosion. I mean, COME ON. Takina at the end is really cute btw. |
go outside and actually farm plants. |

Nah, I'm not ready for them to do Chisato dirty. This week episode we get to see Chisato weakness, her eyes, and if you can get the head start on her (rock paper scissors game). |

You lost me when you said manga. I dont read manga. If you dont like it dont watch it. PraxisCat said: Roch2001 said: Gunslinger Girls successor. |

MrAIpaca said: the green haired cringe lord didnt die from being blasted with rocket launcher. the only 'characters' dying in this story are not even side-characters but rather decoration-characters. the show holds back too hard, it feels like a story for little kidsNow we find the weakness of Chisato. I’m really afraid that some of the characters might die in next few episodes. |

another episode that wastes time on nonsense just to make an obvious reveal that chisato one was the one originally responsible for the episode 1 incident and a detail about a more interesting plot of child soldier murder factories, That seems like something that should have come up before this point, and yet, will not be relevant in any way ever again because we have wasted time on these two playing lesbians. While the action became completely mindless at this point with chisato being immortal able to withstand attacks from gunshots explosions and nukes. |
