Can anyone tell me why Grisha told Zeke to stop Eren?
Doesn't that contradict his position that Marley is evil?

seems like he was able to see Eren mass genocide plans with his attack titan. doesn't really contradict his view of Marleyn because Eren is going far more than just Marleyn

Oh lord its not over yet....I completely forgot about the flashback Marley trip. That was actually a nice thing to see.

Did they cut out the part where Eren was crying with another child? Or was that later on.....

Oh wow a flashback for the last episode of the season. The opening is titled 'Rumbling' but sure there is less rumbling throughout the whole season than flashbacks. This final season has been slow from the start, filled mostly with talks and explanations, and they blue-balled the viewers by giving anticlimactic ending almost every episode.

7/10 at best. Oh, and part 3 is coming out next year? Then this series can finally end? Thank god.

Yeah they chose to finish the show as slowly as they're allowed to. And these fans will still say 'be grateful' and lick their boots and whatnot. Really when a show is this slow people are allowed to call it out.

yes it's a big bullet or a bomb but the animation of the colossal titan looks very small in the water while the explosive power of the large bullet of the ship is almost the size of the colossal body the manga doesn't have that scene, why does mappa have to bother making that scene if it ends up being ugly
Because they have no choice for to do it ?

The montage at the end was really interesting. The Rumbling isn't just a stampede of colossal titans. It is the culmination of everything Eren worked for: all the rage, the sacrifices and the frustation on his journey were for this very moment.

This part in the manga has always been one of the most painful ones to read. The transition between joy that turns to absolute nightmare...

Seeing the survey corps members enjoying their expedition outside of Paradis island was a joy, seeing them act like kids and be fascinated by everything moved me, not to mention the voice acting in the anime which gives the scene that much more realism into it. Ohh how lovely and peaceful it is to see this all, seeing Mikasa blushes as she spends her time with Eren and ultimately, seeing all the survey corps members just partying hard all night long with foreigners of a similar tragedy. However, the night of smiles and laughter are nothing but glimpses of memories from a bygone year. The harsh reality of the present day is nothing akin to the rainbows and sunshine of the distant past... The only rays of sunshine visible are the heat haze from the colossal titans and the flames of destruction that sprout forth beneath their rumbling feet, the only rainbows are deeply saturated with the colours of red as oceans of blood left their marks beneath the soil that once held civilization on its cradle. The rumbling is coming for you no matter who you are, as long as you're outside of Paradis islands, you're subject to being crushed, body and soul.

This has been a terrifyingly perfect season finale for this season. We see the rumbling come to life and its effects on the world outside. Essentially this entire season has been all about the rumbling being started. The rest that comes afterwards is the battle against Eren. Mappa did a great job at adapting this season as did the previous one, however it has yet to change my mind regarding Wit Studio's marvellous adaptations from the seasons before. They're simply superior in most ways. ALTHOUGH, the changing of the studio rather acts as an indirect symbolic statement of how times have changed, it's not more just a shonen type of story where a boy seeks vengeance on the titans who've slain his loved ones, the premise is the same, but the same boy is using those titans to now eradicate the population of the world. Times have changed and goals have shifted, the one thing that remains the same is the desire to attain freedom, eternal.

Also, correct me if I am wrong. So Eren is the dad of Historia's child? I'm afraid to google it coz I might see some spoilers since I hadnt read the manga.

This is literally the last we see of that entire thing, the series never goes back to it. So there are no spoilers to be found there. However it is highly unlikely, because of things that are not directly related but do affect the possibility of it. Mainly:

One other thing to add is that anime actually cut some content that quite heavily hinting towards him being the father. Namely her lying about her due date

And a panel with a hoodied person when she goes to the Farmer

Indicating that even if there ever was an intention to make him the father. It is most probably has been reconsidered.

Probably my favourite episode from these 12 episodes. Especially the last few minutes.
But despite how wholesome yet mysterious (and intense at the last few minutes) this episode was I’m losing hope with AOT.

This season was the worst one yet with the unlogical motivations of 90% of the characters, plot holes and lack of enjoyment in general. Typically, when I watch AOT, I feel thrilled but this part has gotten just so dull no matter how much deaths and fighting they added throughout the story something just doesnt sit right with me.

Also apparently our characters that teamed up with the Marleyans are very forgiving after they’ve slaughtered pretty much 90% of their squads and dear friends.

Like hello? Levi my guy, didn’t Petra get killed off by Annie in whatever the fuck season that was. You’re just gonna forgive her that easily?

The transitions throughout the story from the past to present felt somewhat choppy? Lacking? I don’t know how to exactly describe it.

Of course, there are still some relevant positives such as the OST and the OP and ED which definitely grew on me. I’ve gotten used to the animation and character designs so I’m not going to complain over how bad it is.

Overall, AOT Final Season Pt2 definitely lost key pieces that are what made me invest into this anime in the first place. While it isn’t straight up hot garbage, it’s still quite flawed with some enjoyable moments here and there.

But we’ll see how they manage to carry AOT in the 3rd part of this never ending so called Final Season. I heard the Manga was a catastrophe but hopefully Mappa will get their shit together and figure something out.

Damn I really miss the first 3 seasons.

Also just to make this clear to everyone who is going to disagree with me, this is just MY OPINION. Please do not get offended. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this season/part of AOT.

I apologize for any grammatical or spelling errors, I am still not really great or fluent at English.

This show would be so good if the author wasn't trying to push the anti-genocide agenda to the point where the characters who are supposed to hate the opposition to their core end up bonding together to stop Eren.

Anyway, 5/10 for this season. What a shame that the quality of this show has gone down the drain ever since the time skip happened

You are on the right track ,don't have to overthink ,

What eren is doing is Justice and reasonable

Eren was build up to be the greatest villian in history of TV nd so far he is doing an excellent job

If he becomes a good guy after this than the entire point of his character will be useless

It's nice to have some slightly happier times but that clown was so randomly creepy.

I've been waiting to see some more Eren pov stuff so his flashbacks were a relief to see. Looks like one of the real reasons for the rumbling was because he got family zoned by his adopted sister. RIP.

I'm looking forward to the final part. Even though I already know how it's going to end.

how I had to force myself to watch this season... actually first 10 minutes of episode 12 was the best part of this... This anime is just bad.. simple... and with wasted potential... all the secrets that made this anime good have been thrown into the dump, burried and forgotten to simply continue some "trying to be something new anime"... giving us some unimaginable cosmic explanations that look like invented quickly due to lack of time and ideas... hell anime Freezing had better story :D
95% of characters are unlikable...
the fights are ok but also stupid... for example that general had to suicide to destroy that docked ship, while both Reiner and Annie could just stand/jump on it during the fight as they were one step away from them and destroy it so killing Magath and that other baldie (Pixis? or Shadis? I don't even care) was so cringeworthy... the author just didn't have a plan what to do with this story and he did whatever as he was forced to by publishers...

EDIT: after rewatching before hopefully last season I noticed that the characters also had retarded smiles.. grinning like stupid, and when they were drinking, they even gave alcohol to kids! wtf?!

Finally got around watching this season, and I'm so impressed by Mappa. Lots of improvements from the previous season and they really elevated the manga with this season. The parts covered in this season are some of my most favorite in the series overall, so I'm glad it was done justice.

I'm hoping all of the old Wit people come back even if it's for a few frames to finish off the rest of the show just like how all the main characters are teaming up to stop Eren.

A fantastic season and adaptation that really nailed this part of the manga. It’s a 10/10 for me easy. Let me say that I am relieved that it ended here because I don’t think I’m ready for the storm that will come online if the original ending is adapted 1:1, so I am glad we can all just appreciate the story up to this point where imo it’s been phenomenal.

Now, we have the last part of the story with the announcement of part 3, I have to speculate because ending of the manga is… less than ideal, but the anime could help remedy it.

If they do a 10 episode season, which seems to be what will happen, they’ll have a shit ton of run time to work with with only 9 chapters left. I see it going two ways:

1) The original ending, but expanded: This option wouldn’t necessarily be the worst thing. If they stretch out and explain some of the themes and motivations in the
In addition, having a bigger epilogue would also be nice and rather than just the flashes we see in the original. Also if we could figure out what the hell happened to
. I would be satisfied with it, even though it wouldn’t exactly be my ideal.

2. We get an anime original ending. One that actually gives a proper conclusion to Eren’s
The solution is simple:
That’s big thing most people I think are upset about. Also maybe
But this isn’t the biggest priority. That’s all you have to do really. Yes, you could go the route of
While that would be interesting, I just don’t think that’s the type of ending Isayama would want to leave us.

My second proposed ending at least keeps the built up ideals and goals the same until the end while preserving the rest of the ending. However I think option 1 is the most likely thing to happen and that wouldn’t be the end of the world. Anything would be better than a 1:1 recreation of the original ending.
I haven't seen you around here in ages man

But in regards to this, I still hope that we get the desired AoE ending....I just don't think that this is a story that can end the way the manga did....There's too much bad for that to be the actual ending

the final episode of the second part of the final season is here and wow flashbacks.... anyways um i loved the representation of the refugees being brown skinned people similar to middle eastern people and the refugee crisis we face in our world, it's a sad truth but the fact that Attack On Titan didn't shy away from showcasing that crisis speaks volumes about the creator and how he stands with refugees what a legend and has my respect. um Eren looks ugly in that whatever titan form he's in lmao. i don't know what to say really other than yay Mikasa has emotions. i'll just wait for the next part to come.

WHAT A GREAT EPISODE AND WHAT A HORRENDOUS CLIFFHANGER MY DUDES WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO MEEEEE

it was a fairly sweet beginning though! probably the last time any of them have had fun and been happy :( poor kids :(( them enjoying ice cream and getting drunk before eren leaves to plan global destruction.. but levi in a suit oh yes oh yes

but of course, all of that was tinged with the awful knowledge of what is to come and the hindsight of what they had been through and what their fellow people on the other side of the sea go through as well.

and it was great to see more of eren, to see the gaps being filled in. weird how much eren trusted floch though (or maybe "used floch" is more appropriate), but i suppose it's because he thought anyone he was actually close to would oppose his plan, and maybe he didn't want any of them to have to go through all the struggles that would come with carrying out his plan, considering his main aim was for them to happy... didn't think that through fully huh eren? they don't look too happy now my dude!

eren's founding titan form is a bit weird to me, overly skeletal - how does he manage to move and balance himself when he is literally just bones?? also my dude needs a haircut

the parallels between the first ep with the walls breaking and this!! how all the lines of defense broke (walls vs cannons), how people looked up in fear, how the attack was with the titan's feet like bertholdt kicking the wall down. love it love those parallels! and it's just such a reminder of what a 180 this show and this story has taken, i literally cannot get over how different it is to the start. it's kind of amazing how it (mostly) seems to make sense and has a (somewhat) logical progression of events. pretty cool

and now part 3!! can't wait!! very excited!!
