| The current art style looks more similar to the manga. I do prefer the previous art style but can't complain cuz something is better than nothing. The art style change is due to a studio change and not time. But gotta say, they look 3yrs younger this season |

| I'll be honest, Im super disappointed. I actually just rewatched S1 a month ago in anticipation of S2, and this art is awful. Maou and Emilia particularly look like entirely different characters. People say "Oh, at least you get S2", but Im honestly one of those people that would prefer to never get S2 as opposed to something that is so drastically different |

| Its kind of more well drawn overall but the new stylization makes the faces look kind of bland and expressionless. Also Chiho's eyes sometimes drift REALLY far apart. Its not that bad, but its kind of not good either, looking at the old one still is somehow more pleasant and aesthetically pleasing despite some scenes being pretty darn lazy. I mean they clearly put some at least semi decent budget and effort into this, why not keep the old style or something similar? |

Changing the studio doesn't always mean a change in the art/characters design, for example: Mahoutsukai no Yome, Gintama, Nagatoro-san ... While the art can sometimes be changed by the same studio/staff as happened with Haikyuu!. |

| I think a lot of it has to do with nostalgia. People prefer something they're nostalgic for and resist change. |

| lol. I didn't know we had 'stop disliking what I like" topics here. personally I don't care. the new art looks worse, but it doesn't take away from an otherwise mediocre show. it's a fact that it's less detailed and way softer than before. people have the right to dislike it. |

| I mean dont you think the art should have been better now since the first season was made 9 YEARS AGO? Technology and everything has evolved, maybe not much but it did. The art is definitely not on par with the first season, neither it is on the same level as other animes coming out this year. Their eyes are weird and the mouth shape.. Its just funny lol. |

| I think that people tend to forget that art in anime simply changes over time. It was always like that. Myself, I love changes. |
| People make it out to be the worst thing to ever exist but it ain't that bad, it just lost some certain impact here and there but regardless I still enjoy that what the series has to offer. |
| I love how people start to realize how goated White Fox really are. They actually took the risk and changed the artstyle into something that people like more than the original. |
| i mean i dont get it. you do realise these anime make money right? it isn't like they're doing this for charity. and we're paying to the streaming services that in turn pay them... there is nothing wrong about looking for better animation. the technology has gotten better over the past couple of years and i would assume that the work force has gotten larger too. but they just keep on generalising every single style until everything just looks the same. like from the last couple of seasons. the girl from realist hero looked like the girl from otomege sekai who looked like the girl from 90 different fantasy manga. it cant be a coincidence that the two highly awaited anime season's art [classroom of the elite and this] has the same complaint. |

I literally watched Season 1 for the first time yesterday and watched new episode just now, I didn't feel any need to complain about anything related to animation. I might not know much about animation but it wasn't bad at all, it felt normal like a normal anime, I did notice that the art-style is different but it's not bad. People just want a chance to complain bruh. You got a anime after waiting for like a decade so just stfu and enjoy it or just drop it, stop wasting your breath on hating on the art-style, if you don't like it go make your own sequel. New animation is actually better. Tell me which picture looks better.  or Keep in mind one of them is from BD. |

Tell me which picture looks better. orKeep in mind one of them is from BD. you can't judge anime based on 3 second great background illustration bc it would makes 99% anime great. go compare emilia vs maou fight from 1st episode. the difference really massive in there. also most of the times only character mouth are moving, and the body movement are looped. which is sign of low to okay-ish animation quality. the only improvement from S1 is the fanservice on ending and boobies physics. |
| How ironic. Imagine crying over some opinions over opinions. The fact that some people are saying "Oh, at least you get S2" is one of those lamest excuse that the new art is garbage. |
