nah, you need to see it from their perspective too, mate.
If you live in western (Europe or North America), their genre & theme basically is nothing special. Just spy action movies turned to series and added with some wholesome child & family perspective (which is quite unique but not so unique).
But if you consider that the author is Japanese and he create it in manga first, not novel, you will understand how they praise it so much. Japanese media have so little reference to western buildings & city atmosphere, so the author that could almost perfectly capture every buildings, cars, interior, furniture, arstyle, etc to get that is crazy. You could see how bad they are at it by seeing every isekai anime and their 90% identical city...they are so clueless about it that they wont even bother to improve and only depends all their uniqueness on story.
You could see it in spread page of the manga. That crazy detail like pulling us to the 1950-1960s Germany even though we never go there. For European that see it everyday or at least in their local tv, this atmosphere is nothing. But for us manga readers this is quite magical. Just see how unique their manga cover compared to others, so simplistic and retro-modern, only showing 1 or 2 characters compared to the usual jumble-fumble main character poster action scenes (just see Naruto manga cover). The high quality of the setting is also the main reason which can differentiate the good story with boring story...this actually happen with Gochiusa which basically the usual slice of life loli anime, but because they take the setting in Netherland-like village (and they are so good at capturing it) they can get 3 seasons & 2 OVA. While Comic Girls with more actual relevance, goals, & interaction of the almost identical loli girls who create manga have only 1 season.
The problem with anime is they cant spend too much time showing us this much details, so this magic is rather reduced, but once again...they depends to the story to save it.
Thats why i understand if some people hype it, because the effort to create is outstanding. We are eager to wait for the results of adaptation. But because the anime still depends on story to capture the quality & atmosphere, they need to consider pacing & arc climax. So to get the same effect on reading the manga, you need to at least get to the heavy-action & emotional scene...maybe later in adaptation of chapter 10-20s (the Dog arc).
