And the discussions with his buddy don't really add to te comedy itself, but rather to confirm to the viewer, what loid's current objective is. Despite the fact that we technically already know said objective from the decryption scenes. |

When I see Loid deciphering his messages my nerdy brain thinks: "woah, this is kinda cool!" , but when he discusses the mission with his friend my brain goes: "why did we bother with the decryption if we can just dicuss the mission openly anyways?" I know it's a really small detail, that isn't important at all. But I just really like the deciphering scenes. |

Maybe the Explainy bits aren't there to reaffirm the mission to the audience, but rather to establish frankie as an ally. |
