| Heh, fun episode. It actually got the guys outside of their usual playing fields to hang out together more. Haru is also a genuinely caring person, helping out the elderly. |

| A game against a heavyweight National team like Adalbert for newbies like Koyo, clearly Haru is just trying to use enthusiasm to tide over the loss. Taiga officially joins the Koyo team, and it marks a fresh new start for the team...if Sakaki an get over his one-man team ego. Captain Tsukioka clearly knows this, and having him be play-caller to spur others forward is a risk, especially to amend the already straining relationship between him and Haru. For Nagamo to think of a cohesion for the team by going to the arcade and using games like Taiko no Tatsujin as a base for synchronization, I feel like that's ingenious. Obviously, this didn't fare well for Sakaki, and it'll take a long time to get him lined up with the rest of the team. Haru bumping into his idol Tokinari Tennoji and Captain Ao Asahina of the Okazan team, but the fact that he specifically requested for a match with him just feels so amateurish. Haru is at best a mouthpiece, but skills clearly is a bit of a family dilemma, and Tokinari made it clear of the difference between him and Haru. At least this was a somewhat decent episode, certainly one of the better ones but not by a long futsal-kick shot. Prefer the drama than anything else. |

| Sasaki could’ve at least handed Haru’s phone properly and not toss it and exposing it to the rain. Also, he is disappointed with Haru? I get not liking Haru’s attitude and his inexperience in the sport, but the man just got obliterated and humiliated by his idol. He could’ve at least talked things out properly. What an asshole. |

Futsal Boys!!!!! is a part of the Japanese multimedia franchise of the same name, collaborated by Bandai Namco Arts, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and Diomedéa. The anime was set to premiere in 2021, but was delayed to 2022 due to quality concerns regarding its partner smartphone game. So... this is part of a franchise. Good to know, would not have had any idea if I'd not read this (and tbh only now got around to it). And... it was already delayed once due to quality concerns. ... I've never really been one to go on about quality, if anything, most of the time I see people nitpick about it I don't even get what the issues are. Here though? Holy anime gods, this unfortunate series really feels in dire need of a bigger budget. Or if it has enough of a budget, just better illustrators/animators/artists/whatevers. It hasn't been the greatest so far either, but to me this episode just really took the cake in all the wrong ways. There's some nice (if generic) characters and premise there, but it all gives off such a lifeless and rushed vibe, it hurts to watch, and that's just... sad. Worse still when the few closeups actually serve as contrast themselves to all the rest of it. Yikes. |

| Just realized that we are almost at the halfway point, but it feels like the story has hardly progressed at all. So Haru has a deadbeat dad who didn't try to teach him Futsal at all? Wonder if we'll get more on that, cos right now dad comes off as an asshole. Sasaki is also a jerk. How much longer are they gonna drag out him not wanting to be a team player. Can't really blame Haru at the end there, dude just got humiliated by his idol and reminded of how his dad treated him. I don't expect him to actually quit playing though. Despite how below average this anime is, I guess I'll stick with it till the end. Already dropped two other anime this season |

| lol i want to like this anime sicne it's easy to watch, don't even need to write anything to discuss it with my friends or take screenshots... but damn, i'm getting bored of some stuff for sure ... i mean wtf was this episode... a random noob challenging the best guy in japan and he just accepted (i guess cause he knew his father) but the result should be obvious lol sakaki being a fucktard as usual... who even throws a phone like that? not to mention "i'm disappointed" means nothing coming from the guy who always telling him he is an amateur and should stop playing lmao the part where they were playing with the car, is it that hard to say "go right" instead of both trying to go in a random direction? i guess sakaki doesn't want to talk, but i'm sure haru is the opposite oh whatever ... i'll probably keep watching but seriously... i guess i was expecting better, but should have known it was gonna be whatever after the 1st episode ... i can't forget that dumb part where haru just came flying and crashing with his byke and then got up, said ouch, and then went to play futsal like nothing happened ... and ofc those random super shots they do :D |

And to be honest, I don't even understand what Sasaki wants from Haru because all the time Haru said Sasaki was an amazing player or talked about how much he loved futsal, Saski reacted negatively. And now that Haru said he should have never played futsal in the first place, he also reacted negatively. Makes absolutely no sense. Sasaki is not just an asshole but disgustingly egocentric too. Even in this situation when Haru was visibly hurt he completely ignored his feelings and immediately put his own feelings in focus, like his disappointment meant anything, he doesn't even know Haru... Don't even get me started on Tokinari. He was so rude for no reason... Dude that's how you treat your fans? Wow... |

| Wow, a proper showcase of Taiko no Tatsujin and Time Crisis in an anime. It's almost like this show and those games were produced by the same company righttttt (and totally not another ad in this gacha ad) Honestly that's a really dumb way to promote teamwork, and Haru's idol instantly recognizing him as his father's son is even more idiotic |
