| Didn't expect Ponzu to die already, especially since she just barely escaped before. Looks like the focus will be on Kite, Gon and Killua in this arc. Makes me wonder why they introduced these friends of Kite in the first place if they will be irrelevant anyway lol |

| Are you freaking kidding me? Ponzu is taken out by a grunt with a gun? Pokkle is also dismantled like its nothing? The power scaling in this show is utterly nonsensical at times. Are Hunter ranks supposed to mean anything? Is Nen supposed to mean anything? These creatures are so powerful that they don't even need Nen to keep up? I can appreciate the brutality leading to higher tension but this show can be so loose and esoteric with power in this show that it's infuriating. Also, The only good bug is a dead bug. |

| Damn what a dark episode, Ponzu's death really shows that HxH isn't a show that is playing around and saving characters at every possible moment, death can occur just anytime and it is the final result So sad that she died such an unfortunate death |
| The direction on that flashback was very well done. And, there I was hoping that Ponzu would live and will meet Gon and Killua again... T_T. Nah, man I'm very sad about her death. I hope that bastard dies a horrible death. |

| Aaand the characters from the hunter exam are gone. That's great. Thanks Hunter x Hunter, very cool. :))) Man, sometimes this show is quicker with killing its characters than Katanagatari. It's just kind of a shame... |

| Nah they did Ponzu dirty. That was a bit over the top and it feels unnecessary. Fodder ant killed a potentially good (female) side character. Gyro's backstory was very good. The creepiness and suspense this arc is creating is wonderful and to the point but this unnecessary kill wont go unnoticed by me. |

| Chimera ant arc is definitely up there, not overhyped at all you can feel the difference right from the start ants are terrifying |
| Interesting direction showcasing Gyro's past and his story though I don't know if he'll have a bigger role to play. Ponzu's death was insanely brutal, not to mention Pokkle still being alive it seems. It's only a matter of time before these Chimera Ants are going to learn and be able to use Nen the same way Hunters can which is a frightening idea. |

| I knew Ponzu must die and her role as a messenger will be like "the bee carries the will and message of the dead owner". But I didn't expect the death to be this brutal. There're a lot of deaths and terrible ways to die for sure, but Ponzu's one truly made me feel thrilled and sad. It's weird as Ponzu doesn't play an important part in the story. I guess Togashi is really good at portray horror, that the audience will even get triggered and emotional when a chimera ant kills a side character. |
| This anime has really become different and very dark, while the chimeras are rapidly growing both mentally and physically |
