| Yaoi is easily the worst genre in anime. Then comes "Yuri" second worst genre in anime. Oh i forgot to mention shonen ai, which is one of the trashy genre. |

| For me it is yaoi. Why? Both boys are almost always bishoujo which I do not care for. I am no attracted to dudes. Nothing I like about it tbh. 2nd worst is yuri though. Other than that school. | My interest in shonen or shoujo ai is next to non-existent so probably those. The only series I like that has any remote elements of it was Banana Fish and that's still a stretch. |

| I am open to all genres, I don't care from what it is. Every genre has its bad ones and good ones. Notice how some people mention yaoi and haven't even watched a considerable amount of yaoi and call it the worst. You can't judge the entire genre when you have just watched 1 or 2 from the particular genre. |

| Harem and ecchi, all these harem and ecchi series do is objectify, dumb and infantilize women, or at least thats what they are called in those anime but for me every so called "girl" that appears in harem or ecchi are not part of the female gender, but animated sex robots created specifically for the sexual desires of perverted boys |
| Obviously - Yaoi - Yuri Ignoring these, my ranking of the most likeable is 1. Haremn - Ends up in a Mess, fking always. 2. Ecchi - Can be accepted somehow, as long they don't try to focus everything on this. 3. Music - Shows like "Your Lie in April" cant back this up, since it was mostly drama based. Only few people liked it for the Piano part. And that's the problem. They can somehow entertain, but end up empty. 4. Mecha - laser beams go brrrrrm brmmm, almost no Plot. |

| Harem and ecchi. The the female love interests are always shallow and stereotypical, the male lead typically has as much personality as a wooden plank, and there's often way too much there's fanservice. |

| Yaoi or Yuri are wierd most of the times except for some good ones like "Bloom into You" or "Given". Harem and Ecchi is also pretty bad except for some. Horror is pretty much non existent in anime and almost all animes with Horror tags are just Thriller animes but other than that I'd say Mecha, since most of them end up being a messy story and introduces too many elements (especially political ones) and in the end make the anime a boring mess. I don't like Eva but I do get the appeal of it but I do really like Gurren Lagann. |

| There is no best or worst genre. This is an equivalent to asking people what they think is the worst condiment. But based on my personal opinion alone, my least favourite would be isekai. I'm sick of them. |

Shonen specifically is also by definition a genre according to the oxford dictionary of language. And due to how brought it's democratic is described the term is essentially worthless to actually describe demographics. | Appart from the obvious yaoi and yuri, i would say : Horror. I often find it boring and poorly executed when it's one of the first two genres of a show. Watching episodes disparately also doesn't help getting in the ambiance of the anime. I think the movie format suits that genre way better. |
