Character development is just knowing more about a character (including how they change). A character becoming more evil or unlikeable is still character development. The only thing I can think of that would be "reverse character development" would be a character becoming less complex over time, like in bad sequels where the characters are reduced to surface level imitations of the originals. |

| There is no such thing as "opposite of character development", because any change in character's personality is an actual development. But, if you are talking about a character turning from good person into villain, then: - Ordinary Person/Swindler from Akudama Drive starts like a random person, who just was in the wrong place in the wrong time, but by the end she becomes a full fledged villain and her actions caused more deaths indirectly, than anyone in the series. - Satoko from Higurashi, who went full yandere for Rika. - Eren Yeager - decided to start a war and other edgy shinenigans. - Light Yagami - his God complex becomes more severe over the course of the story and became more and more unhinged. |
